At first, the snake was a bit offended by Hua Tianshu’s words, but as it listened more, it nodded its head in guilt, agreeing with the man.
"You are right. I do not deserve forgiveness and I dare not wish for it either," The snake spoke, "All I want is for Jie Fu Lian to live an ordinary life, surrounded by the people he loves and those that love him."
Hua Tianshu slightly smiled as he heard this and spoke, "You do not need to worry about that. As long as I’m alive, I’ll never let anything hurt him ever again. I’ll make sure that he lives a long and happy life."
The snake smiled as it heard this and nodded its head, slowly disappearing into thin air as it muttered its final words, "I’ll be counting on you, Hua Tianshu... You better keep your word."
Shortly after, Hua Tianshu also lost consciousness once again and by the time he woke up, he was finally back in the HuiXue sect with Jie Fu Lian and Jin Shifeng there by his side.
"You are awake?" Jin Shifeng immediately questioned, feeling both shocked and relieved.
Hua Tianshu slowly pushed himself up as he sat straight and was immediately attacked by Jie Fu Lian who jumped on him and engulfed him in a tight hug.
"You almost scared me to death," Jie Fu Lian spoke, sounding almost as if he could cry at any given moment, "Don’t you ever do that again."
Hua Tianshu’s lips curled up in a warm smile as he heard this and he softly asked, "Did I worry you? I’m sorry."
"If you are sorry then don’t do it again."
Hua Tianshu nodded his head but didn’t say anything since he knew that even if he made a promise right now, he would not be able to keep it since in the future if there was a situation like this, he would once again choose to face danger in order to save Jie Fu Lian.
"And don’t you dare brush it off as a dream!" Jie Fu Lian exclaimed, pulling away from the hug with a frown, "You confessed to me first and you kissed me first!"
Hua Tianshu chuckled as he heard this and spoke, "I’m pretty sure it was you who kissed me first."
Jie Fu Lian smiled as he heard this and proudly nodded his head.
Jin Shifeng, whose entire existence had been ignored and forgotten, felt as if it would be better for her to leave and give the two some space so she snuck out of the room and waited outside.
"I’m talking about our first kiss," Hua Tianshu added.
"Huh?"
"Inside the illusion dream," Hua Tianshu reminded, "You mistook me for Bai YiJun and kissed me first, don’t you remember?"
Jie Fu Lian’s cheeks blushed red as he heard this and he gulped as he reluctantly revealed, "I didn’t mistake you for Bai YiJun..."

Hua Tianshu’s eyebrows creased together in confusion as he heard this and he questioned, "Bai YiJun wasn’t even there."

"I thought I saw you so I kissed you but then I opened my eyes and saw Bai YiJun so I thought I got the wrong person."
Hua Tianshu didn’t know if he wanted to laugh or cry as he heard this.
"Jie Ming... You are really driving me crazy here," Hua Tianshu sighed, feeling quite ridiculous for having misunderstood like that.
"Don’t tell me-" Jie Fu Lian gasped as he looked at Hua Tianshu with his eyes wide open in disbelief as he asked, "Did you always pick a fight with Bai YiJun because of that...?!"
Hua Tianshu evaded eye contact as he spoke, "Not just because of that. Bai YiJun is just annoying in general."
Jie Fu Lian couldn’t help but laugh as he heard this and teased the man as he spoke, "Come on now, he is just a friend. There is nothing going on between us."
Hua Tianshu looked to be unimpressed as he heard this and spoke, "He went into the abyss in search of your soul and revealed the fact that he could walk without any problems. Do you think he would go that far just for a friend?"
Jie Fu Lian innocently nodded his head as he spoke, "If I were in his shoes, I would have also done the same."
"..." Hua Tianshu felt as if he was being pathetic for getting jealous over something so trivial.
"He probably didn’t expect to meet others inside the abyss. That’s why he didn’t bother using the wheelchair. Don’t think too much about it," Jie Fu Lian shrugged his shoulders as he defended.
Hua Tianshu slightly frowned, feeling that Jie Fu Lian was the one who was mistaken and unable to notice Bai YiJun’s true feelings towards him.

When he eventually realized what Jie Fu Lian was saying, a blush of red crept up his ears and he felt his heart race as he asked, "Do you want to marry me?"
Jie Fu Lian smacked Hua Tianshu’s head playfully as he chuckled, "You skipped too many steps there. We should start dating first."
Hua Tianshu gulped as he heard this and asked, "Then are we dating now?"
Jie Fu Lian smiled as he heard this and held back his urge to tease the man as he spoke, "Maybe we are."
It felt like a beautiful dream and Hua Tianshu had to pinch himself to prove that it wasn’t just a wild fantasy.
"Jie Ming, I think I’m about to die."
Jie Fu Lian immediately frowned as he heard this and looked to be quite unhappy as he spoke, "Don’t say such ominous things."
"But I really do feel like I’m about to die. This feels too good to be true," Hua Tianshu replied.
"If you had confessed sooner, we wouldn’t have had to wait so long," Jie Fu Lian spoke, pushing all the blame on Hua Tianshu.
"I was afraid of losing you. If I knew this was how you were going to respond, I would have definitely confessed sooner."
Jie Fu Lian didn’t look to be convinced as he heard this and spoke, "I gave you so many hints! How can you not know...?!"
"Hints? When did you give me hints?" Hua Tianshu looked to be genuinely clueless as he asked.
"When I visited your house, I kept flirting with you, don’t you remember?"
"..." Hua Tianshu blinked as he thought back to that time and innocently asked, "Aren’t you normally like that...?"
For some reason, Jie Fu Lian felt a little angry as he heard this question, "Do you think I run around and flirt with everyone I meet?"
"You don’t...?"
"TianTian, you should stop digging your own grave."
Hua Tianshu obediently nodded his head.
They were suddenly interrupted by a knock on the door and Jin Shifeng’s voice as she coughed, "Are you two done?"
"When did she go out?" Jie Fu Lian asked as he looked at Hua Tianshu.
Hua Tianshu shrugged his shoulders, "I don’t know."
"Just come in," Jie Fu Lian replied to Jin Shifeng who came in accompanied by Elder Ren.
"There is something that I needed to say," Jin Shifeng sighed as she spoke, "Yu Wei isn’t dead."
Both Hua Tianshu and Jie Fu Lian frowned as they heard this and felt greatly shocked and confused.
Jin Shifeng looked over at Elder Ren as she added, "This is Yu Wei."
"..." Jie Fu Lian felt as if this was a joke, but at the same time, Jin Shifeng’s face didn’t look to be one that was joking.
"What do you mean?" Hua Tianshu asked with a small frown as he glanced at Elder Ren and then looked back at Jin Shifeng.
