Chapter 1204: Tranquil Star Ruins (I)

Director General Zhao gave a long exhale. He was officially seventh level Sun and Moon!

Wang Ye grunted not too far away, reverberating his blood qi and opening dao meridians. He’d set foot into seventh level Sun and Moon as well!

Li Hao raised an eyebrow. Director General Wang had been an Immortal before, which made him mid Sun and Moon. He made significant progress, as opposed to declining after switching to a new dao. It’d take a very short period of time for him to enter seventh level Sun and Moon!

Seventh level Sun and Moon was stronger than even a few peak Immortals.

Li Hao grew slightly emotional at the thought. Director General Wang had been the first New Martial powerhouse to switch to the new dao. It looked like some fortune had accompanied his decision.

The young man set these developments aside and looked at the weapons that hovered in front of him. There were nine of them, one for each of the nine youngsters from various imperial families. They might all be youngsters, no?

Jiang Yingli and her fellow students had pledged themselves to the new age and made a choice in the battle at Boundless. They’d paid a corresponding price of once more falling silent in order to suppress the Boundless city lord seal.

Li Hao’s side was hard pressed to withstand the seal after Stellaris self-detonated. Ultimately, the nine imperial descendants forced the seal to be quiet and negated the supreme’s contingency plan.

Li Hao had said that he would resurrect them. One good turn deserved another, he was not an ungrateful soul. Since these people had chosen the new era and Li Hao, he would not leave them by the wayside when the chance came to help them.

Empty bodies appeared with a wave of his hand—fine specimens far from the usual ones created. He’d crafted them from the blood qi of Saints and even Empyrean Kings. It was time to purify the energy and utilize a large sum of Water of Life to finish the bodies...

After a while of forging, Li Hao looked at Jiang Yingli’s body and suddenly wanted to laugh. He remembered when the girl said he was peeping at her... And how another student had said that her original form was fatter than her new body, that she’d lowballed some measurements.

In that case, should he help her recover her original form instead?

That was a question to think deeply on.

But upon further thought, if he made her fatter, would she pop with anger once she was alive again?

Li Hao laughed to himself and decided to refashion her in last time’s image. Since she didn’t want to be fatter, it was better to satisfy her wish.

Nine bodies soon revolved around him—the young man had invested more effort this time. He’d only shaped thirty-six dao meridians in the bodies the first time due to a shortage of resources. There’d been just one half step Empyrean King body to work with; he only used part of it and not all.

There was even an Empyrean King to use this time, so he didn’t lack for these kinds of resources.

He carefully carved and whittled away at the bodies, forming one dao meridian at a time. He made some additional adjustments so that it would be easier to open their meridians in this body.

These students’ mental strength still existed, they were just asleep. It wouldn’t be hard to combine them with a physical body. However, Li Hao was’t able to fully showcase all of the dao meridians in the human body. He wasn’t even able to do that for himself yet.

The students would run into some trouble trying to open new dao meridians after they opened all of the pre-existing ones. There was nothing that Li Hao could do about that. What developed after that was up to their personal fortunes.

A newly created body was not a naturally formed one, after all. Their potential would be less than modern humans, but how many would truly be able to cultivate to those heights?

Once these students ascended that peak, they would naturally be able to resolve their issues.

With those thoughts in mind, Li Hao continued shaping dao meridians. This time, he planned on forming 360 dao meridians for the students. If they opened all of the meridians, that would make them a half step emperor. It was difficult to say if they could reach that step at all.

The young man constantly drew on large quantities of energy. Little dragons manifested and circled around the weapons; they darted into the bodies after a while.

An indeterminate period of time later, there were nine sparkling bodies rotating in front of Li Hao. He looked at them for a few moments before putting clothes on them. Looking at them even further would damage his eyes.

When he thought of how these bodies originated from the energy of desolate beasts and Zheng Hongyuan... he immediately lost the ability to regard them in any inappropriate light. No matter how good they looked and how perfectly they were formed, it didn’t negate the fact that they were once a quivering mass of flesh and blood.

Nine bodies circled Li Hao. All he needed to do now was to awaken their mental strength. However, they’d all sunk into deep slumber. It would be more troublesome than usual to wake them.

The young man was prepared. He wasn’t going to directly prod them awake, but move their bodies into the Hao Cosmos instead.

Nine bodies appeared in nine different sectors. A supernatural character materialized over Li Hao’s head—the dao character!

The dao character was accompanied by a grand trembling. Dao notes sank into the bodies and a few dim, weak stars floated up over the river of stars.

These were the dao stars that they’d previously left behind; the stars had become muted when their wielders fell asleep. Now as the dao note quivered, faint sparkles shimmered over the stars. A thin line stretched out to connect each person to their dao star.

