The Demon King is an Idiot [BL]-Chapter 68: I’ll kill the demon king
"Jie Ming, I’ll kill the demon king."
Jie Fu Lian choked on the dumpling and the fluffy cat next to him glared at Hua Tianshu.
This was clearly not something you’d say over breakfast!
Hua Tianshu immediately looked to be worried and anxiously asked, "Are you okay? Should I get water?"
Jie Fu Lian coughed as he frantically shook his head and forcefully gulped down the half-chewed dumpling.
"Hua Tianshu! What do you mean?!" Jie Fu Lian’s eyes went wide in shock as he questioned, his voice sounding unnaturally high.
"The demon king is toying with us and it is starting to get annoying," Hua Tianshu clicked his tongue as he spoke, "So I’m going to kill him."
"Hua Tianshu... Are you sure you didn’t hit your head somewhere?" Jie Fu Lian tilted his head as he asked, "You’ll die if you go up against him!"
"I’ll die even if I don’t do anything," Hua Tianshu pointed out, "If I’m dying in both cases, I’d rather take the chance of trying to get out of here instead of waiting for that wicked demon to kill me."
"You’ve really gone crazy... Haven’t you?"
"Don’t worry," Hua Tianshu added, "I won’t drag you with me. You just have to stay here and wait. When I kill him, we can leave this place together."
"Hua Tianshu, you are overestimating yourself. You won’t beat him."
"I won’t know unless I don’t try."
"So you want to try and give your life up in the process?"
"All life born under the heavens must one day die under the heavens. My life is insignificant. If I can sacrifice my life for the death of the demon king, my death wouldn’t be for nothing."
"Stop bullshitting," Jie Fu Lian scolded, "Your life isn’t insignificant! Don’t you dare gamble it away! If there is anyone on this earth that can kill you, it’s me! Except for me, no one else has the right to harm you!"
Hua Tianshu smiled as he heard this and replied, "Jie Ming, I don’t wish to die. Even if it’s an insignificant life, I still want to live it. There are so many things that I have yet to say and so many others that I have yet to do. However, I want to save you from this place and I’ll be willing to give up anything it takes to keep you safe. Even if that means I’ll have to die for it."
Jie Fu Lian gritted his teeth as he heard Hua Tianshu’s words that had failed to reach him.
"Did I ask for you to save me?" Jie Fu Lian gritted out angrily, "Did I tell you to give up your life for me? Hua Tianshu, we are enemies! Why do you keep forgetting that?!"
Hua Tianshu no longer said anything in response to that.
"I came here on a mission and my mission is to save you from this place. I don’t care if you have lost your mind or not. I won’t let your impulsive decisions interfere with my mission," Jie Fu Lian firmly continued, "Hua Tianshu, if you really want to fight the demon king then just know that I won’t stand aside and watch. If you fight, I’ll fight with you and If you die trying, I’ll die with you."
Hua Tianshu gulped as he heard this and although it wasn’t meant to be something touching or romantic, Hua Tianshu still couldn’t help but feel his heart race.
"So untie me now," Jie Fu Lian added.
Hua Tianshu closed his eyes and calmed his heart down as he sighed and spoke, "I can’t let you do that."
Jie Fu Lian immediately frowned.
In the next moment, Hua Tianshu stood up as he spoke, "I’m sorry, Jie Ming. I’ll come back to get you when everything is over."
"Hua Tianshu, don’t you dare!"
Hua Tianshu ignored the man’s words and turned around as he walked over toward the door.
"Hua Tianshu, untie me right now!" Jie Fu Lian once again shouted as he tried to struggle out of the ropes that strapped him to the bed.
Hua Tianshu left the room and locked the door after him without bothering to give a response.
Jie Fu Lian felt his blood boil with anger but there was another emotion stronger than that which he could feel and it was fear.
It was the fear of not being able to help Hua Tianshu.
Jie Fu Lian shouted and cried out for the man till his throat went dry but Hua Tianshu never responded.
When Jie Fu Lian finally started to calm down, the fluffy white cat climbed on top of his chest once again and lifted its paw, displaying its sharp claws.
"Huh?"
.
.
.
Hua Tianshu walked to the center of the city and he unsheathed his sword as he took a deep breath in.
This time, he didn’t stab himself to bring the demon out. He acted a bit more cautiously.
He closed his eyes, made a few hand seals, and imbued the sword with spiritual Qi. The sword rose to the sky and stopped.
In the very next moment, the sword started absorbing spiritual Qi from the sky and its light started getting brighter.
As a reaction to the sword, there was a strong gust of wind that swept across the city in a rash manner.
The sword let out a pressure that could shake even the heavens and all that pressure remained in position as if frozen in time.
"Tch- It’s you again."
It seemed that Hua Tianshu was able to attract the attention of the demon.
"If you try to use force, your friends would also suffer," The demon reminded the man with a sigh, "Don’t forget, this illusion is made with the use of their minds. If you forcefully break it, you’ll be attacking their minds directly."
Hua Tianshu smirked as he heard this but didn’t bother opening his eyes as he kept his focus on controlling the sword.
"Daoist Hua Tianshu, are you sure you want to do this?" The demon questioned and his voice no longer sounded to be at ease.
"You’ll also hurt that kid called Jie Ming," The demon added.
Hua Tianshu’s actions didn’t stop and the demon frowned as he looked up at the sword that hung over the city with an overbearing pressure.
It looked as if the sword could come down at any given moment and if it did, it would rip this illusion apart in a matter of seconds.
"Your sister is also here," The demon started to feel a little impatient as he added, "Are you going to hurt her as well? Hua Meifang and Jie Fu Lian, do you really not care about them?"
"You’re wrong," Hua Tianshu muttered as he finally responded.
"Huh?"
"I’m not going to forcefully break this illusion," Hua Tianshu calmly spoke and the demon felt even more confused.
"Then what are you trying to do?"
Hua Tianshu snapped his eyes open and glared directly at the demon as he changed his hand seal and spoke, "It’s for you."
The sword moved faster than the speed of light, leaving behind only an afterimage.
The demon was powerful but not powerful enough to handle this one sword attack. Before the demon could even process what was happening, the sword had already managed to impale his heart with a clean strike.
The entire sword passed through the demon’s body with a clean strike before returning to Hua Tianshu.
Everything happened fast and by the time the demon looked down at his body, he was already spitting out a mouthful of blood with a huge hole in his chest.
"Bring your master out," Hua Tianshu spoke as he firmly held onto the bloodied hilt of his sword, "Today, I’ll challenge the Demon King, Shen Fang!" 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
The demon fell onto the ground and coughed out another mouthful of blood as he lifted his head to look at Hua Tianshu.
"You fool," The demon muttered and suddenly, the demon’s body turned into black smoke and disappeared.
Hua Tianshu didn’t bother stopping the demon but he didn’t dare be too relaxed either.
This fight was surely not going to be this easy and he was well aware of this.
Suddenly, Hua Tianshu felt a sword coming to strike him from behind and he immediately ducked his head and avoided it.
The sword flew past him and when he saw the sword, he felt a little stunned.
It was Hua Meifang’s sword...
Hua Tianshu gulped as he lifted his head only to see his own sister looking at him with bloodshot red eyes and murderous intent.
"Little Hua~ Did you really think you could kill me that easily?" The demon’s voice could be heard once again but the demon was nowhere in sight, "I’m afraid you are far too young for that."
It seemed that Hua Tianshu had wasted his first attack on an illusion of the demon.
"You’re a coward," Hua Tianshu sighed as he replied to the voice, "You don’t even dare come out."
