Saintess? Not Anymore! I'd Rather be a Destroyer-Chapter 307 - 244: Argue
"You’re now a goddess of the human nation, that’s a big job for a young child like you so I will guide you, okay," the High god said, holding Paige’s hand.
"Yes, I’ll be willing to learn," Paige answered with a beaming smile.
Once Paige learned the way to be a goddess after many years and learned how to control her powers. She watched the island grow in peace and harmony. She saw where she had died. Her body was still there but all that was left were bones. She hated these people for not helping her just because she was ugly so she cursed everyone in the island to become ugly humans. The more beautiful they were the uglier they would become.
After that, she used the way the High god taught her to exact her dominance on the human nation. If one didn’t pray to her and offer gifts after a month their looks would deteriorate and they would be affected with sicknesses until they came to the goddess of beauty temple. Doing this made the humans know the consequences of ignoring the goddess of beauty. She didn’t exactly hate humans nor did she favor them either.
"A bunch of selfish individuals," she would always comment as she watched the human world.
She always showed herself to the humans once a year so that they would know she was real and not a joke. The gods depended on the humans the same way the humans depend on the gods. If they aren’t offered faith points they would slowly lose their powers and their title as a god.
Paige ruled the human nation for 100,000 years after the former god of beauty had died so how could a mere child say she was an insignificant god!!
"Why the hell are you crying?" Eva asked as she looked at Paige confused
"How dare you call me an insignificant goddess? Do you know how hard it is to be a goddess all the work and taking care of the people’s wishes and needs? It is all done by me! So how dare you make a fuss when I make you the Saintess. So what if you die, why should I care? I don’t like you for being more beautiful than me. I’m the goddess of beauty. I’m supposed to be the most beautiful!!" Paige claimed with a threatening look, however, Eva didn’t flinch.
Eva was currently in Aurianna’s body. Paige could tell this but was still ranting as if Aurianna could hear. But honestly, even if she did there was no doubt in Eva’s mind that she wouldn’t have cared. If anything, Aurianna would’ve basked in Paige’s distress.
"Ughh," Eva stared at Paige in disgust, "Who knew a goddess like her could act so childish."
"Humph, and why is a god helping a human? Which god are you? You’ll receive punishment from the High god for messing with the matters of the world,"
Paige got up from the ground and then walked towards Eva to inspect her aura up close. But no matter how much she tried, Eva’s aura wasn’t familiar to her.
Eva crossed her hands as she rolled her eyes, "Didn’t you basically do that too,"
"I’m different!" Paige declared her face red from rage.
"What a brat." Eva turned away, refusing to look at her any further.
"Well all I wanted to ask is for your church," Eva said, maintaining her disinterested attitude.
"My church? Who the hell are you to ask me for that??!!" Paige yelled in surprise and anger.
"No way, you’re getting none of it," Paige shook her head adamantly.
"Then I’ll punch you till you give it to me," Eva suddenly grabbed Paige by her clothes, holding her up in the air slightly.
"Tch, as if. Every god and goddess knows they need faith to keep them alive. So I’m not giving it to you no matter what!!" Paige declared not flinching because of Eva’s threat.
’My aura isn’t intimidating enough, what more if Paige decides to seriously fight I doubt in my current state I could beat her. Or at the very least in Aurianna’s body, I would stand a better chance in my own...’ Eva contemplated as she stared at Paige with a frown.
"Isn’t your church the one in the Kingdom of Sandeph? So why do you act like you have many?" Eva snorted, dropping her back to the ground.
Paige stuck the landing though, patting down the spot where Eva grabbed at, "Hah, what do you mean? I’m a 3rd rank goddess. Why would I only have one church? I have more than 50 temples across the world." Paige bragged.
"Why are you even asking, should you not know this?!" Paige glared.
’Hehe she’s taking the bait just according to plan,’ Eva thought with an evil smile.
"I know, I was just curious."
"Which god are you?" Paige asked again, persisting about Eva’s identity.
Eva turned away from her, "The god of nanya."
"Nanya?"
"None of your business," Eva said with a smirk.
Paige gritted her teeth in anger at the snarky retort.
Eva continued, her arms crossed now, "Just so you know Aurianna would be taking your church in Sandeph."
"Hell no!!" Paige refuted.
In less than a few seconds a dagger clouded in black aura appeared in Eva’s hands as she directed it towards Paige’s face; her skin bubbled unnaturally as a reaction.
Paige trembled in fear as she stared at the artifact. It wasn’t the artifact’s power that was the source of her fear, the cause was the fact that her skin wasn’t regenerating after being touched by it.
’At this rate, I’ll be disfigured. No, the goddess of beauty can never be ugly!’
"Tch fine fine, leave! Take that church I don’t want it anymore," Paige cried as Eva retracted her dagger and the Enclosed Reality dispersed.
"Thank you goddess for granting my wish," Aurianna smiled politely.
"If not for that god supporting you, you wouldn’t even be able to touch me," Paige said to Aurianna through mind communication before disappearing.
"I truly underestimated the power of the goddess and how far her religion has spread. You need to read information about the world I gave you Aurianna," Eva muttered in Aurianna’s ear.
