Chapter 725: The Sleeping Queen

Gina sat up with a miserable sigh, and Stella smiled as she patted Gina on the back and told her to be strong.

"I’m sure the prince misses you just as much as you miss him. It’s only three more days until you can go to him again, so try to be strong until then."

Gina turned and smiled at Stella, and she suddenly stood up energetically and grabbed Stella’s hand while telling her to come along so they could bathe together!

"W-What? Your highness, I’m still in the middle of cleaning!"

"Mah, forget about all that! I’m going to be alone in that garden for the next twelve hours, so keep me company for now. I need someone to talk to. I’ll tell you all the embarrassing stories from when Jason and I were little! Hehehe~"

Gina chuckled devilishly as she dragged Stella into the bathroom, and Stella just smiled as she followed after Gina. Stella knew that Gina was just trying to fill the time before she could meet Jason again, so Stella didn’t mind keeping Gina company.

Later that morning, Gina was walking towards the castle gates in her royal attire, and there was an air of freshness around her after her bath with Stella. Gina’s long hair had grown all the way down to her thighs, so it almost looked like a river of red flowing behind her, and even though she wasn’t wearing any jewelry or makeup, her beauty still shone under the morning sun! The elven men and women were known to be some of the best-looking creatures in existence. The female elves had perfect figures and faces that could rival any model on earth, but even in front of these otherworldly beings, Gina still didn’t lose out in attractiveness, and she managed to turn heads as she walked through the castle grounds.

But just as Gina was about to reach the gates, her eyes drifted towards a tower in the distance. It was the same tower that Gina had asked Farlow about a long time ago, and Gina remembered Farlow’s expression changing back then as he told her that it wasn’t important. But for some reason, Gina couldn’t kill her curiosity about what was in that tower! It looked like something out of a fairytale from earth, and as a woman who had once enjoyed reading multiple fairytales when she was little, Gina couldn’t contain the curiosity that flooded her heart at that moment. Gina looked around to make sure that there were no guards watching her, and once she was sure that no one was there, she let out a small stream of mana that allowed her to float off the ground as she flew towards the tower! As Gina approached, she passed many trees and shrubs in her way, and once she was only a few hundred meters away from the tower, Gina had to quickly hide behind one of the trees when she heard some voices coming from in front of her. Gina peeked out childishly to see what was there, and she hummed when she saw multiple guards sitting around at the entrance of the tower. Gina found it strange that they didn’t look tense or alert, and she wondered if they were really not protecting something important. But Gina didn’t let that stop her as she activated her Sage abilities and allowed her senses to flow with the wind around her.

As a sage, Gina’s abilities were completely invisible to all types of magic sensors, so even when Gina was using the wind to scan the area close to the guards, they couldn’t sense anything wrong at all. Gina scanned the entire tower with her eyes closed, and as she travelled higher, she eventually grinned as she felt the wind flowing through a window behind the tower! Gina floated away from the guards’ line of sight, and she quickly began to fly up to the window. The tower was more than three hundred meters tall, and it took Gina a few seconds to reach the top without alerting anyone on the ground to her presence. Gina eventually reached the window, and she grabbed the window ledge and peered through the opening to see what was on the other side.

"Hello, love. It’s been a while."

Gina’s eyes widened when she heard Farlow’s voice coming from the room on the other side of the window. Farlow was sitting on a chair beside a luxurious bed, and he was holding someone’s hand between his own with his head bowed. Gina looked at the person lying on the bed, and she almost gasped in shock from what she saw! It was the most beautiful woman Gina had ever seen in her life! Gina had seen many beautiful women during her travels, especially amongst the elves, but this woman’s beauty was far beyond anything Gina had ever seen! This woman was absolutely breathtaking, and Gina didn’t need to be a genius to figure out exactly who this was.

’The Elven Queen. What happened to her?’

Gina looked over at Farlow, and she saw the extreme sadness on his face as he held his wife’s hand, and Gina could feel her own heart squeezing in pain as an image of Jason suddenly appeared in front of her. Was this how Jason felt when she died? Gina watched as Farlow reached over and gently ran his hand over the Queen’s face with a small smile, and Gina decided that she shouldn’t be here! Gina couldn’t eavesdrop on something that looked so personal. Gina was about to leave, but before she could go, she felt her heart skip a beat as Farlow’s eyes suddenly glanced in her direction! Gina gasped, and she quickly took off from the tower window!

’No way, did he see me!? He looked at me, right!? Oh shit, shit, shit, I’m so dead! Wait... why am I running away like a little girl who got caught stealing cookies!? Ugh, now I look even guiltier! What’s wrong with me!?’

Gina stopped flying away as this thought crossed her mind, and she let out an amused sigh as she put her hand over her face in embarrassment! Gina didn’t know why, but after spending so much time with Farlow, she had already started to see him as some sort of wise father figure, and a mentor that she could go to for advice. So when she realised that Farlow had almost seen her spying on him, she had the same reaction a daughter would have if they were discovered in the cookie jar by their father! Gina just laughed about the whole thing, and she decided that she would talk to Farlow about it when she gets back from training.

Gina headed off to the Lake of Remembrance, and she hummed when she saw two little girls waiting for her over there. One of the little girls was the maid Gerael, who had come to pick Gina up the previous day, and standing beside her was a little elf girl with long blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and a round, chubby face that made her look cuter than anyone in the world! This was the littlest princess in the castle, Princess Heriet, and she was the one that Gina had spent the most time with during dinner the previous day! The princess smiled happily when she saw Gina, and she waved up at Gina excitedly until Gina landed in front of her.

"Hello, Lady Gina! I’ve been waiting for you!"

The little princess ran up to Gina, and Gina easily picked her up and spun her around with a wide smile!

"Little Heriet! I’ve missed you so much! Oh, look at your beautiful gown, you’re so cute today!"

Gina grinned happily as she rubbed her cheek against Heriet’s face, and Heriet just laughed as she hugged Gina around the neck! Gina and Heriet had hung out the previous night during dinner, and the two of them had hit it off immediately! Heriet absolutely adored Gina, and she looked up to her like a big sister, and Gina thought Heriet was the cutest thing to ever exist!