Li Hao watched, immensely satisfied. He now understood and grasped a lot more of these matters. If in the past, he might only have the option of forcing them awake. That would greatly damage their mental strength and require a lot of time for recovery.

Using the ‘dao’ character to communicate with their dao stars meant a natural revitalization. Although the students were very weak, it wouldn’t harm their foundations.

Fingers twitched and eyeballs started to move. Their feeble mental strength was beginning to stir.

Li Hao continuously shook the dao character, sending surges of dao strength rippling out of the character. They rushed into the dao stars. Color began to drain from the young man’s face as the action continued. The emanation of dao power damaged his being, he just didn’t care much about that.

These nine Evenround Martial students were descendants of exalted emperors and had chosen to take a stand on his side at Boundless. As a martial master of the martial world, Li Hao knew that an appropriate outpouring of gratitude was in order.

One star in particular sparkled brightly after a while; one of the bodies began trembling. The mental strength sleeping in the weapon was returning to consciousness. Its eyelids trembled as one of the nine slowly opened their eyes.

A broad expanse of stars came into view!

“Is this the world we go to after we die?” murmured the person. There weren’t that many stars in Silver Moon world, so their first thought upon seeing so many stars was that they weren’t in Silver Moon anymore.

Where am I?

Don’t we completely disappear when we die? Or vanish in the darkness?

“Is the world of death this beautiful?” came Li Hao’s cheerful voice. “It’s been quite a day of happy tidings. Seeing you awake again fulfills one of my heart’s desires.”

Jiang Yingli quickly whipped her head around, froze for a moment, then touched her cheeks, her body, and her chest...

Li Hao’s smile turned stiff. Is that the first thing you care about after resurrecting?

“I’m... alive again?” Jiang Yingli gasped with delight.

“You weren’t dead in the first place,” the young man said calmly. “Your mental strength was just weakened and you slipped into a deep slumber. You guys definitely had strong mental strength back in the day to survive all that.”

“Hahaha, I’m alive again!” Jiang Yingli didn’t care about any of that. She laughed with wild abandon. She was alive again!

It’d been such a fight to reawaken after one hundred thousand years asleep that she’d despaired at going under. Who would’ve thought that she’d be alive once more?

“How many years has it been?” she quickly asked.

“About a month.”

“What?”

“About a month!”

“No way!” She’d been asleep for such a short period of time?

Jiang Yingli blinked. The rest of her fellow students slowly opened their eyes, likewise surprised by the conversation. That short? They thought that several years at a minimum would have to pass.

Of course, they didn’t think that that much time had passed either. If it’d been too long, the likelihood wasn’t high that they’d ever be revived. But, it was just, a month was too short! No wonder it felt like they’d only been asleep for a split second.

The group looked at each other—they didn’t react the same way as Jiang Yingli did. They investigated each other’s bodies and extended their senses to each other. The findings were surprising—their bodies were much stronger than before and they had many more dao meridians.

Their current bodies... seemed to rival their original bodies!

Had they profited from disaster? But where were they, exactly?

“This is the Hao Cosmos, the dao universe!”

Eyebrows shot up and the students looked around them. They saw the expanse of stars and the dao star that belonged to them. There was a certain perception that connected them to the celestial body. Strange expressions appeared on their faces. So this was the dao universe?

“This place is suited for opening dao meridians,” Li Hao said. “You’ve just awakened and have sufficient energy within your bodies to cultivate with. Your bodies were made from the flesh and blood of an Empyrean King, so they can endure a lot. Don’t worry about your physical body not holding up!”

The group sat down cross-legged without further word and began cultivating.

Celestial bodies breathed in and out, taking in tendrils of dao power. The dao character also continued to emanate dao strength. When Jiang Yingli began cultivating, she cast a glance at Li Hao and suddenly said, “You should withdraw your supernatural character...”

“Shut up and cultivate!” Li Hao answered calmly. Jiang Yingli grumbled inaudibly to herself.

I was being nice and looking out for you, y’know!

The rest of the students didn’t say anything and bent their minds to cultivation. Being newly forged, their dao meridians were easy to open. Although their mental strength was a bit weak, it was rapidly recovering. Abundant dao power could be absorbed from the surroundings and none of them were weak to begin with. After last time’s experience in clearing acupoints, the students popped open acupoints in quick succession.

It wasn’t long until they recovered to a Mountain and Sea cultivation level.

As the nine cultivated, they felt that the process was much easier than before. Acupoints were cleared at an increasing rate.

After a while, they stopped cultivating as the energy within their bodies had been completely digested. Li Hao also retracted his dao character.

225 acupoints had been opened within their bodies, making them peak Mountain and Sea. Any more would put them into Sun and Moon.
