Chapter 617: Chapter 617: Jade White Spider

Tier 5, that was the power level equivalent Natalia was at right now.

All manner of colors flashed across Kael’s golden gaze, allowing him to see as many details about this new Primordial Spider.

"You really did it," Kael muttered, not letting any emotion show through his face.

The cocoon could not stop him from seeing what he wanted to see.

Every single circuit of power was observed by him. From the moment Natalia still served as the hub for the connection, to when she disconnected it.

Kael learned.

"Thanks to you, Your Majesty," Natalia said from within as the cocoon trembled.

"Hmmm," Kael knew that she was just being unnecessarily humble. He played no part in her comprehension beyond providing a roof over her head and a safety net.

At least, she had a whole community of powerhouses to fall back on in case she failed.

If she didn’t become the Primordial Spider, she would just have to relent and wait for her replacement to be born.

That anti-goal was also a driving force that caused her to keep on moving despite the low odds of success.

If she didn’t become the Primordial Spider, Kael wouldn’t be here to personally congratulate her.

But Natalia would be lying if she said she didn’t guess some of Kael’s other intentions when coming here.

"How do you feel, Natalia?" The All-King asked, putting his arms behind his back and observing the cocoon from top to bottom.

By now, since the Connection had been dissolved, all the creatures that had been under its influence were now starting to wake up.

All over the arkship, those creatures that had been subjected to trance-like states were starting to wake up one by one.

The spiders that had their webs connected to the large network of threads that were also connected to Natalia also began to wake up.

Kael’s ears twitched.

The creatures one hundred meters away who were watching Kael turned back when they heard the rustling of leaves and branches.

They saw spiders and arachnid humanoids crawling out of the burrows in the ground with different expressions.

One thing that was very peculiar about these emerging spiders was the blimmer in their eyes.

They had been exposed to the Connection.

No being directly exposed to such a network would ever remain the same.

For each spider, they felt as though they had once belonged to a vast thought process. A moment where their very thoughts were nothing but another addition to the great Connection.

They had served as nodes for information to be transferred, for concepts to be understood. They normally would never be able to understand some of those concepts or receive some of that information, but they did.

And their minds were changed, never to be normal again.

"I feel...great, Your Majesty," Natalia responded from the interior of the cocoon.

Kael nodded, it wasn’t a half-baked transformation then. There was no Law Rejection or anything.

She was the Primordial Spider of this era, and unless she dies, there will not be another Primordial Spider.

"Congratulations then, but I’m afraid there’s no time to celebrate. The sooner you become of use, the sooner I have an advantage over my enemies..." Kael said with a steady and deeply authoritative tone.

He turned around, flashing his faded golden gaze at the spiders that had emerged from the ground.

There was a pause from Natalia, she seemed to hesitate, think, then she thought some more.

What she was thinking of was unknown, but she used logic to make her decision.

"As you wish, Your Majesty," Natalia finally replied.

Kael blinked, almost nodding in approval. Natalia did not let the power get to her head. Although, he didn’t really appreciate that hesitation.

He may need to give her some ’’words’ on obeying before thinking when it comes to his authority.

Doubt and treason will not be tolerated, no matter how valuable she was, even if she was a Primordial.

Natalia would have to learn that whether Kael was talking to her rudely or respectfully did not matter.

At least, to entities like the All-King, the matters of etiquette held very little value and importance to him.

It was like assuming Ibadon was a kind person because his face was usually calm or because he was honest. All that didn’t matter.

What mattered to Kael was the intention.

If Natalia were still hooked up on the importance of mortal shenanigans like respect and etiquette, then there would be a much bigger problem.

"You can come out of the cocoon, your work isn’t on this arkship," Kael said as he created some distance between the two of them.

"Oh," Natalia wanted to ask, but she didn’t.

"Yes, it’s better that you and the spiders have a base of operations for what you may be doing in the future.

But before all that..."

Kael then waved his hand, and a golden stack of paper appeared in front of the cocoon.

Meanwhile, the cocoon trembled continuously as the being within attempted to come out.

The creatures from far away looked at this with anticipation, especially Marcus, Ralph, and the onlooking spiders. They were eager to see Natalia’s new form.

The sound of webs being torn was heard, a jade white claw tore through the silk before stabbing into the ground just behind Kael.

Kael didn’t flinch. Instead, he seemed to have his mind on something else.

The jade white claw pushed against the ground, and another jade white claw struck out of the cocoon in another direction.

As more and more jade white claws came out, it became clear that these sharp appendages were not claws but actually the legs of a spider.

More and more came out until eight giant spider legs were sticking out of the now badly torn cocoon.

The main body of the spider was still concealed but through the darkness of the falling cocoon that acted like a hood, they could all see the eight eyes.

Each eye has its own unique color pattern that sets it apart from the rest.

Natalia shook her body gently, and her aura dissolved the silky cocoon away, revealing her true body to the world.

A large jade white spider that stood three meters tall with its eight pointy legs pointed in all directions and lodged into the ground.

She towered over Kael’s body and looked down over the land. Her aura spilled forth, parting into two invisible dead upon coming in contact with Kael.

Kael didn’t look back to see the new jade white spider form of Natalia, he had already seen it when she was in the cocoon.

Kael then handed the floating stack of golden papers to Natalia who read it carefully before eventually signing it.

Kael nodded again in approval. This was one more Primordial added to his circle.

He could feel the new power surging through his body from Natalia now, Connection Essence.

He could also feel the new Spider System taking form and linking all the spiders he had as vassals to it.

This was just the start.

As soon as Natalia signed the contract, she noticed that she could feel a different type of connection. This wasn’t the connection she had created before where she had established something like a hive mind.

No, this connection was something greater than that.

It wasn’t a connection of individuals, but of systems.

With just a thought, Natalia and the new Spider System would be able to serve as a hub that would link every System Kael had created.

All she needed to do was command it.

"Should I, Your Majesty?" Natalia asked as she lowered her head slightly and his her fangs from view. All eight of her eyes stared intently at Kael’s back. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

She knew that the All-King would have sensed the same thing she could sense as she could tell that Kael now had the same power she had.

Indeed, Kael could sense it.

He was aware that he could now connect the systems together, allowing them to link as many creatures to each other.

This would revolutionize his mission platforms. Kael was eager to make it happen.

But not yet.

This was a step that would propel them all forward. It was a massive movement that could force the collection of civilizations to advance faster than they anticipated.

It would usher in a whole new level of cooperation amongst all the races involved.

This was something that had to be handled very carefully.

"Not yet," Kael said, "Once you start, you’ll become immobile. It cannot be in this arkship," Kael said.

He then beckoned for one of the lion kings to come over.

Once Natalia established the Great Connection, something similar to the regular Connection but with the Systems involved, she would be forced into an immobile state and live in a cocoon for the rest of her life.

Anything she would ever want to experience would have to be through those she was connected to.

Natalia did not mind this and Kael didn’t mind it obviously. He just wanted a safe place to guarantee an uninterrupted network.

The lion king that Kael called flew over, "Yes All-King," He said respectfully.

Kael gestured to the large jade white spider behind him, "Kindly escort Natalia to the arkship I have chosen for her and help supervise the transfer of all spiders to that arkship."
