The Demon King is an Idiot [BL]-Chapter 182: He won’t come
Soon, the wind frantically changed directions and suddenly gave birth to a wind dragon that ferociously roared as it aimed at Jin Long.
Jin Long gulped as he saw the dragon and immediately crushed something under his fist. However, the dragon did not stop and Jin Long’s eyes widened in shock and horror as he quickly stepped aside and barely managed to avoid the attack.
"Where is the master of curses...?" Jin Long questioned in disbelief as he took another summoning bead and crushed it.
"Don’t look for him," Jie Fu Lian laughed, "He won’t come."
There was a sudden shift in Jin Long’s expression as he heard this. He gritted his teeth as he looked at the thousands of puppets and threateningly spoke, "Don’t you dare touch even a single hair on his head!"
Jie Fu Lian was a bit surprised by Jin Long’s strong reaction.
"If I do, would you kill me again?"
"Kill you?" Jin Long laughed, maniacally. "It won’t end with just that. First, I’ll kill and destroy everything you love, including your precious Hua Tianshu. Then I’ll slowly torture you to death."
Jie Fu Lian did not let Jin Long’s words get to his head and only smirked as he heard this.
The wind dragon suddenly grew bigger and acted fiercer as it pranced at Jin Long.
Instead of dodging it, this time, Jin Long tried to stop it, but miserably failed. The wind dragon sliced into his skin and threw him up, twenty feet into the air, before pushing him down to the ground.
As soon as his back hit the ground, with his eyes wide open in shock and horror, he coughed out a mouthful of blood.
Satisfied by the result, the wind dragon roared loudly before it dispersed into the air.
"The master of curses should be the last of your worries," Jie Fu Lian spoke as he stepped up and glared at Jin Long, "So why don’t you tell me why you destroyed the Yan Sect?"
Jin Long looked to have been defeated and Shen Chao took this time to quickly sneak over and save Duan Luoyang who was tied up.
Shen Chao untied the diety binding ropes and tried to pull Duan Luoyang up, but unfortunately, with the injuries on the man’s leg, it was impossible for him to stand and walk on his own. In the end, Shen Chao turned his back to Duan Luoyang and told him to get on as he carried the man back to safety.
Hua Tianshu also carried Hua Meifang and took her away. However, no matter how much he tried to wake the woman up, she simply did not open her eyes. With a worried expression on his face, he reluctantly took her hand and felt for her pulse, only sighing in relief once he had found it.
The woman was certainly still alive and looked to be unharmed. That, in itself, was good enough.
Suddenly, Jin Long broke out laughing, and in the process, he coughed up even more blood. He did not bother pushing himself up as he lay on the ground and looked up at the sky which was covered with thick dark clouds.
"You want to know why I destroyed the Yan Sect?" He questioned with a smile and without waiting for a reply, spoke, "I did it because of you."
"Me?" Jie Fu Lian tilted his head in confusion as he repeated.
Jin Long gave a small nod as he closed his eyes and remembered the scene.
"He said that my future was pitifully short. He said that I would be killed by the one I admired the most. He said that I would be killed by Jie Fu Lian..." Jin Long softly muttered, sounding extremely calm, "At first, I couldn’t believe it but then, the things he said started coming true. Like the illusion dream and Bai LiuXian’s murder. I thought he was a madman but when the things he foretold started happening, I could no longer waste my time doubting his skills."
"So you killed me...?" Jie Fu Lian scoffed as he questioned.
"It was the only way," Jin Long continued with a small smile, "I didn’t want to do it but in order to survive, I had to get rid of you. However, I couldn’t just straightforwardly kill you. You were the son of Jie Yang Zan and were quite well known as the rare talent that gave hope to the cultivation world. You were a genius only seen once every thousand years. If I had killed you, people would think I did it out of jealousy and they’d blame me for being evil."
Jie Fu Lian couldn’t help but grit his teeth as he heard this.
"I was almost about to give up, thinking that it was impossible to kill you, however, you changed that," Jin Long laughed as he continued, "You were one who did not care about the rumors that surrounded you and as a result, the rumors about you only got worse. People started doubting you and that’s when I realized that there was an easier way to get rid of you. When I heard about Bai LiuXian’s case, I immediately volunteered to lead it and my father agreed. It was clear that you were being framed, and do you know what was funny? Even the real murderer did a sloppy job and made it clear that he was framing you."
"Huh?"
"If I’m guessing right then the murderer never framed you with the intention of getting you caught. He did it with the intention of saving himself and throwing off the investigation in order to buy time. He never imagined the investigation to end with you taking the blame for it."
"Is that why you killed Bai Baoshi?" Jie Fu Lian frowned as he questioned.
"She knew who the real killer was and if she kept on blabbering the truth, I would not have been able to make you the culprit. If she had just kept her mouth shut, she would not have died so miserably."
"She kept saying that a ghost was the one who killed her child. Are you saying that she was right?"
"Of course, not," Jin Long laughed as he replied, "She said that because she couldn’t speak in front of the real killer."
"Huh?"
"That’s right. The real killer was always there, watching over the investigation carefully. If she had spoken in front of him, perhaps he would have been the one to kill her. In order to avenge her son’s wrongful death, she came to me in secret and told me who the real killer was. I told her that it was important to make sure that she, as the witness, was safe and made her leave Xiujiang."
"And then you lured her somewhere far away and killed her in secret?"
Jin Long nodded his head without any hesitation, "She was quite a gullible woman. She really thought I was a good person. I never could have imagined her to be such a big shot in the cultivation world. She was quite talented and hard to kill but in the end, I did manage to finish the job. However, my plans were almost ruined by Jin Shifeng. Fortunately, Jin Shifeng was also easy to manipulate. All I needed to do was take her away from the Yu Sect and she promised to keep her mouth shut."
"So who was the real killer? Was it... Bai Guanyu?"
Jin Long laughed as he heard this question and instead of giving an answer, asked back, "Does it matter? In the end, everyone believed the real culprit to be you."
"It matters to me."
Jin Long smiled, "I don’t really feel like telling you. Why don’t you figure it out by yourself?"
"..."
"Anyway, after that, things started going pretty smoothly and my plan worked out perfectly. Of course, there were also times when I was almost caught."
"Almost caught?" Jie Fu Lian frowned as he repeated in disbelief.
"Hua Meifang," Jin Long spoke with a wicked grin, "She managed to find out about the master of curses. It wouldn’t have been long for her to follow his lead and find me. Thankfully, she was an idiot who entered the abyss in search of your soul."
As Jie Fu Lian heard the latter sentence, he immediately understood something and his eyes widened in shock as he reluctantly questioned, "So it was you...?"
Jin Long nodded his head with no shame as he admitted it, "I tried to kill her but annoyingly enough, got interrupted by that damned Shen Fang who managed to save her. I almost thought she would blurt out the truth to everyone but luckily enough, her cultivation roots were completely destroyed and she lost her mind. Ah, I think she wasn’t the only one who ended up like that. Your senior martial sister Yin Ru also ended up like that. It was quite a pleasant surprise."
Jie Fu Lian clenched his fist as he heard this and tried his best to control his temper.
"So you were the one who killed Shi XiuYing?"
Jin Long nodded his head, "That’s right."
