The Art of Chaotic Divinity-Chapter 1212: Five-Element Bronze Door
"Cunning fat bastard!"
Lan Yuhuang cursed inwardly. She remembered that Ling Feng had dared to swallow her Jade Moth Larva whole. The road ahead was unknown, so she could only rely on this annoying fatty for now.
After they passed the section of the cabin where the demonic corpses slept, the following stretch of the ship became much safer.
With Madam Zhuqu leading them, the group reached the far end of the ship with ease. Another bronze door blocked the way forward.
Madam Zhuqu turned around and spoke to the Bald Blade Emperor. "This part depends on you. You're a metal attribute Human Emperor and you have comprehended three metal attribute rule inscriptions. Use your metal rule inscriptions and strike this concealed door."
She paused for a moment, then continued. "Behind this one are separate bronze doors for the water, wood, and earth attributes. Shui Wuhen, I, and the Blood-Hand Venom Emperor will each open one."
"As for the final concealed door, the most crucial one, it must be opened by someone with extremely strong soul talent. I originally planned to ask Yangshu Zi for help. That old coward refused out of fear for his life. Fortunately, although Young Master Long is still very young, he is already a high-tier alchemist. He can fill this role."
Ling Feng narrowed his eyes and asked, "Since there are concealed doors for metal, wood, water, and earth, why is there no fire-attributed door?"
Madam Zhuqu answered calmly. "The fire-attributed door was destroyed long ago, so it no longer needs to be opened."
Everyone nodded. Madam Zhuqu then said, "Bald Blade Emperor, we will depend on you next."
"It is only a broken door. Why waste my rule inscriptions on it."
The Bald Blade Emperor frowned. Even for a Human Emperor, condensing a rule inscription consumed tremendous elemental force. In a place like this, every trace of elemental force mattered.
Madam Zhuqu shook her head and did not argue. She gathered elemental force and struck the bronze door with her palm.
A Human Emperor's strike was terrifying in power. Yet the bronze door did not react at all. It did not tremble and it did not show a single mark.
They all soon noticed that a layer of dark energy glimmered faintly across the surface of the door. That energy trembled slightly and absorbed her strike entirely!
"This!"
The Bald Blade Emperor's eyelid twitched. He finally understood that Madam Zhuqu had spoken the truth.
"If you do not utilize your rule inscriptions, we could attack this door together for a hundred years and still not damage it in the slightest!"
Madam Zhuqu spoke in a low voice. "This ship carries remnants from the ancient God-Demon War. Nothing about it is ordinary."
In fact, not only this door but the entire ship was unbelievably durable. Even a great emperor would not be able to break through it by force. These few Human Emperors had no chance at all.
The Bald Blade Emperor no longer dared to complain. He gritted his teeth, condensed his three metal rule inscriptions and struck the bronze door.
The inscriptions activated the gate, and golden light rippled across its surface. Nearly half an hour elapsed before the gate finally opened with a heavy sound, revealing a passage beyond.
The Bald Blade Emperor gasped for breath. He quickly took out several medicinal pills that restored elemental force. In a place like this, falling into a weakened state meant certain death if anything went wrong.
Ling Feng narrowed his eyes and suddenly smiled. "Bald Blade Emperor, even if you swallow all of your pills, you will only recover three tenths of your elemental force. I have pills that can restore six tenths. Do you want one?"
The Bald Blade Emperor brightened instantly. "Fatty, I want it. Of course I want it!"
Madam Zhuqu's brow tightened slightly. She quickly masked the reaction, yet Ling Feng noticed it clearly.
"There is no such thing as a free lunch. Senior Bald Blade Emperor should understand this," Ling Feng said with a smile, pulling out a round medicinal pill.
"Hmph!"
The Bald Blade Emperor gritted his teeth. "Brat, speak. What do you want?"
"One million elemental crystals!"
Ling Feng raised one finger and named an outrageous price.
"One million elemental stones?" The Bald Blade Emperor pulled out a card and prepared to hand it over. Ling Feng said, "No. Elemental crystals."
"E-Elemental crystals! This is robbery!"
The Bald Blade Emperor nearly exploded from anger. For one million elemental crystals he could buy several seventh-tier pills that fully restored elemental force, not a pill that only restored sixty percent.
"You are free to refuse. A person who values money more than life is no concern of mine. If I were in a place this dangerous, I would pay two million without hesitation."
Ling Feng held the pill in his fingers and grinned.
"Fine, you're ruthless!"
Bald Blade Emperor fiercely threw a Tianmeng VIP card toward Ling Feng, gritting his teeth as he said, "This holds one million elemental crystals, give me the pill!"
"Hehe. Come again next time."
The Bald Blade Emperor ground his teeth in rage. No wonder alchemists were always wealthy. With a single casual transaction, the fatty had pocketed a million elemental crystals!
Lan Yuhuang and Shui Wuhen later purchased pills for themselves when they opened their respective five-element bronze doors. Ling Feng earned another three million elemental crystals. The first person to get rich on this expedition was not the strongest among them but the weakest, Ling Feng.
They finally passed through the concealed doors of all five elements and stepped into the last section of the ship.
This part of the cabin looked entirely different from the previous areas. Clear traces of battle covered the walls. Judging by the depth and chaotic spread of the damage, the fight here had been intense.
To leave such deep marks on a ship comparable to a celestial artifact, the combatants here back then must have been experts at or above the Great Emperor realm!
