Reborn: The Tyrant's Obsession-Chapter 173: Gained some supporters
Chapter 173: Gained some supporters
"They are brothers?!"
Ella nodded.
"From what I know, Kade belongs to the branch family of the Kings. Then, your boyfriend should also be..." As she spoke she seemed convinced.
So much wrong information in one sentence. Main family, not branch. Heir, not just part of the family. Husband, not boyfriend.
While Ella was pondering on how to bring it up,
Ruby had regained her composure as she focused on the matter at hand, ’’What if Kade knows?"
About this matter, Ella certainly did not feel guilty for ratting Kade out, and tampering his reputation a little.
"There is no way I will go around offending pretty ladies because of him."
Ruby: "_"
Only after they left, a person stepped out from an empty classroom.
Esther had been sitting there to gauge how Ella’s exam went. Who knew she would overhear something like this?
The university hunk is actually Adrian’s brother?
...
Later that evening, when Ella reached her room, she finally checked her phone.
Only then did she come across the viral video of the confrontation between her and Jenny.
She scrolled through the comments for a few minutes. And they were filled with endless mockery aimed towards her.
But much to her surprise, there were a few people who actually spoke in her support—
"The video is obviously trimmed here and there, dumbasses!"
"Even if Ella is being cocky here, shouldn’t they post the full video? *sus*"
"What cocky? If she was in the wrong, why would she be so calm?"
"I don’t follow her but this matter seems iffy."
...
"This... This and this too... They are all supporting her! Did you even edit the video properly?"
"Of course, I did. And I posted them anonymously from various sources," Mo Jun’s subordinate, Ricky, sighed, "Your sister has a huge following and if you track her recent updates, you will see that she has been active on social media lately. Even if most of them hate her, a few will still get swayed—"
"I don’t want to hear about that," Esther got up from his lap and picked up her dress from the floor.
As she started dressing, the young man put on his glasses, "Once the results are out, she won’t be able to show her face anywhere, anyway. So, does it matter?"
’Ding’
The doorbell buzzed and Esther froze.
"Boss is not in Vermilion City right now. Don’t worry," The man put on some clothes as he walked to the door.
’Ding’ ’Ding’
The moment he looked into the peephole, the young hacker was momentarily stunned.
"Who is it?"
"Mo Lia," The man whispered.
Esther’s face turned pale. After Ella publicly declared that Esther was in touch with Max constantly, Mo Jun’s sister slapped her in public because the Mo family and the Hill Family did not get along.
Esther had managed to coax Mo Jun but Mo Lia has been avoiding her ever since.
If Mo Lia caught even a whiff of her presence in Ricky’s room, Esther knew she’d be buried socially—maybe even literally.
So, after Esther picked her stuff up, she grabbed Ricky’s hand and yanked him away from the door, "Mo Lia must not know about us. Quickly send her away. Or in the future, you can get out of my sight."
A few minutes later, the door finally opened, "What took you so long?" Mo Lia stood at the door with a bag in her hand.
Ricky yawned, "I..."
"You were asleep? I heard my brother assigned you some new job. As usual, I was afraid you’d be skipping your meals. Here..." She passed him the bag of food but in the next moment, she froze, "These heels...?"
Ricky stiffened for a moment before he smiled, "A relative dropped by unexpectedly..."
"Oh, why don’t you introduce us...?" As she spoke, she stepped in.
"Lia."
Hearing him say her name so intimately, she paused, "You..."
Ricky cupped her face and stepped towards her, bringing her out of the door, ’’We need to talk."
"Wait, you..." Mo Lia blushed.
"I can’t wait."
...
"Ah, no, I can’t eat anymore. I feel so bloated," Rin slumped on the couch.
The four ladies, Jun, Penny, Rin and Shishi were scattered around the couch and the coffee table in front of them was filled with various delicacies.
"Miss Yu, don’t you want some?" The usually quiet Penny meekly offered a fried chicken towards Ella.
Ella waved her hand, "I am on a diet."
The girl’s face dropped a little as she retracted her hand but Ella grabbed the piece of fried chicken, "I guess one won’t hurt."
Penny nodded.
"That’s right."
Holding the fried chicken in one hand, Ella hit a few keys on her laptop with the other before she closed it, "We finally did it. The website is ready."
"Cheers," Five glasses of juice rose in the air.
"Miss Yu, now that the website is ready, why don’t you release it?" The older lady, June, questioned, "The sooner we release the website, the faster things will start to sell, isn’t it?"
Rin and Penny nodded.
Only Shishi, the woman from Eve’s Mansion cloakroom, was silent.
Ella looked at her, "Shishi, what do you think?"
"Miss Yu is waiting for an opportunity."
"An opportunity?" The rest were a bit lost on that but when seeing the calm smile on Ella’s face, they did not question it further.
The next morning.
It was finally the day of the result declaration.
Ella had expected some more dirty games but the university sent an official notice in the morning.
’The checked papers will be revealed on the huge screen of the conference room for all the students to see in order to ensure partiality.’
"They are awfully cooperative," Kade mumbled when Ella and Ruby arrived in the conference room.
Having ensured that he had passed in all the papers, he seemed to be half floating even as he sat.
The conference room was hustling and bustling with the crowd. Some people had even taken their phones out to record the scene.
Soon, the big screens lit up and scanned answer sheets of the three students appeared side by side.
