At that moment, Jie Fu Lian’s words echoed inside Hua Tianshu’s mind: TianTian, watch me closely. If you think I’m losing control, wake me up with a hug, okay?

Hua Tianshu pursed his lips into a thin line and gulped as he made up his mind.

Jie Fu Lian was suddenly hugged from behind and his body trembled even more. He tried to shake off the person that had hugged him but Hua Tianshu did not let go. Instead, he softly muttered into Jie Fu Lian’s ear, "Jie Ming, you have to wake up. You said it yourself, didn’t you? You promised not to put me in danger."

Jie Fu Lian’s body froze up and it seemed like his demonic Qi had also calmed down.

Knowing that Jie Fu Lian could hear him and that his words were working, Hua Tianshu sighed in relief as he continued with a smile, "Jie Ming, wake up. This is not the end. We have to keep fighting."

"Wake up....?" Jie Fu Lian softly muttered, unconsciously repeating Hua Tianshu’s words.

Hua Tianshu nodded his head, "That’s right. You have to wake up. You have to pull yourself together."

The demonic Qi surrounding Jie Fu Lian suddenly got stronger but this time, it felt a lot more controlled and the fiends stopped approaching him.

When Jie Fu Lian blinked, his eyes went back to normal and were no longer red. He looked at the fiends and clenched his fist as he mentally ordered them to go back.

At first, the fiends didn’t look to be cooperative at all. In fact, some even tried to bite Jie Fu Lian, but they were all cut down by Hua Tianshu and his sword.

Jie Fu Lian did not back down and he threatened the fiends, "Listen to me and I’ll let you live. Go against me and that will be the end of you."

His voice was deep and authoritative. He sounded both serious and intimidating. For a second there, the fiends hesitated and in the end, they were forced to cower in fear.

Jie Fu Lian glared at the fiends as he once again ordered them to leave.

This time, the fiends hesitantly laid down on the ground and they turned into black smoke that was absorbed by the ground. Just like how they had appeared, they had also managed to disappear.

Now, the fight was truly over and Jie Fu Lian sighed as he fell back, having no more energy to keep himself standing upright.

Hua Tianshu easily caught the man in his arms and smiled as he hugged him close.

"It’s really over," Hua Tianshu softly muttered with a warm smile as he looked down at Jie Fu Lian, "We can finally live that peaceful life that you’ve always craved for."

Jie Fu Lian couldn’t help but smile as he heard this.

"I love you..." Hua Tianshu muttered the sweet words that he had always wanted to say and openly admit.

Jie Fu Lian couldn’t help but tear up a little. Only he knew how long he had waited to hear these special words. The emotions that he had shut away for so long, the desires that he had dared not to realize, the feelings that he had been scared of acting on... It all came rushing back to him.

He was so relieved and so happy that for a second, he felt as if he could simply die at this moment and never regret it.

However, he didn’t want to die. Waiting ahead for him was a peaceful and happy future with Hua Tianshu and there was nothing in the world that he would trade it for. He wanted to live on. He wanted to experience the things that he had never experienced before. He wanted to be honest with himself and with his feelings.

He wanted to peacefully spend the rest of his life loving the person in front of him.

"I love you more..." Jie Fu Lian muttered as he slightly leaned up to kiss the man.

As their lips touched, Jie Fu Lian felt himself melting away in the feelings of pure bliss and Duan Luoyang immediately looked away, coughing in shock at what he had witnessed.

Ren Lei rolled her eyes as she laid down on her back, "So annoying..."

Jin Shifeng smiled and looked at Yu Wei as she mouthed out, "I love you."

Yu Wei chuckled as she pulled the woman closer and kissed her.

Shen Chao averted his eyes and unconsciously glanced down at his hands that were tightly holding onto Duan Luoyang’s hand.

He gulped as he raised his head to look at Duan Luoyang and spoke, "It’s over."

Duan Luoyang blinked as he heard this, unable to understand what the man was trying to say.

