Alarms blared to life in the chamber worlds and the chamber of command, danger was approaching.

Marcus had been patiently listening to Ivana’s explanation when the bright sky of the spider chamber world began flashing red, and a continuous buzzing ring struck the insides of all who heard it.

It was the alarms.

Marcus frowned and looked up at the artificial sky calmly, then he glanced at Ralph, who was also staring at the flashing red of the artificial sky.

Both of them had the same thoughts, they were not fit to fight anything that could provoke this kind of alarm system.

"To your chamber worlds everyone," Marcus ordered to the other caste leaders. He was also a caste leader but he had a much higher rank.

Besides, they needed to leave this spider chamber world the way it was until Kael came.

"Ralph, you go with Vixy and Ivana, just in case. Commander Bibi will lead the wolves on your behalf," Marcus said.

Ralph nodded, he had also been thinking the same thing.

Marcus didn’t need to do much though. The few lion lords remaining who had much more authority over the vassals than the caste leaders themselves, had already begun to make commands.

Factor Chambers and Keeper chambers churned with activity. Combat shuttles were being started with their runes blazing with vicious power.

Outside the arkship, it was dark except for the little piece of light that came from the etched runes and glowing edges of the massive vessel.

The dim lighting would have stayed this way if not for the approaching star.

The observation runes and warp signal devices scanned this approaching star and discovered that it wasn’t a star, but a bird.

A really big bird.

Its wings and body were bathed in flames so bright that they could not be seen clearly. All the observers inside the chamber of command could see was a bright being in the shape of a bird.

The scanners were going haywire as they analyzed the temperature of this being.

What was even more terrifying was that this fiery bird was closing in very fast.

Just as it had appeared on their radar, it was already upon them.

*BAM!*

The Phoenix closed in fast, spreading its wings and releasing a cosmic flare that slowed it down a little.

Eleanor raised her head high and cried out, It was here.

Her legs stretched out, her glowing talons curved into deadly piercers.

She slammed her whole mass onto the side of the arkship, causing the vessel to tilt.

Her talons sank into the hull of the arkship, easily breaking past the external defenses and the thick metal exterior.

It was like paper before her might. The barrier just shattered and the thick metal surface melted fast before giving way for the talons to sink deeper.

This way, Eleanor had taken a firm grip of the arkship and it wouldn’t be able to escape without her.

She beat her wings on the body of the arkship, causing more damage and causing serious earthquakes in the chamber worlds.

Inside the arkship, the chamber world designated for the foxes had been breached.

Vixy and Ralph looked up to the artificial sky where they could see three gigantic talons clawing into the chamber world.

The Phoenix had landed directly above the chamber world of the foxes, and it wasn’t a coincidence.

Through the jagged and melting gaps left by the large talons, Ralph, Vixy, and all who were looking up could catch a glimpse of the fiery bird.

Through the gap, a monstrous aura unlike anything they had ever faced before was felt.

Heat.

Terrifying heat swarmed down through the cracks. The pressure was so great that the air within the chamber world was still contained within.

Normally, with so many defense mechanisms broken, a simple breach like this would cause all the gases, light and heavy, including breathable air, to be sucked out instantly.

But that wasn’t the case. The pressure from the Phoenix was so great that everything was still contained within the chamber world.

This also meant that Eleanor would have to stay in place and maintain her aura for the foxes to be able to survive. Something she wasn’t even thinking of doing at the moment.

"Where is she!" Eleanor asked, her voice thundering into the hearts and minds of all the creatures inside the arkship.

"All of you, evacuate the chamber world now!" Ralph ordered.

Vixy had already begun to drive the foxes to leave for the nearest gate.

As Vixy was speaking to the other fox leaders to help her out, she caught sight of something that nearly made her heart stop beating.

Ivana was standing in the distance, directly under one of the massive flaming claws.

She seemed dazed and amazed by what she was seeing. Her nine tails swerved to the side, left and right.

Her orange eyes pierced the cracks to look into the eyes of the Phoenix.

Coincidentally, Eleanor looked down into the cracks and saw a very small figure standing there like a dumb doll.

Their eyes jammed.

*SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!*

It was as if Eleanor had been struck by an imaginary hammer. All the agony of the Phoenixes who had died before her poured out in the form of a deathly screech.

The screech was so loud.

Ivana stumbled back, the look of curiosity on her face being replaced with a look of fear.

Suddenly, dark blue flames lit up on her body, surrounding her and lighting her up with a mysterious glow.

These dark blue flames did not burn for her though, it was an instinctive cry for help.

This was the fox fire, the only fire that was exclusive to the fox race.

The dark blue glow of the flame surrounding Ivana increased. The glow washed over the bodies of the foxes who were already rushing to her, including Vixy.

Suddenly, Vixy felt all her powers rise and all her weakness reduced. It was like she had been invigorated by the purest energizer in the world.

A whooping fifty percent increase, that was what Vixy received just from the glow of that dark blue Fox Fire.

But Vixy did not have time to relish in the feeling of this power up, her restless mind was focused on saving Ivana.
