The Demon King is an Idiot [BL]-Chapter 190: Your prophecy was wrong
Mo Xue opened his mouth to say something but before any words could come out, everyone heard the sound of someone clapping.
Immediately stopping what they were doing, they all looked up in unison.
It seemed like the fight was still not over.
Feeling quite amused at the sight, the master of curses clapped his hands as he chuckled.
"I’m extremely sorry for having to disturb your little moment, but it seems like it’s time for us to fulfill our prophecy."
Jie Fu Lian frowned, feeling a shiver run down his spine as he questioned, "How did you get out?"
The master of curses laughed as he heard this question, "Didn’t I already tell you? The eternal hell tower is merely a toy for children. There is no way you could’ve trapped me in there."
Jie Fu Lian gulped as he heard this but said nothing in response.
"What are you trying to do?" Hua Tianshu questioned with a frown as he glared at the master of curses.
"I’m simply trying to fulfill the prophecy and if you dare to come in my way, I’ll crush you under my feet."
"Jin Long is already dead," Jie Fu Lian spoke as he pointed out, "And I wasn’t the one who killed him. He sacrificed himself. Your prophecy was wrong."
The master of curses laughed as he heard this, truly seeming to enjoy himself as he spoke, "I never said you killed him directly."
"What...?"
"The prophecy wasn’t wrong. In the end, Jin Long did end up dead because of you."
Hua Tianshu had a bad feeling in his stomach as he heard this so he warily clutched onto the hilt of his Qi-collecting spiritual sword. Nobody looked to be in a good condition and if there was anyone who could continue fighting, it was Hua Tianshu who did not have to worry about his spiritual Qi running out thanks to his sword that could collect Qi from the surrounding.
Jie Fu Lian had made the sword with the sole purpose of saving a person’s life in a life-threatening situation. He created it in order to avoid a situation when one would be deemed helpless because of the exhaustion of one’s spiritual Qi and now that his worries had come true, the sword could finally display the purpose of its existence.
"Everything is going exactly as planned," The master of curses spoke as he took out a small sachet and carelessly flung it around.
As soon as Jie Fu Lian saw the sachet, he immediately knew what was inside.
The master of curses thoroughly enjoyed seeing the shocked and devasted expression on Jie Fu Lian’s face. He opened the sachet and reached in to take out the part of Jie Fu Lian’s soul that he had managed to collect without anyone knowing.
Jie Fu Lian gulped as he glared at the man and questioned, "What are you going to do with it?"
The master of curses smirked but gave no response.
Jie Fu Lian tried his best to keep his calm and put on a front, however, deep down inside, he was extremely scared and worried. He could already tell that everything had been meticulously planned by this man and he knew that the chances of them getting away were slim.
"Immortal Jie Fu Lian, I really have to thank you," The master of curses sighed as he spoke, "Without you, none of this would have ever happened. Without you, Shen Fang would have still been alive and he would’ve been able to stop me. However, what can we do? Shen Fang is gone and now, you are the only one left. Even if you try to escape, I have you right here in the palm of my hands."
The master of curses laughed as he held up Jie Fu Lian’s soul, proudly showing it as if it were some type of trophy.
Hua Tianshu gritted his teeth as he made a hand seal and sent his sword forward to attack the master of curses.
The sword was fast. In fact, it was fast enough to go undetected by a normal eye. However, the sword stopped in front of the master of curses who immediately stopped laughing.
Facing the tip of Hua Tianshu’s blade, the master of curses only glanced down at Hua Tianshu before he snapped his fingers and sent the sword flying back to Hua Tianshu.
"Daoist Hua, I was still speaking. Why would you try to interrupt me?"
When Hua Tianshu touched the hilt of his sword, he felt the scalding heat that made him throw the sword away in shock. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
He grabbed his hand and winced, unable to understand what had happened to his sword all of a sudden.
The master of curses smiled as he spoke, "That sword was forged by immortal Jie Fu Lian, was it not? Do you really think that thing would kill the one who made it?"
Jie Fu Lian couldn’t help but want to scoff in disbelief as he heard this.
It seemed like the sword was recognizing that part of his soul as its owner and as long as the master of curses was holding onto that soul, the sword would not attack.
Hua Tianshu was their only chance of survival and now... He was also helpless.
"What do you really want?" Jin Shifeng gritted out, glaring at the man with unhidden hostility, "Stop playing around and just get to the point!"
The master of curses side-glanced at the woman with an unhappy expression as he spoke, "I never gave you permission to speak."
In the very next moment, the top and bottom half of Jin Shifeng’s lips were sealed together by an unknown force, making her unable to say anything and snatching away her right to speak.
Yu Wei gulped as she muttered, "It’s a curse."
When the master of curses turned to look at Yu Wei, for a second there, he looked to be a bit taken back and questioned, "How come you are still alive?"
Yu Wei felt a shiver run down her spine as she heard this question and immediately wore the mask that made her look like Elder Ren.
Seeing this, the master of curses laughed, "So you survived by disguising yourself all these years? Haha... That’s a bit impressive."
Yu Wei gritted her teeth and glared at the man but said nothing.
"I guess I’ll just have to kill you again," The master of curses winked as he casually spoke.
Jin Shifeng stepped in front of the woman and glared at the master of curses. Although her lips were sealed, her eyes clearly conveyed her emotions.
"It’s a pity that you still think you can beat me," The man laughed as he commented.
Mo Xue gritted his teeth as he heard this and did not act rashly since he knew that the master of curses was still holding onto a part of Jie Fu Lian’s soul.
"The prophecy..." Jie Fu Lian muttered hesitantly as he asked, "What was it...? What was the real prophecy?"
The master of curses smirked as he heard this question and suddenly raised his hand, lightly squeezing the part of Jie Fu Lian’s soul that he was holding onto.
Jie Fu Lian gasped as he grabbed his chest, feeling an extremely sharp pain seeming to rise from inside.
"I was a little boy who was born to a normal family that had no connection with the cultivation world," The master curses spoke as he reminisced about the past.
"My father was a butcher and my mother died when I was merely two years old. I had two older brothers and an older sister. When my brothers came of age, they left the house and never looked back. When my sister came of age, she was married off to another family and never came back. In the end, I was left alone with my father. We didn’t have money and like the fates of many poverty-stricken families, it was inevitable that we would also die of hunger and malnutrition. Things were looking quite bleak for us."
"A butcher’s family lacking food? Bullshit!" Ren Lei scoffed but was skillfully ignored.
"My father worked hard every day in order to provide for us. One day, one of his customers complained about the bad quality of the meat and my father got into an argument with him. They fought and my father managed to send the man away. However, the man felt humiliated to have been beaten by a mere butcher and so, he looked for revenge."
"He came to me and offered to pay me a few gold coins if I were to kill my father and hang him up in the butcher’s shop like a gutted pig," The master of curses laughed, finding the memory extremely funny as he narrated it, "Can you guess what I did?"
Nobody gave him a response.
With Jie Fu Lian suffering on the ground, it was only natural that he took up all the attention and made no one care about what the master of curses had to say.
"I killed my father and hung him up in his butcher’s shop like a gutted pig," The man laughed as he continued, unbothered by the uninterested group of spectators, "And then I went to that man and asked him to pay up but do you know what he did?"
