Chapter 121: Fierce Battle For Frostbane [4] — Louis VS Commander Kael’thas

"I honestly hoped you were already dead, but I entertained the thought of killing you myself if you ever dared return. And now look at you—strong, whole. I thought you were nothing but a crippled, talentless bastard. Was all our intelligence wrong this entire time, Prince Louis?"

Louis charged. His Aura surged and roared like a ferocious gray-and-golden dragon—half blazing light, half choking ash. "Why don’t you test it yourself?"

The battlefield trembled as the two Spiralwalkers collided. The surrounding ruins vanished in an instant, flattened by the shockwave of their impact. Though Louis towered at four meters in his current form while Kael’thas stood barely 1.70 meters, both radiated equal, terrifying power.

Louis drove his massive fists forward. "I see now you’re no ordinary Spiralwalker, Spiritian!"

Kael’thas laughed as he avoided all attacks, moving at lightning speed. Then he swung his bare hands forward. Black sigils manifested into countless black chains covering Louis’s entire body. "Oh? Did you see through me?"

Louis grabbed the black chains and used them to pull Kael’thas close. He punched his face several times, surprising him as he vomited blood and lost several teeth. "Gaaaaaack?!"

"Did you think I would play fair, you disgusting freak?!" Louis roared. He kicked the man’s head down, cracking the ground beneath them.

In that moment.

RUMBLE!

From Kael’thas’ body, an enormous black armored knight manifested out of spiritual energy and shadows. It attacked Louis with a giant black sword. Louis swiftly intercepted it with his own sword, but the attack power was immense, pushing him several meters back. He roared, thrusting Gungnir and piercing the creature’s body—only for it to deal no damage. The creature seemed completely intangible. "A Spirit!"

Kael’thas rose slowly and laughed, wiping blood from his mouth as he looked directly into Louis’s eyes. "Well, I was made using the DNA of Spiritians, so yes. I have a Spirit Orb!"

The half-demon man laughed. He grasped his chest as Spiritual Energy manifested two more Spiritual Entities: a giant phoenix-like beast made of black flames and shadows, and a serpent made of black chains with glowing red eyes.

"Aside from being a Spiralwalker... I am a Spirit Master!" Kael’thas laughed. "And all of this is the power of human bioengineering! I am my creator’s magnum opus!"

Louis stepped forward. His sword gleamed with darkness, his spear with light. He combined them both, unleashing an eclipsing attack using the last remaining seconds of power within the Rune of Slaughter. Finally, Louis expanded his Fantasy Domain around himself, using his own Delusions to fuel his technique—reaching a level he wasn’t supposed to achieve, though only through his own Domain and then exerting it upon the world.

"Holy Dragon Lance Style."

"Third Form – Heavenly Dragon Ascent!"

"Dragon King’s Divine Blade Art."

"First Form – Ascending Heavens!"

"...?!"

Kael’thas gasped. He quickly stepped away from Louis’s range—only for a second figure to enter the battle. A blue-skinned elven warrioress swung her sword, knocking him back into position as Louis’s attack intercepted.

"W-Wha...! You damn aliens—"

TRUUUM!

Before he could speak another word, a combined blast of two of Louis’s strongest techniques erupted. All of his power concentrated on a single hit, boosted even further by the Rune of Slaughter.

BOOOMMM!!!

"Uuaaaaahhhhhh!"

Kael’thas screamed in agony. He covered himself with spirit barriers and reinforced his body to his limits. His Spirits wrapped around him to protect him from the damage.

But even then, the attack was so massive it quickly decimated half of the noble district while destroying the walls surrounding the castle’s west area.

"Haaa... Haaa... Haaa..." Louis gasped for air and smiled at her. "Thank you for the save, Tisha."

Tisha smiled back. "I was just repaying a favor, my lord. However, the cockroach is not done for yet!"

Louis’s eyes narrowed. Amidst a giant crater produced by his all-out attack, Kael’thas emerged, slowly walking forward. He seemed weakened and wounded, clutching one arm while clenching his teeth in anger. "Y-you disgusting aliens...! How dare you...! My beautiful face...! It’s all ruined now...!"

He was bleeding. Half his hair had been burned, leaving half his head completely bald. One horn had cracked, and one arm was completely charred. However, he survived. His three Spirits had merged into a powerful armor covering his body.

"You will pay for this!"

RUMBLE!

The ground beneath him shattered as black flames covered his charred arm, slowly healing it. The burnt skin peeled away.

"Fine, let’s do it. I’ve got no more tricks."

Louis leaped forward. Using his skeletal wings, he flew high, turning into a blur of gray and golden light. He clashed against Kael’thas in the skies. Their fists collided, generating an enormous shockwave. Black and golden lightning surged everywhere.

"Heh."

Kael’thas smiled as Louis suddenly felt something within him twisting and... reversing.

"Wha...?!"

Louis vomited blood. He realized the damage he had inflicted on Kael’thas was reversed and returned to him. His eyes narrowed. He quickly stepped back and conjured magic instead. Icicles and void bullets rained over Kael’thas, but they inflicted no damage at all—they exploded over his armor and scattered into nothing.

"I see how it is," Louis said. He knew the abilities of Spirals well thanks to William’s knowledge. "Spiral of Sadism, is it?"

"...Oh?" Kael’thas smiled as he realized Louis knew what his Spiral was. "Well... jackpot! How did you know so quickly?"

"It’s easy to guess. It fits your personality," Louis said plainly. "And also their ability is annoying. Blood Feast, is it? Returns 30% of all physical contact damage—increases with each Tier. Up to 100%, then it begins surpassing that. Only non-contact moves hit you."

"Hah, how boring. So you’ve got it all figured out, huh!" Kael’thas laughed. He reached Louis and swung his fists. Blood energy gathered around them as he harnessed the power Louis had used against him. He punched the prince down and slammed him into the ground.

BOOOM!

"Nngh!"

Louis quickly stood back up. He thrust Gungnir and swung his sword, but Kael’thas laughed, swiftly avoiding the attacks before black chains surged, restraining Louis. Then a giant phoenix made of flames roared, firing hundreds of black fireballs at him.

"Good night, Prince Louis!"

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
