Special Forces Medic-Chapter 625 - 587: I Want All of You to Be Buried with Me
"Murong Yu, stop playing dumb over there!" Although restrained by Wu Shuang, Hua Qingyi easily breaks free from Wu Shuang’s hold. The person knocked to the ground quickly scrambles up, trying to grab Hua Qingyi from behind. But the latter swiftly turns to face her. "Woman, you’d better stop while you can. I don’t want to hurt you."
Upon hearing Hua Qingyi’s words, Wu Shuang for the first time sees the manly side of Hua Qingyi. He is genuinely angry, so she turns her gaze to Mu Rongyun. There’s a pitiful look on her face that makes Mu Rongyun turn away. This isn’t something that can be solved with sympathy. He doesn’t want Wu Shuang to get involved, but the entire situation is beyond his prediction and control.
"She has nothing to do with this." Mu Rongyun speaks up to divert Hua Qingyi’s attention to himself. His disdain for Hua Qingyi is evident, and of course, he has little regard for this government heir. At least Xiao Lin let him have some admiration; this person, apart from fooling around with women, has no qualities worth appreciating.
"It’s good you know that!" Hua Qingyi turns to face Mu Rongyun, who has already taken off his glasses. The atmosphere changes immediately; the initially gentle demeanor now holds an air of reckless arrogance in the abandoned brick kiln. One can clearly see the shadow of Xiao Lin in this man. "Where’s Xiao Lin?"
"I don’t know." Mu Rongyun replies bluntly, simultaneously preparing to defend against Hua Qingyi, who is ready to strike.
Expecting Hua Qingyi to make a move, Mu Rongyun has already leaped a few steps away when Hua Qingyi attacks, without making a counterattack.
Hua Qingyi stares at Mu Rongyun, a peculiar expression in his beautiful eyes. What seems like a simple escape is, in truth, Mu Rongyun only jumping away at the last moment from Hua Qingyi’s attack. It’s a form of self-confidence; he’s not worried about getting hurt in those brief fractions of a second and fully believes he can evade at that moment.
Mu Rongyun’s escape might seem like an inability to fight back to others, but to Hua Qingyi, it’s a provocation. So, he narrows his eyes, no longer considering this a mere trial, but engaging seriously without the slightest negligence. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
"If anything happens to Xiao Lin, I will ensure all of you are buried with him." Wu Shuang is taken aback; she has never seen Hua Qingyi take someone so seriously. At this moment, she can’t help but reconsider the mischievous nature she observed the first time she met him.
"Mu Rongyun, if you truly know, just tell us." Wu Shuang instinctively shouts at Mu Rongyun; she’s unsure of her feelings, she just doesn’t want to see the two of them get hurt.
"Do you really care whether he lives or dies?" Over Hua Qingyi’s shoulder, Mu Rongyun’s pitch-black eyes scrutinize Wu Shuang, as though they’d penetrate her soul, making her uneasy.
"He’s my friend."
"Ha!" Mu Rongyun laughs. "You’d best prepare to collect his body early. The North District isn’t a cesspool you can wade through. Don’t assume what you pulled off in the Middle East can be accomplished here as well."
"So you know about the Middle East situation too. I’d hoped this matter wasn’t related to you." Saying this, Hua Qingyi naturally looks at Wu Shuang. From a man’s perspective, Mu Rongyun’s feelings for Wu Shuang are different, caught between affection and detachment—a conflict and hesitation, with men’s possessiveness clearly evident.
Suddenly, Wu Shuang approaches from behind, standing before Mu Rongyun. "Does Xiao Lin’s disappearance have anything to do with you? I want to hear the truth."
"I believe I’ve already answered you."
"Damn it!" At that moment, Hua Qingyi finally can’t hold back and launches an attack toward Mu Rongyun. He pushes Wu Shuang aside, knocking her to one side, then punches Mu Rongyun in the face.
From the sound of the wind, Mu Rongyun senses a chill. It’s not the metallic sensation from cold weapons, but the speed of the fist itself, creating a chill as it reaches a certain temperature—a strength not to be underestimated. He sheds his loose demeanor, no longer provoking Hua Qingyi’s assault, trusting that this man possesses unignorable strength.
His left hand reaches forward, meeting the direction of Hua Qingyi’s punch head-on. For such reckless strikes, Wu Shuang stands at the side with her hand over her mouth.
For her, she’s never truly watched their fighting. Even during multiple collaborations with Xiao Lin, she never personally experienced such fierce battles. But now, before her eyes, the two men quickly launch their next moves right after their initial clash.
Hua Qingyi is an attacking warrior; he seems not to know fatigue, nor the mental pressure of a missed strike. Once he’s engaged, he’s like a machine that won’t stop unless it’s powered off. Mu Rongyun, not daring to slack off, gradually adopts a defensive stance against Hua Qingyi’s reckless style.
