"Well, it surely does not look like you welcome invited ones either," Duan Luoyang groaned under his breath as he pushed himself up from the ground.

"Are you sure you want to send us away?" Jie Fu Lian raised his eyebrow as he questioned.

The man carefully looked at Jie Fu Lian as he asked, "Is that a threat?"

"A threat?" Jie Fu Lian repeated and laughed as he continued, "I hardly ever threaten people unless, of course, it is needed."

The man didn’t look to be amused by this response so he remained unfriendly towards the three unexpected visitors.

Jie Fu Lian, "We are not here to meet you. We are here to meet the sect master so naturally, the one who decides to send us back should also be the sect master and not you."

The man took out his other shoe and threw it at Jie Fu Lian as he retorted, "Piss off!"

After the first shoe attack and the sword attack, Jie Fu Lian was more than prepared for this reaction and hence, the shoe couldn’t slap him in the face.

When the shoe was just a few inches away from his face, it stopped on its own and flew back with double the force toward its owner.

The disciple from the Yu sect certainly did not expect his shoe to come back at him so before he could dodge, he already had a dark shoe print on his face. ’

The man gritted his teeth as he looked at Jie Fu Lian with unhidden hostility.

"I’ll consider that payback," Jie Fu Lian laughed as he pointed at the shoe print on his own face.

"Who the hell are you?" By now, the Yu sect disciple had already guessed that Jie Fu Lian was no ordinary cultivator so he did not dare act rashly.

"Me?" Jie Fu Lian pointed at himself as he sarcastically asked. He side-glanced at Hua Tianshu and suddenly had an amusing idea so he leaned on Hua Tianshu as he poked the man’s cheek with his finger and spoke, "I’m his owner."

Since Hua Tianshu had previously been the owner of the little wolf cub named Ai Ming, it was now Jie Fu Lian’s turn to be the owner of this full-grown man.

The Yu Sect Disciple looked to be a little stunned as he heard this and his eyes twitched.

"And I’m very rich," Jie Fu Lian took out a money pouch filled with gold and carelessly threw it towards the Yu Sect disciple as he spoke, "Do you want to know more about me or is this enough to get us a meeting with your sect master?"

The Yu sect disciple carefully opened the money pouch and as soon as he saw the gold coins that couldn’t even be counted with just a look, his entire demeanor changed. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

In Xiujiang, Jie Fu Lian had used money to solve the problem of seeking out the information guilt and he felt like money could solve the problem here as well since this sect looked like it needed tons of it.

Surely enough, money did solve the problem and the Yu sect disciple happily smiled as he stashed the money pouch into his pocket and politely asked, "What may I help these three fellow Daoist brothers with?"

Jie Fu Lian remembered what this disciple had previously stated, ’Our values and principles can’t be destroyed with money!’

It couldn’t be destroyed but it surely could be forgotten!

Jin Shifeng was indeed sold off to Jin Long!

"We want to meet the sect master," Jie Fu Lian replied as he kept his thoughts to himself and didn’t bother criticizing the man for being a hypocrite who could be bought off with money.

The man’s eyes turned a little dark as he heard this reply and he gulped as he carefully looked at Jie Fu Lian and hesitantly asked, "Is this rich brother asking to make fun of us or because he really doesn’t know?"

Jie Fu Lian tilted his head in confusion as he heard this and asked, "What do you mean?"

"Our Sect Master was abducted just three days ago."

"..." Jie Fu Lian wondered if he had heard wrong.

Was abducting a sect master really even possible...?

No matter what, the Yu sect was still considered one of the great eight sects and hence the sect master of the Yu sect was probably more than capable of protecting herself!

"Who abducted her?" Hua Tianshu asked. He was also a bit surprised but unlike Jie Fu Lian, he was more open to accepting the possibility since it certainly looked like the sect master of this particular sect was missing. If she wasn’t missing, the sect would probably not be in such a terrible state.

"Demonic beasts," The Yu Sect disciple spoke as he gritted his teeth, remembering what had happened.

Hua Tianshu’s eyebrows creased together as he heard this and he asked, "Then when will we be able to meet her?"

"..." The Man looked back at Hua Tianshu as if he was looking at a madman, "She didn’t go away for a vacation. She was abducted. How the hell am I supposed to know when she’ll return...?!"

After receiving money from Jie Fu Lian, the man tried to be as polite as he could but hearing such a nonsensical question surely made him lose his composure.

Hua Tianshu sighed as he heard this and asked, "Then is there anyone else available that we can talk to?"

The Yu sect disciple took a sharp breath in as he stopped himself from cursing at the man and spoke, "It depends on what kind of information you are looking for."

"We are looking for information on the past female disciples of the sect. To be more precise, Jin Shifeng and Bai BaoShi," Jie Fu Lian unhesitantly told the boy his motive.

"Our senior most elder might be able to help you with any information regarding martial senior sister Jin Shifeng, however, I do not believe there is a woman called Bai BaoShi in our sect. With such a peculiar name, if she had been here, I would have certainly remembered."

Jie Fu Lian nodded his head in understanding as he heard this and wasn’t too shocked since he knew that Bai BaoShi wasn’t the woman’s real name.

"Then take us to that elder," Hua Tianshu firmly spoke.

The Yu sect disciple suddenly smiled as he heard this and Jie Fu Lian couldn’t help but feel a little uneasy. That was certainly not an innocent smile. He was up to something.

"Sure," He happily answered and this was perhaps the most genuine reaction that he had given till now.

The Yu sect disciple led them inside the sect and politely escorted them to the place where the said elder lived.

As they looked around inside the sect, they felt sympathy for the disciples staying there.

All the houses were made with hay and wood. They were all of the same sizes and could hardly be told apart. There was nothing extravagant or eye-catchy in this place except for the three-meter tall statue of a woman meditating that marked the center of the sect.

Jie Fu Lian couldn’t help but believe that all the sect funds were used up to make that statue and hence, none was left for making the houses or other essential utilities.

When they reached the place where the Yu Sect elder lived at, they were naturally not shocked to see that it was another one of those identical huts.

However, although the small hut looked the same from the outside, it certainly did not feel the same.

As soon as Jie Fu Lian was near it, he could feel the overbearing pressure of the person inside the hut.

As the Yu sect disciple knocked on the door and announced the arrival of the three guests, Jie Fu Lian felt a shiver run down his spine. He was certainly not enthusiastic to meet the person who owned this ominous-looking hut.

"Send them in," A voice of a woman came from inside and Jie Fu Lian immediately wanted to turn into a wolf cub and hide behind Hua Tianshu.

When he side-glanced at Hua Tianshu, he couldn’t see the man, and only then did he notice that Hua Tianshu had already stepped back and hidden behind him.

"..." It seemed that Jie Fu Lian wasn’t the only one who was intimidated.

Unlike the two men who were too scared to move, Duan Luoyang happily followed after the Yu Sect disciple and entered the small hut with no care in the world.

When Jie Fu Lian saw this, he frowned as he suddenly had a thought and asked, "Is he unafraid of death or does he not feel it at all?"

"He is a coward so it’s definitely the latter," Hua Tianshu answered without missing a beat.

With a sigh, Jie Fu Lian took a hold of Hua Tianshu’s hand and entered the hut after much hesitation.

Hua Tianshu was clearly a bit taken back by Jie Fu Lian’s action and kept staring at their linked hands.
