Outside the pyramid, where the alliance meeting was taking place.

The pyramid was still shrouded by the distorted field of spatial power, blocking it from view for those waiting outside and preventing them from knowing what was transpiring beyond.

Currently, Abel, the brown-winged lion king who was also the leader of the welcoming party had his hands folded as he stood in front of the crowd of humanoid lions and Creation Dragons.

His eyes were focused on the dome of spatial distortion surrounding the pyramid. Many things were going through his mind right now.

A few moments ago, he had spotted a figure clad in black clothes slip into the spatial distortion field as if it were not there.

That figure had come out of nowhere and also disappeared almost instantly. If not that he had seen it with his own eyes and manually reviewed his memories, he would have thought that he was seeing things.

Abel thought of the possibility of an assassination attempt but it was very likely.

The chances of that happening inside the Leonine Heavenly Realm were not impossible but it was very low.

Any other creature that came into Leonine Heaven would stand out to all the lions who were linked to the system. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

The Primordial Supporters had long developed some kind of sensitivity toward the essence of their law. They could 'perceive' when someone had Conquering Essence inside them or not.

So technically, no one would be able to sneak up on Kael without immediately triggering the distress signal that would summon power kings to his side within that very instant.

The other possibility was a lion, a traitor, or a sinner possibly. But that was also very unlikely because it worked on the same mechanics.

The Conqueror's Intent flowed through every lion attached to the lion system. Although it was not a mind control mechanism that assured loyalty, it would definitely alert Kael if a Primordial Supporter started having hostile intentions toward him.

Fortunately, such a thing has never happened and the lions were spared their autonomy.

Besides, they were all linked by the Conqueror's Intent which kept their ambitions aligned with the All-King, only under the influence of mind control would they suddenly desire the death of the All-King.

As for the traitors and sinner scum that wished for the despicable peace, they would also be fished out easily since they were not attached to the lion system.

Assassination was not an impossible thing, but it was just not likely at this point.

So the only explanation for that mysterious figure was that it was probably a familiar entity.

Abel shifted his thoughts, not thinking too much about it since there were already failsafes in place in case of any assassination attempt.

He was thinking of the stress he would have to go through once this alliance was formed.

He, like many other kings, was not afraid of going to war, they even saw war as a platform to test out their might and prove their Lionhood.

War would usher in a whole load of activities that would help them fill up their Lionhood bars easily.

Missions would be surplus.

It was a dangerous and exciting event for the lions.

The issue was the allies that they would have to consider as it would usually come with rules.

The last alliance the lion had with the tigers came with the lion having to compromise on some of their things to accommodate the mindset and culture of their ancient cousins.

They would probably have to compromise again if they ally with these Creation Dragons.

The most dreaded thing for Abel was the possibility of having to share war loot with these wormy creatures.

It was such a dreadful thought that his heart beat spiked just imagining it.

Abel took a deep breath, feeling the rise of his muscular chest against the boundaries of his folded arms.

"King Abel…"

Abel's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of someone talking beside him.

Abel shifted his eyes slightly, barely hiding the look of disdain as he glanced at the humanoid beside him.

This person has been trying to talk with him ever since the pyramid was shrouded in the dome of spatial distortion.

Abel was more comfortable with going over his own thoughts which he found more interesting than anything a Creation Dragon would have to say to him, so he had mostly ignored the latter.

Unfortunately, the Creation Dragon who was talking to him either did not know how to handle subtle rejection or was just intentionally ignoring the disdain Abel had for him.

"I really look forward to fighting with you guys against the Destruction Dragons, it'll be an opportunity to create some lasting bonds…" The Creation Dragon, which was in the form of a nonchalant-looking man with metal horns in his head, said casually.

"What?" Abel furrowed his brows and turned to look at the metal-horned humanoid.

"Oh," The Creation Dragon was a bit surprised to see that he had gained a reaction from Abel.

"I was saying that it would be good for us to reap the benefits of this war together as a race.

We can share…"

"Oh my goodness!" Abel exclaimed, cutting off the Creation Dragon and looking at the latter as if he were looking at a sinner.

The poor Creation Dragon was confused, wondering why Abel was acting as if he had heard the most blasphemous thing in the world.

"Did you just say share?!" Abel asked, raising his voice and attracting the attention of the other lions and Creation Dragons around.

"Yes… I mean, No…"The Creation Dragon stammered, unsure of what was wrong with what he had said.

"He said share?" One lion king asked the crowd, his eyes opened wide with disbelief.

"I know he did not just say what I think he said," Another King lamented while hissing.

The Creation Dragons had to look around them and notice the dissatisfied expression on the faces of the lions to tell that something was wrong.

"You!" Abel pointed his clawed finger at the Creation Dragon, "What is your name?"

"My name is Thiel," The Creation Dragon answered.

"Do you know the meaning of Heresy?" Abel asked, tilting his head to the side.

"Heresy?" Thiel wondered out loud.

Abel shook his head while echoing a dark chuckle, "I should bash your skull for the blunder.

But since I am in a merciful mood today, I won't hold it against you," Abel said with his head raised high.

"Abel is in a merciful mood guys!" One lion king shouted.

"Ah, so disappointing, I thought I would see some action!"

"But look at this worm, he's not even thanking Abel for his infinite mercy!"

"The ungratefulness of these worms knows no bounds!"

"And he's still standing there looking like an idiot!"

Before Thiel knew what was happening, the clamor of lion kings and princes rained down on him in the form of very hurtful insults.

Abel was still standing there, looking like he was expecting something.

"Thank you?" Thiel said, asking the question more than actually making a statement.

Abel seemed not to tell the difference as he accepted it as a genuine thanks for his mercy.

"You're welcome, worm.

I'll bestow some Heresy Education now."

Abel then unfolded his arms and put them behind him, assuming the stance of a lecturer with his nose still pointing toward the sky.

"To claim that you can share something with the lions is to also claim that you are equal to the lions.

Are you equal to the lions? Never!

The lions have no equal, so therefore, they were not required to share anything with anyone.

It is their universal right.

To act against this universal right of the lions is what we call an act of Heresy.

If you think you are equal to the lions, you are a Heretic.

If you act like you are equal to the lions, you are a Heretic.

If you desire the privileges of the lions without being a lion yourself, you are a Heretic!

If you fight against the lions without the direction from another lion, that is heaven-defying heresy.

If you disobey the will of the lions, that makes you a Heretic!

…"

Abel continued to list all the things that made someone a heretic. The rules were so much in favor of the lions that it was so unfair.

"Can't we be friends?" Thiel suddenly asked, interrupting Abel.

Abel paused and sank into deep thought. He genuinely thought of the implications of this question.

The crowd of lions who had been listening also began to think.

Friends? Friendship? It sounded so weird in their head as they thought about it.

Kings aren't meant to have friends, only followers or foes.

"Is that Heresy?" Abel turned to the nearest lion king close to him for consultation.

The lion king shrugged his shoulders with a deep frown, "I don't know, it sounds a bit like heresy to me.

What do you think?"

The other Lion Kings and Princes also gisted with themselves for a few seconds.

They all came to the general conclusion soon after.

Friendship was definitely heresy.