"Is this all you’ve got?" Hua Qingyi taunts Mu Rongyun.
"Seeking death so eagerly? Let me fulfill your wish." With that, Mu Rongyun, for the first time, launches a frontal attack on Hua Qingyi. Instantly, the surrounding atmosphere shifts entirely, a kind of invisible pressure envelops Wu Shuang’s chest, making it difficult for her to breathe. She covers her heart with one hand, her eyes never leaving the two of them.
"Hmph! This is more like it." Hua Qingyi could more or less feel the aura released by Mu Rongyun. This was a strong opponent, not inferior to Xiao Lin in some respects, but the overpowering darkness overshadowed his own strength. Amidst the powerful force, a hand reached for Hua Qingyi’s face, aiming straight for his eyes. "A vicious move."
With a loud shout, Hua Qingyi raised both hands to block in front of his chest, deflecting the incoming hand upward, while he slipped under his own arms, delivering a kick to Mu Rongyun’s lower body, who seemed momentarily stunned.
Although Mu Rongyun was already aware of Hua Qingyi’s unconventional moves, he was still shocked by his bizarre techniques, as if his body embodied the martial arts of various prestigious clans and schools, merging into a style with no clear path.
Though surprised, Mu Rongyun didn’t make a wrong decision. As Hua Qingyi’s right leg attacked, his body bent, retracting his hand to grab for Hua Qingyi’s ankle, catching it precisely.
The captured Hua Qingyi wasn’t panicked; instead, he let out a strange smile. By the time Mu Rongyun realized he was tricked and wanted to release his grip, it was too late. Using the force from his ankle being held, Hua Qingyi leaped into the air, exploiting the opening left by Mu Rongyun who couldn’t maintain his grip, exposing himself to danger.
This was the moment Hua Qingyi was waiting for. As he ascended into the air, he spun around to break free from Mu Rongyun’s grasp, targeting his back with a strike.
There’s no way to evade this! Wu Shuang clearly saw that such an attack was impossible for Mu Rongyun to dodge. Yet, in reality, Mu Rongyun did evade it, using Hua Qingyi’s own attack to do so.
Landing back on the ground, Hua Qingyi adjusted his breathing. Having evaded, Mu Rongyun rolled twice on the ground and ended up half-squatting, propping himself with one hand, he looked up and let out a chuckle.
Wu Shuang couldn’t see how he did it; in the blink of an eye, he disappeared from his original spot. When he reappeared, he was only a few inches away, his face close up to Hua Qingyi, and his fingers piercing like knives into Hua Qingyi’s lower right abdomen.
A fractured pain emanated from the abdomen. Hua Qingyi grasped Mu Rongyun’s wrist with his right hand, forcing him to withdraw. Fortunately, it hadn’t pierced through, but his clothes were torn in several places. "If I wanted to kill you, Hua Qingyi, you’d have been bleeding just now."
"Heh, is that so?" Hua Qingyi was not one to concede, and Mu Rongyun’s words only made him more excited. With that, he swung a punch at him, without any fancy moves, direct and swift. As a return gesture, Mu Rongyun felt the power of the punch and was sent flying, landing on the ground with a crack at the corner of his mouth.
Hua Qingyi wouldn’t give him the slightest chance to catch his breath. He leapt towards Mu Rongyun to attack again, but suddenly a figure blurred his vision. He seemed to have brushed against something soft, and upon scrutiny, it was Wu Shuang. It was too late to withdraw his hand; his punch skimmed past her face.
"What are you doing?" Hua Qingyi shouted at the intruder who suddenly appeared. He had almost smashed her head just now.
"Is this fun for the two of you?" Wu Shuang stood in front of Mu Rongyun. Though she couldn’t see the strange expression on Mu Rongyun’s face, Hua Qingyi could, and he scoffed.
"Xiao Lin is likely connected to this guy, are you going to defend this bastard too?"
"I’m not." Hua Qingyi’s words were targeted, and Wu Shuang could tell.
"Then step aside."
"Fighting him is less important than finding Xiao Lin." Wu Shuang was unwilling to back down, and to Hua Qingyi, her words took on a different meaning.
"Move, I don’t want to hurt the innocent."
Wu Shuang wanted to say more, but someone pressed her shoulder. Mu Rongyun got up, giving Wu Shuang a meaningful look. "Step aside, don’t get in the way." Gently, he nudged Wu Shuang aside and faced Hua Qingyi. "Is yelling at a woman how your Hua family shows respect? Don’t make me look down on you, Hua Qingyi."
"Spare me your nonsense." Even without the issue with Xiao Lin, Hua Qingyi would have found time to meet this person alone, all the more so now.
It was unclear who launched the first attack, but the two were already entangled in combat, neither yielding nor holding back, fighting for their lives.
Wu Shuang anxiously watched from the side, wanting to intervene but not knowing how. As they moved, she moved with them, unwilling to see either of them get hurt. (To be continued.