With a small smile, Shen Chao asked, "What should I do now?"

"Huh?"

"Is it time for me to leave?"

Duan Luoyang gulped as he heard this question. The reason why Shen Chao was here was because Duan Luoyang had brought him here, thinking that he would be useful. However, now that Jin Long was dead and the fight was over, there was no longer any point in keeping Shen Chao around.

It was clearly time for Shen Chao to go back, but Duan Luoyang didn’t like that idea at all.

He didn’t know why but he had already grown accustomed to having Shen Chao and enjoyed his company quite a lot.

"Why don’t you stay with us?" Duan Luoyang asked with a small smile.

Shen Chao sighed as he heard this and shook his head as he spoke, "I can’t."

Duan Luoyang immediately frowned as he heard this, unable to accept the man’s response, "Huh?"

"I’m not shameless enough to stick around when I’m no longer needed," Shen Chao chuckled as he spoke, "I’m spend a few more days here and I’ll help you recover, but after that, I’ll leave and go my own way."

Duan Luoyang tightly clutched onto the man’s hand as he heard this and firmly spoke, "Don’t go."

Shen Chao felt a little stunned by this reaction and smiled as he tried to push Duan Luoyang’s hand away, "I have to. I’m sure we’ll meet again some day."

Duan Luoyang gulped as he heard this and shook his head as he stubbornly spoke, "I’m not letting you go."

Shen Chao couldn’t help but find Duan Luoyang’s stubborn behavior a bit cute.

"Then do you want to come with me?" Shen Chao jokingly asked.

Duan Luoyang seriously thought about it for a few seconds before he quickly made up his mind, "Okay."

"Eh...?"

"I’ll go with you," Duan Luoyang spoke, confirming it.

Shen Chao blinked in disbelief and immediately frowned as he questioned, "Why would you do that...?!"

"I think it would be fun," Duan Luoyang vaguely answered with a smile, "And it looks like Shizun wouldn’t want me around anymore."

Shen Chao didn’t know if he was supposed to laugh or not as he heard this.

In the end, he teasingly patted Duan Luoyang’s head as he spoke, "Did you get abandoned because of your Uncle Fu?"

Duan Luoyang chuckled as he nodded his head, "That’s right. I got abandoned."

Shen Chao unconsciously smiled as he heard this and before he could think it through, he had already muttered out his thoughts, "You are so cute."

"..." Duan Luoyang blinked as he heard this and for a second there, wondered if he had heard it wrong.

Shen Chao immediately gasped and covered his mouth, regretting what he had thoughtlessly blurted out. Seeing this reaction only confirmed it for Duan Luoyang.

Taking it as an opportunity, Duan Luoyang cupped Shen Chao’s face with his hands as he spoke, "Shen Chao, I want to kiss you. Can I kiss you?"

"Eh...?!" Before Shen Chao could give a definite answer, Duan Luoyang had already pulled him closer and sealed Shen Chao’s lips with his own.

Seeing this only annoyed Ren Lei even more and she decided that it was best to just close her eyes and pretend as if she were dead.

With a foul mood, Mo Xue appeared beside her and laid down as he complained, "They are all so damn annoying!"

Ren Lei snapped her head towards the man and stared at him as if she had finally found her destiny.

Mo Xue also looked back at her and for a moment there, it was as if they had fallen for each other.

"You are also annoying," Mo Xue spoke, breaking the silence.

"..." Ren Lei felt as if a bucket of cold water had been dropped on her head.

"You are the most annoying out of them all," Ren Lei gritted out.

Mo Xue opened his mouth to say something but before any words could come out, everyone heard the sound of someone clapping.

Immediately stopping what they were doing, they all looked up in unison.

It seemed like the fight was still not over.

Feeling quite amused at the sight, the master of curses clapped his hands as he chuckled.

"I’m extremely sorry for having to disturb your little moment, but it seems like it’s time for us to fulfill our prophecy."
