Spoiled by the CEO after amnesia!-Chapter 67: The Mysterious Woman
"Isn’t that so?" Charlie saw the girl’s surprise in the rearview mirror, chuckled, and thought to himself that the girl was really naive. "The boss personally taking you on a business trip, meeting with important clients, isn’t it all to craft an opportunity for you, to promote you to headquarters soon, and give you a higher position! You should know, there aren’t many in the entire group who get to travel with the boss. If I could accompany the boss on a trip abroad to meet a client, I’d wake up smiling even from my dreams!"
Was that really the case?
Jiayi was dumbfounded. He had said before that he didn’t care who she was or what her status was in the past, but her future would be shaped by him.
So, was this him fulfilling that promise?
Meanwhile, the car had already left the city center and arrived at the destination.
It was different from the typical company Jiayi had imagined.
The partner’s company wasn’t located in an office building or skyscraper, but in a suburban area far from the center of the city, resembling an industrial park like those in her homeland, infused with a potent Southeast Asian ambiance—it was a large vineyard.
The vineyard’s wooden gate was engraved with the letters "Banan," likely the name of the vineyard.
Even before stepping out of the car, Jiayi could smell the strong sweet and sour scent of grapes wafting over.
Inside the vineyard, a lush expanse of grapevines stretched before her, with many gardeners and workers moving among the vines, pruning, harvesting, or taking the fruit for juicing and winemaking.
"Miss Luo, the owner of Banan Winery is European, because Suwang Island’s grape raw materials are world-famous, thus the winery is set up in our country. There, that vineyard is it. Our group plans to open several large hotels both domestically and internationally, so the boss personally made the trip to check the quality of the wine before introducing it to our hotels," Charlie explained while walking alongside.
Jiayi looked up and saw a black sedan already parked at the entrance of the vineyard.
Through the car window, she glimpsed the familiar, regal, and slender silhouette of a man.
Jiayi got out of the car.
When Huo Zhenyang saw Jiayi arriving on time, chauffeured by Charlie, he couldn’t help a flicker of emotion in his eyes.
Today, Jiayi was dressed in an OL suit, a white shirt, and a tight black skirt, which highlighted the advantages of her figure: her bust was full, and her waist seemed even more slender and graceful.
Though it was not revealing, it was still enough to provoke imaginative thoughts.
She appeared in good color, had probably recovered her spirits after some sleep.
The light makeup made her skin look so delicate that it seemed it could be broken by a blow, flushed with a rosy hue, like creamy jade, tugging at one’s heartstrings.
Seeing his gaze on her, Jiayi felt her cheeks grow warm under the scrutiny of the man, and couldn’t help but lower her head to check her attire—did he disapprove of what she was wearing? After all, it was her first time dressing like this.
Huo Zhenyang withdrew his gaze: "Let’s go."
Jiayi stuck out her tongue and, breathing a sigh of relief, followed him toward the winery.
At the entrance, the vineyard’s owner was waiting, an elder with a considerable age, wearing traditional Southeast Asian clothing to welcome esteemed guests. His hair was completely silver, his appearance dignified yet kindly. He was not only the heir to a winemaking family legacy on Suwang Island but also the head of Banan Vineyard, locally known as Zhalun, or ’Uncle Lun’ as people commonly called him.
"Mr. Huo has arrived," Uncle Lun greeted with a smile, his eyes filled with admiration and respect as he looked at the young, impressive, and distinguished big client before him. Every move the young man made projected the aura of someone with broad vision and great insights, effortlessly commanding respect.
Huo Zhenyang extended his hand with a cool air: "It’s been a long time, Uncle Lun."
The two exchanged a few pleasantries, and then Uncle Lun glanced at the young woman behind Huo Zhenyang, hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to address her.
Could it be an assistant who’s come on business with Boss Huo? 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Yet, she looks a bit young.
Huo Zhenyang saw what he was thinking and said indifferently, "This is my secretary, Ms. Luo. She has come with me to Suwang Island this time."
So she really was a secretary. Uncle Lun extended his hand, "Hello, Miss Luo, welcome to Banan Vineyard."
Jiayi shook hands with Uncle Lun and smiled, "Hello, Uncle Lun."
After introducing themselves, Uncle Lun and a few employees of the vineyard led them into the winery estate.
Following Huo Zhenyang, Jiayi first inspected the grapevines planted outside the estate, and then, led by Uncle Lun, they visited the wine cellar.
Uncle Lun poured two glasses of wine and handed them to Boss Huo and Miss Luo, "This is our vineyard’s newly brewed wine. If the cooperation goes well, we will send the first batch to G City, to your group’s hotels. Please, have a taste."
Huo Zhenyang took the long-stemmed glass and elegantly swirled it gently to let the aroma of the wine disperse within the glass before taking a sip with his lips barely moving, "Not bad, the red wine from Banan Vineyard is indeed the best."
Seeing Boss Huo’s satisfaction, Uncle Lun knew the deal was sealed, and his face brightened up with delight.
Being well aware of her own limits with alcohol and fearing to embarrass herself like the previous times, Jiayi didn’t drink but merely held the wineglass in her hand.
In high spirits, Uncle Lun looked at her and said with a laugh, "Miss Luo, why don’t you give it a try? Our Banan red wine is exported to major continents and is quite famous."
As the client had put it such way, it would be rather impolite not to drink, so she had no choice but to lift her glass.
Just as she was about to bring the glass to her lips, the wineglass she was holding was swiftly taken from her grasp.
Huo Zhenyang took her glass, smiled breezily, and lifted it, "She doesn’t drink. I’ll drink this one with Uncle Lun."
Uncle Lun was taken aback.
He had only ever heard of secretaries covering for their bosses when it came to drinking, never of a boss drinking on behalf of a secretary.
However, Uncle Lun was very accommodating, and since Boss Huo had spoken, he no longer pressed Jiayi, but raised his glass and drank it down with Huo Zhenyang.
Amidst the faint fragrance of the wine, they concluded the business of this visit.
Before noon, Huo Zhenyang and the Banan Vineyard signed a two-year wine supply agreement.
After the contract was signed, Uncle Lun said with a smile, "I’ve prepared a luncheon for Boss Huo in the restaurant. Just now, I received a call that our vineyard’s European head office, having learned of Boss Huo’s personal visit, specially dispatched a management member to Suwang Island. They have just landed and will be here soon. This manager will be joining Boss Huo for the meal."
Huo Zhenyang nodded and went to the restaurant with Jiayi.
The VIP restaurant, reserved for entertaining the European executives or major clients, had already arranged a Western-style lunch accompanied by wine.
The group had just settled at the dining table when the crisp sound of high heels echoed at the entrance.
Uncle Lun stood up and said to Huo Zhenyang with a smile, "Boss Huo, our head office’s manager has arrived."
At the restaurant entrance, as the footsteps approached, the slender silhouette of a young woman appeared in everyone’s sight.
She was a young lady who looked to be at most twenty-four or twenty-five years old, with long black hair cascading behind her shoulders, fair skin, and an extremely beautiful and refined appearance, dressed in a sky-blue suit. She exuded an extraordinary and elegant nobility.
