Jeremy entered the store near the city gate. Before entering the wilderness, he was going to buy necessary items.

He bought a mask to cover his face. Then he bought a pair of combat uniforms. Next, he began to buy medicine, a poison antidote, and a few other things.

He then walked out, purchasing the items a few minutes later. Then he immediately joined the queue to enter the wilderness.

His gaze wandered around. He spotted many Tier-3 Beast Tamers as well. The guards were allowing the people to enter the wilderness one after another.

Soon, his turn came. He showed his Red Moon Chamber ID. The guard saw the ID and verified it. Then the guard allowed him to leave.

Jeremy walked through the gate and entered the wilderness. He saw other Beast Tamers going in different directions.

He randomly chose a path before going deeper into the wilderness. His eyesight and senses were stronger than others.

Whether it was a corrupted beast or a beast tamer, he would know if anyone approached him. Right now, his primary object was to find a place to change into his uniform.

He soon found a naturally formed cave. It was a small cave with enough space inside. He walked inside and scanned the cave.

Then he began to change his clothes to the combat uniform. After doing that, he wore a mask to cover his face.

Jeremy then began to read the mission description again. The mission description was clear. After reading it again, he realized some of the herbs were common herbs.

They could be found randomly because they were common ingredients. So, he left the cave and began to look for the common herbs.

Time passed.

It didn’t take long for him to find the common herbs in this area. The herbs were growing outside the naturally formed cave. He picked them in the mentioned quantities before storing them inside the ring. He then left the other plants alone.

The other plants in the mission description were located in a deeper place. Jeremy then decided to go deeper. But he marked the route along the way. In case of emergency, he needed to get back to the cave.

Rustle!

Not long after, he came across wild boars. They were all Tier-2 to Tier-3 in strength. He didn’t target them and wasted time.

He continued to look for the plants. In order to complete the mission faster, he used the power of his eyesight.

As his gaze swept over the surrounding plants, his eyes captured every minute detail. His eyes scanned the open ground nearby.

The big trees and dense vegetation covered other areas. He found different plants and flowers on the ground, including plants with different shapes and sizes.

He found that none of these plants matched the ones described in the mission description. So, he left the area and continued to survey the other land. At the same time, his senses were alert.

If something like wild boars were to appear all of a sudden, his senses would alert him. He had done a joint mission previously.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t claim credits for that. But this was his first official mission. He didn’t want to fail.

Fortunately, he had already collected some common plants. He had to find a few more rare plants. Only then could he go back confidently.

1 hour later,

He collected a rare plant growing near a small cliff. He realized that these plants didn’t have grades. So, no other beasts would live near the plants. By doing this mission, one could become familiar with the wilderness.

He didn’t leave the cliff because he found that the cliff area was filled with dense green vegetation. He could find more plants here. Everyone else was looking for corrupted beasts to fight and gain experience. He was doing plant gathering.

He then moved towards the base. He saw the ground was filled with wild grasses, ferns, and bushes. His sharp eyes scanned the whole place. His gaze zoomed into the flowering plants. None of the flowering plants matched the mission description.

Just as he was about to leave the place, his eyes caught a long vine. The long vine’s surface was covered in spikes. But his eyes never left the vines. His gaze deepened, and he saw small flowers, the small flowers mentioned in the mission description.

Swoosh!

He shifted his body and moved towards the long vine. The long vine had enveloped the whole cliff. Just as he got closer to that long vine, his senses alerted him of danger. The danger was a minute threat.

His gaze then left the small flowers and saw the long spiked vines. His eyes gleamed with a twinkle. He didn’t expect the long vine to be a plant-type corrupted beast.

Fortunately, it was a lower-order beast. He didn’t have to do anything. He then quickly approached the vine and collected the small flowers. From beginning to end, the vine beast didn’t react. He also didn’t plan on disturbing it.

After collecting the small flowers, he left the spot. Then he continued his journey. He had been traveling in a straight direction so that he could remember the places and routes.

If he didn’t find anything further on this path, he planned to change direction then.

He knew that the area beyond the core area was unexplored. He was careful not to go too deep.

Boom!

Just as he was going through the forest and thinking about the plan, his senses alerted him of danger. The overgrown bushes and big trees covered his vision. But he used his eye ability the next moment.

The X-ray-like vision saw through the area beyond the trees and dense bushes. He saw a corrupted beast lying on the ground, waiting to ambush him.

Jeremy’s mouth curved into an arc. He was wondering why there were no corrupted beasts earlier. Now he realized that he had stepped into the territory of the four-legged hyena hybrid beasts.
