----

The Paragon Ancestor's body was split in half, and his lower and upper body fell into the water.

Both body parts floated for a moment until they began to sink.

Splash!

A second later, Corey brought out both body parts before they sank too deeply.

When he did, he looked at the face of the Paragon Ancestor.

The Paragon Ancestor's Will said nothing, but he could see and feel the pride that was in his eyes.

Although he had cut the Paragon Ancestor's Will in half, his Will was not destroyed and could not be destroyed so easily.

The Paragon Ancestor's Will was still conscious, and if Corey placed both body parts together, they would rejoin at a fast rate.

This was the same for even Prince Zakar'el's Will. With time, his Will would recover because he had not truly destroyed the Will of the Prince.

All three Wills were the Wills of beings beyond his comprehension, and even if they were just fractions of their original Will, he could not destroy the three Wills despite his current Will's strength.

He needed more power and knowledge about Wills to be able to completely remove the three Wills from his body.

As Corey looked at the pride in the Paragon Ancestor's eyes, he smiled softly and shook his head.

"I thought I told you not to help me."

He paused, then he chuckled softly.

"Well, you actually didn't help me. You nearly killed me multiple times, so it's not like you helped me. But you taught me a very high-level skill, I guess."

He released a soft sigh, then he clenched his fists.

The world trembled around his fists as he burned his Will, and it looked like the world would break if he released a punch.

He stopped burning his Will and looked at the Paragon Ancestor.

"You really are a mad man to have developed such a mad technique. Because I have an Undying Will, I can use the technique without fear. If I didn't, I'd die in less than a minute."

Corey looked at the Paragon Ancestor with slight awe and also curiousity.

"But I'm curious. Why did you want to teach me this technique? Would I need it in the near future or far future?"

Unsurprisingly, there was no response from the Paragon Ancestor, and Corey sighed.

"I guess I'll find out eventually."

Dense black mist came out of his hand, and the Paragon Ancestor's body parts were covered in a hexagonal sphere just like the Supreme Ancestor.

Sigh

Corey released a deep sigh, then he looked up at the sky with his eyes closed.

He said nothing and just kept on staring at the sky with closed eyes, then he spoke coldly.

"Do you want to keep on hiding like a rat? Or do you want to die without saying a word?"

There was no response for nearly fifteen seconds, making it to look like Corey was mad and was just talking to himself.

He released a disappointed sigh.

"A quick and embarrassing death it is."

Corey opened his eyes and twisted his neck to the sides.

He was about to take a step forward, but a voice suddenly resounded around him.

"Just... who are you?"

Corey turned and looked behind him where a familiar figure stood not too far away from him.

This figure was the Will of his Nightmares Finger. The Will of an Old One.

The Old One's Will was wearing a long robe but Corey could not see his face or even his arms, legs, and feet.

It was like the Will was just a floating robe where one could only see darkness if one tried to make out its face.

Corey was not taken aback by this. Instead, he decided to ask the most important question that was on his mind.

"I thought I had killed you. How are you still alive?" Corey asked with a tilt of his head.

The figure remained silent for a moment, and Corey rolled his eyes.

"I didn't call you out so that you could be silent and mysterious. If I didn't want to hear anything from you, I'd have killed you instead of calling you out."

The figure did not reply immediately. He looked at the Paragon Ancestor, the Supreme Ancestor, then at Prince Zakar'el.

Corey could not see the figure's face, but he could sense the shock and disbelief the figure had.

"I don't have time for this."

Corey took a step forward and instantly appeared in front of the Old One.

"Wait!"

The Old One shouted, and Corey who was about to swing his axe and cut the Old One into pieces paused.

He tilted his head slightly with his axe glinting dangerously.

"You killed my spirit but you didn't kill my Will. That's why I'm still alive, and I'm sure you already knew that."

"Then why didn't you try to attack me or take over my body after all these years. I wasn't aware of your presence at all." Corey asked curiously, and the Old One chuckled mockingly.

"There was a presence in you that terrified me. I hid myself from that presence since that being could have killed me if I was ever found out."

'A presence? Rhea? Nina? Or something else. It can't be the Paragon Ancestor since the Old Ones should definitely know about the Paragon Ancestor.'

Corey frowned with a pondering expression, then he decided to ask a question.

"Was it the bird that killed you that made you terrified?"

The Old One shook its head. "No. It's something else and I don't know what or who it is."

"I see." Corey frowned deeply, then he looked around and spread his senses to observe every single inch of this World of Wills.

Since the Old One couldn't tell him who it was, he was trying to see if he could locate the being in this place.

But after going through every nook and cranny of the world, he found nothing else.

"Hmm."

Corey decided not to dwell too much on it. Since this being had not interfered or hurt him in any way, it was alright for now. He had a lot of other things to do.

"Who are you? And how can you defeat the Ancestors of the Paragons and Supremes? What sort of a monster are you?"

The Old One asked, and Corey smiled. Without giving a response, he swung his axe at a speed the Old One could not follow.

Three seconds later, the Old One's body split into two vertical halves. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
