Chapter 651: Chapter 651: Keep Them Busy

"Katari, we may now have our first target for Project Desolate Divine," Kael calmly stated to Katari.

Katari nodded her head while keeping her eyes on the Water Lioness, "We were just wondering which heaven we would have to invade first.

Fortunately, this Primordial has given us a valid reason to come to him by painting himself a target and attracting our attention.

What heaven was it, Your Majesty?" Katari asked.

"It was the Horror Heaven, formerly privatized by a Primordial Centipede of Fear," Kael said.

Katari’s eyes glazed as she searched her memory well.

"Wasn’t the most powerful Primordial Centipede killed by the fifth Primordial Lion, Silax?" She asked.

In the history records, although many small details had been lost forever, there was still a record of larger events especially since most of the record keeping started during the time of Silax.

Silax the Peaceful had achieved peace by eliminating everything possible that could bring unrest to the Lion Civilization.

It was ironic that although he was considered peaceful, he had amassed a long list of enemies.

Out of that list of enemies, about ninety percent of them were eliminated before Silax died.

The Primordial Centipede was one of them. Back then, Silax wasn’t thinking like Kael who wanted to subjugate the Primordials.

If Silax had sensed a threat, he would promptly begin the process of swift neutralization.

"Indeed," Kael said, "That particular Primordial had been legendary, almost succeeding in single-handedly taking over one of the heavens for himself.

It seems he had been one of the Primordials of that time who had been given the opportunity like Silax to colonize their own heaven.

And he had succeeded in a way even though he ended up falling to Silax.

Now, because of him, every Primordial Centipede that came after had some sort of innate link to Horror Heaven.

That would explain why this Primordial had access to the Horror Heaven.

Well, it didn’t matter now because Kael was now drawn to the Horror Heaven.

This was the perfect opportunity to test out some strategies and see if Project Desolate Divine was feasible, to see if another heaven could be conquered.

"Shall I prepare the list of missions for Desolate Divine? I have some ideas, Your Majesty," Kael said, wanting to help out.

After all, Kael could churn out hundreds of thousands of missions on a moment’s notice to mobilize the whole force of the lion race, technically, he didn’t need Katari to do anything for him in that regard.

But still, "Fine, submit it by tomorrow, I’ll review it and see if I’ll change or add anything."

Katari beamed a smile of pleasure, this was good.

Katari was just giving her something to do. It was a good idea for people with harems to always keep their harem members busy.

In his former life, there were many men who had the capabilities to have two or more mistresses, and they did it.

However, many of them witnessed this structure of keeping multiple romantic interests collapse on them for several reasons.

One of them was that the harem members never really got busy with anything.

The men had the habit of just allowing their wives, girlfriends, or mistresses to laze around as they provided everything and lorded over the relationship with the status of being high value.

This would normally work if most women were rational, unfortunately, they weren’t. If there were three women in a room, two were likely to be dramatic, if not all of them.

And in some cases, it worked, but those who wanted a perfect structure for their harems always made sure that they kept the harem members busy.

Whether it was with business roles, routine errands, or certain works that made her enmeshed in the life of the man.

Among the other things that men did to maintain their harem, this one was one of the methods that worked very well in maintaining stability and also regulating the problem of sharing attention.

Kael was simply applying this casually and didn’t think much of it. Even if his lionesses were not busy with something, they couldn’t necessarily threaten his peace of mind just like that with drama.

Even if he didn’t make them busy, they would usually get busy on their own, just like N’bayé or Priya who had their own thing that they were doing.

Either way, keeping them busy with roles or activities was a way to minimize friction.

"She’s weak..." Katari said as she nodded at the Water Lioness that had been pulled out of the heavenly gate.

Kael had never intended on saving much. That he ended up saving Wei was just due to convenience. He was able to save only Wei.

As for the others, he wasn’t able to save them and quickly pushed them to the back of his mind.

Heavens knew what those lionesses were currently experiencing now that Kael had worsened their fates.

Kael just hoped that the Primordial of Fear was a bit lenient. Not because he cared but because he had left some Conquering Essence and Connection Essence mix inside the bodies of some lionesses. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

He couldn’t sense those law essences now due to the gap between heavens but he could use them as a beacon in the future to force his way into Horror Heaven.

If they all died, Kael would have to think of another way to get there.

"Wei," Kael said, his voice deep and penetrating.

Wei raised her head up. She was still in her lioness’ form, her limbs shaking as she struggled to stay standing.

She was deeply tired, and her mind was getting foggy. All the last bits of strength that she had were expelling her attempt to escape from that beast.

For a moment, she was exposed to the power of a tier 5 entity, allowing her some free seconds to actualize her escape before Kael pulled her out through the forcefully opened heavenly gate.

"All-King," She said before everything went black for her. She crumbled like a bag of sand to the floor under the watchful gaze of Kael and Katari.
