Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 647: The Weakness
President Musty shivered as he was being stared at by those intimidating green eyes.
But he hid his fear. Alas, he didn’t try to look Ibadon in the eyes at all or try to show dominance, he was not stupid.
"Derylia?" Elizabeth asked as she tilted her head to the side.
"Ibadon’s mother?"
The name was familiar, and she soon remembered where she had heard it before.
Ibadon hardly talked about his mother or father unless it was in the context of revenge.
But President Musty was saying that the strategy he wanted to use was the same strategy Derylia had used when she was alive.
As far as Elizabeth was concerned, Derylia had not actually used any strategy to do anything throughout her life. She had mostly gone with the flow and watched the consequences of her actions unfold before her eyes.
Everyone including Ibadon knew this. His mother had not been some highly intelligent genius who came up with a plan to take down her own race.
In fact, one could say that compared to the average lion, Derylia might be seen as being on the dull side.
So President Musty’s calling any Derylia’s unintentional actions a strategy was just him sucking up to Ibadon.
Perhaps it worked, Ibadon’s eyes glowed a healthy green as a mood of excitement overflowed from his body.
This excitement was genuine, but it also didn’t last.
"Hmmm," His eyes changed back to full red and he became more rational, "Are you talking about the contract she had with the previous Primordial Dragon of Destruction?" Ibadon asked.
President Musty nodded fervently, "Yes yes yes. That one.
She, by the nature of the contract she had with the dragons, had effectively turned the Law of Conquering from a dominant law, to a subordinate law.
A universal sin.
But it worked. Reversed Conquering Essence made the lions very vulnerable. And it can work again."
"How?" Elizabeth asked, "The last time, it was a Primordial Lioness who did it.
This time, the Primordial Lion of this era is fiercely antagonistic and he has shown the capabilities of being aware of things even if you think he wasn’t.
How do you want to fool him into signing a contract that would make him and his whole race significantly weaker?"
President Musty shook his head and gave a side glance at Ibadon’s large head. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Surely enough, there was a small smirk at the edge of Ibadon’s lips, wide enough for a little bit of that jade white fang to be exposed.
"Who says we explicitly need the Primordial Lion to do anything? We know he’s not going to cooperate.
But you don’t need him, you just need a Primordial affiliated with the Law of Conquering.
Someone like me..."
At the fade of President Musty’s final words, the throne hall erupted into a cacophony of telepathic discussions.
In reality, everywhere was silent, but on the spiritual level, thousands of opinions were being exchanged.
The Horse Governors never knew that this was what President Musty was planning. If they knew they would have tried to suggest another strategy.
From the looks of it, his four wives seemed to already know about it as they were quite calm.
"Mr President, what is this?"
"Mr President, you cannot possibly be thinking of going through with this!"
"Your Excellency, this is a very bad idea!"
"Your Majesty, think about the future!"
The governors poured hundreds of telepathic clamors into President Musty’s mind.
But with a ruthless look in his eyes, Musty shut off his mind and focused solely on Ibadon and Elizabeth who had a carefully suppressed smile on her face.
"You? You want to give your Conquering Essence for us to use to fight the lions?" Ibadon asked as he leaned his head down.
President Musty nodded, his golden dots for eyes shimmering with determination, "It has to be done.
The All-King is growing stronger at a rate that none of you can understand.
I am linked to the Law of Conquering and have begun my embodiment, I can literally feel his progress.
I started before him, but the All-King has long surpassed me.
If we don’t cut him down now, once and for all, we stand to lose everything we have been protecting.
With all due respect, Regent Ibadon. I have a feeling that if Kael is allowed to grow too strong, you will never have a chance of revenge ever again."
President Musty didn’t need to say all this, they would have accepted either way, but he still did. He was letting them know that he despised the lion race as much as the Destruction Dragons.
And in return for helping him fight the lions, he would gladly help them fight against the Creation Dragons.
For if the lions were not stopped, the Horses would be properly doomed.
"What makes you think we won’t use it against you?" Ibadon asked, his claws scraping the crystal edges of the crystal throne.
This question silenced everyone in the room. This was the biggest issue that came to the minds of the Horse Governors.
What if the dragons decided to use this against them? After all, it wasn’t as if this strategy was not possible. It was very possible as long as they had President Musty around.
But who was to say that the Destruction Dragons would not turn around and use this weakness to eliminate the Horse Federation?
President Musty shrugged his shoulders, "You don’t need this to eliminate us.
You of all people should know that the Horse Federation cannot hope to match the Dragon Empire or the Lion Civilization in terms of might, we don’t even have our own heaven.
That is a painful reality to comprehend, but it’s the truth.
Even if I didn’t offer the weakness, you all would still be able to fight and win against us.
Besides, what value do we have if we are dead to you? You’d rather that we remain alive and well so that we can be better allies."
Hearing this, Ibadon smiled, "Indeed," He said.
