"Who did this shabby work?" the doctor asked rhetorically. "I mean, she succeeded in making him sleep but the process was slow, so it's messing with the boy's consciousness. I'm sorry he'll be out for quite a while. Maybe the whole of today.

"These annoying low-budget healers, always eager to show themselves only for them to end up with a disaster such as this. See, he's not even fully asleep. That's why nobody can be as good as me. I am the best healer both on Earth and on Luxus. A-ha, I'm not like them.

Rosa stood akimbo, eyes staring daggers as she listened to the beautiful but lousy woman explain the process like she was a nurse-in-training. At last she stopped explaining and removed her palm from Leo's forehead.

"Okay, since you said he'll be out for the best hours of today, I'll stay with him throughout then," Rosa said.

"No you can't. I don't allow hale and hearty students in my company. You have to be hurt to be near me. Or do you want to be unconscious as well? I can help you with that. Then, you can communicate with your slumbering boyfriend in your subconscious states. Romantic, right?"

"Please, Mrs. auburn. Let me stay," Rosa pleaded like a silly child.

"By auburn, are you referring to the colour of my hair? That's a silly joke, now you really can't stay. Out, now! Don't worry, I'll be quick to send your boyfriend packing too as soon as he wakes up."

Just then, two female students busted into the room. They stopped before Rosa, apparently worried. They are her two 'friends'.

"Rosa, what are you doing?" the girl Leo taunted as wide-mouthed asked with a concerned look. "Why are you here with this loser?

"Please tell us, why are you giving him all this attention?" the other girl asked too. "You can tell us, we're your friends. Are you planning something really bad for him. If so, there are other ways to go about that without engaging him like this. Don't worry, we'll help you punish him."

"We have a few plans already. You can lure him to a deserted corner while we do the rest. We promise we'll make him suffer for whatever he did."

"I'll have him fainting again after stunning him repeatedly. You can turn him upside down with your quirk while we teach him life's lessons. We really can."

"You don't have to be this close to him to carry out your revenge. You didn't have to help him in Alpha's class like that. Others will get the wrong impression.

"Yes, remember the rank differences? The system doesn't really allow us mingle with lesser beings like him. Can't you see, he's so weak he can't stay strong even after getting mutated on Luxus planet."

Rosa said nothing as her two friends went on and on, trying to make her see some reason that was absolutely out of her cone of vision. There was no angle she could look at it from that will make it sensible to her. Why is a rubbish system dictating her life to her? Why can't she choose what she wants out of life? What was the benefit of having these powers if she can't make a choice? It just doesn't make any sense to her.

Her friends' droning talks was getting on her nerves but she was too exhausted to get angry again, so she just left them to say whatever they wanted.

A few shuffling of feet behind her reminded her that she was meant to go out of the room a while ago. The auburn-haired healer screamed at the three of them.

"One more second with you three there, and I'll grab a jar of the most concentrated acid to mangle your tiny legs. Be sure I'll heal you back but not until it's eaten you up nearly to your throat!"

The three girls immediately scampered out of the hospital wing.

"...And you Miss Brown, my name is not Mrs. Auburn, you fool. It is Miss Charlotte. Char-lotte, okay?!" the nurse screamed the more at their retreating figures.

"Ooh, I lost my cool again. I hate students, oh my space. Everybody thinks I'm the problem. But they are the problem, and that's the problem."

'Miss Charlotte' of the hospital wing is really a handful even for herself.

The clock ticks by and the sun was about setting. Miss Charlotte hummed as she cleared a space she previously worked on. The sole of her shoes tapped as she passed by Leo's cubicle.

Leo woke up with a jolt. His head has stopped ringing and he was feeling very okay. For a second, he forgot what actually brought him here. Tracing back his memory from when he was last conscious, he remembered what happen during Alpha's history class.

"Oh no." he lamented.

He remembered he was half conscious as he floated in the air, thanks to Rosa. He remembered the healer girl and he knew she had done a shabby work in calming him. So, he still had an idea what was going on around him even though he appeared to be asleep.

"I really should not watch any of those videos again. I still haven't gotten over what happened 78 years ago."

"And this is why I must get stronger. I can't keep living with this guilt, knowing I'm doing nothing to improve myself so I can help the planet later."

"I really have to discover this hidden quirk that saved my life back then."

"But how?"

Activating his mind communication quirk, he reached out to Loca on planet Luxus. The familiar "ding" sound came in his head but Loca did not respond. This is the second time since he got back to Earth.

"Is Loca really avoiding me? Am I really alone now?"

"I guess I am."

He dragged himself from the bed and brushed the curtain aside to get out of the cubicle. He came face to face with Miss Charlotte.

"You're finally awake. How many times have we met now, boy? Two times in two days. Yesterday it was your girlfriend that was unconscious. Today it was you. Are you two knocking each other out just to see the famous healer, Miss Charlotte? Do you really want to be my friend? Oh, I'm flattered. I wanted to consider having you two as my friends, BUT NO! NO CAN DO. NOW GET YOUR FILTHY ASS OUT OF MY WING AND NEVER LET ME SEE YOU AGAIN! LOOK AT YOU STALKING ME AROUND LIKE I'M YOUR MOTHER WHO FORGOT TO FEED YOU." And like a switch, she lowered her voice again. "Look at you, getting knocked out on your second day of school. You even have a bruise on your neck that appeared to be from yesterday which I believe was inflicted on you by someone you provoked immediately after leaving this wing with your girlfriend. How silly can you be for everybody to target you?"

Leo was shocked at this unexpected outburst. He had no idea why the woman was so angry at him if she was just doing the job they assigned her. "Erm, the famous Miss Charlotte. Why are you mad at me? I wasn't knocked out, I only fainted from some kind of shock."

"Oh, he only fainted from some kind of shock. THAT MAKES IT EVEN WORSE! Now get out. And tell your girlfriend to watch her back because I'll forever hunt her for calling me Mrs. Auburn."

Leo laughed silly as he walked out. "That's a nice name though," he said.

He heard the furious yell of the woman as he closed the door behind him.

"She's really crazy. It must be because of her loneliness," Leo thought.

He was going to return to his dorm since today's wasted again. He couldn't see Mr. Al like he promised so he can change his room. "Another night with Jade next door. I think tonight will be scarier judging from what happened today with his sister."

He passed by a group of students who pointed at him and giggled openly. "Man passed out to escape punishment," he heard one of the boys say. The rest added more taunts but they didn't meet a bad side of him. Even if it did, there was really nothing he could do against four big boys even if they were all E- or F-ranked.

After crossing the open space to the dorm, he entered into the main dorm building. The common room was deserted. From afar, he sighted three figures coming in his direction. He needed nobody to tell him who they were. He could see a red hair, a silver hair and a black hair. He didn't know who the black-haired boy is, but he wasn't certain about the first two.

"Hi, Leo," Jade greeted him with a smile at first. But suddenly his expression changed to a furious one. "Seize him," he commanded.
