The hybrid hyena beasts had spotted him. Now they were lying on the ground, ready to ambush.

The beasts were between Tier-3 and Tier-4; there were no Tier-5 beasts among the group. He thought it was a good opportunity to test his combat skills.

He decided not to use his starlight power, as a simple blade move would be enough.

He intended to target the Tier-4 beasts because it was easy to kill the Tier-3 beasts with the blade. After figuring out his plan, he strode forward with the blade in his hand.

As Jeremy Night stepped into their range, the beasts lying on the ground leaped at him.

They were the height of an adult human and were nightmares for lower-tier beast tamers. Jeremy’s vision covered the surroundings. With his perception, he spotted four beasts attacking him from all sides.

All of them were Tier-3 beasts. The Tier-4 beasts weren’t ready to make a move yet.

Jeremy’s mind was calm. To his eyes, their movements were slow. He immediately calculated their trajectory before moving his body to avoid the attacks.

All four Tier-3 beasts were injured and unable to move immediately. Jeremy then set his gaze on the Tier-4 beasts.

In a flash, the massive body of a beast appeared in front of him. He retreated. From the side, a second beast tried to bite him. He sidestepped to avoid the jaws before slashing downward.

The katana blade cut through the back of the beast, though it didn’t go deep.

Jeremy realized this and immediately withdrew the blade before striking the next beast. As time went by, his blade swept across their bodies one by one, leaving behind terrible cuts.

Jeremy didn’t use his eye ability either. Otherwise, he would have found their blood vessels and severed them instantly.

Right now, he wanted to test his reaction time and improve his footwork.

More and more cuts appeared on the Tier-4 beasts. Their bodies were bloodied, yet the hyenas were so bloodthirsty they forgot about their wounds.

The beasts let out unwilling roars before falling to the ground. Jeremy saw that the cut was not deep enough to decapitate them, but he knew the beasts would bleed to death. He left the place.

Twenty minutes later, he changed direction and arrived at a fresh area.

He began surveying the surroundings using his eye power. His vision zoomed in, allowing him to clearly observe the plants in the area.

Meanwhile, 500 meters away from that spot, people wearing dark clothes were moving along the path. These people were none other than criminals from an organization called the Darkshade Tree Gate.

Their hideout was located at the edge of the unexplored area.
