Chapter 364: Need a hand with that?

"Break that fucking shield!"

"We can’t! It’s too powerful!"

"Stay back!"

"Arghhh!"

"Run away!"

"Watch out for the orbs!"

Nadya was walking through an entire horde of troops as they attacked her, but to no avail. There was a force field around her that absorbed and repelled attacks, and she had dozens of magic orbs flying around the battlefield, slaying people left and right.

"You’re really ruthless, Nadya. I sometimes forget that underneath that cute smile of yours, there is a crazy, murderous bitch." Gwen crushed a man’s head in her hand, then blasted a concentrated beam of fire from her mouth that vaporized over twenty people at once.

"Says the woman who literally just did that."

Gwen cheesed, her sharp teeth on display. "Hey, I act crazy all the time, well, not as crazy as Amaya." A man leaped at Gwen, but she cut off his head with her tail.

"Or Karumi." Nnadya looked at the fox to see her holding up eleven people. She had all nine of her tails in the mouths of nine people, and her hands were gripping the faces of two more unfortunate souls.

"Is she going to—" Gwen couldn’t finish her sentence as Karumu crushed the heads of the people she was holding up with her hands and blasted the other nine people in the mouths with beams from her tail.

"Mwhahahahahahahahaha! None of you is a match for a divine spirit!" She transformed into a colossal nine-tailed fox and started causing more destruction than Flexom’s men.

"And you say I’m a murderous bitch?"

"I stan corrected." Gwen apologized. "You still look innocent, though."

"That’s fair."

Kyana wasn’t interested in an all-out battle and wanted to eliminate everyone in one go. So, she flew into the air, then looked down at the demons and soldiers whose numbers were dwindling because of her sister’s rapid killing spree.

"Watcha doing?" Sasha asked

"Trying to take all of them out in one go. You?"

"Just got done killing those guys over there." Sasha pointed to a massive pile of bodies.

"Had fun?"

"It was alright. They aren’t that strong, to be honest."

"Yeah." Kyana took aim. "But that doesn’t mean killing them isn’t satisfying."

She released her bowstring, and a volley of arrows rained down onto the battlefield, killing every demon and soldier in sight and narrowly missing her sisters and Kai.

"Hey! Watch it!" Amaya complained

"Oh, look, Kyana finally attacked." Gwen was wondering when she was going to help out.

Nadya continued walking, her barrier protecting her in case an arrow went off course.

"Hehe! These tickle!" Because of how big Karumi was, some of the arrows hit her, but they did absolutely no damage whatsoever."

"Now listen here. You’re going to take me to your boss and—" An arrow struck the head of the guy Kai was talking to. "What the hell?"

After five minutes of raining arrows, the entire place was liberated, and what was left was a lot of destruction and dead bodies.

"Good work, team!" Kyana came down with a smile on her face.

Karumi shrank into a small fox and then climbed around Kai’s neck. "Kai, did you see how big I got? Our kids will get big like that as well!"

"Yeah, It was impressive."

"Are you guys the resistance?" A man asked, holding his arm.

Kai and the girls straightened up. "That’s right. We helped the people evacuate and eliminated the threat."

"T-Then why did you destroy more of our home?" The man asked

They all looked around to see the place even more destroyed than it already was.

"There’s a reason for that...and...it’s to rebuild!" Kyana managed to get out.

"B-But it will take months, if not longer, to rebuild. And we don’t have the resources to do so."

Now, a bunch of people, the survivors, started flocking in alongside the resistance members who were stationed here. They all started to complain about how they lost even more after Kai’s group arrived instead of being grateful.

Couldn’t blame the people, though. They wouldn’t even be able to salvage anything because of how destroyed the place was.

"Haha, don’t worry. I can give you a hand with that." With one hand, Kai removed all of the dead bodies from the town, destroying the bodies of the soldiers and demons, but preserving the bodies of the residents and the fallen resistance members.

Then, with his other hand, he reformed the land, making it more prosperous than it already was. He rebuilt the entire town from scratch, making it bigger and better than it already was. He even created exact replicas of the things each person had in their homes.

And for the cherry on top, he made an oasis right in the middle of the town.

"How’s that?" He asked with a smile, striking a pose.

"Amazing."

"Is he a god?"

’Close, but not yet.’

"Our homes are rebuilt!"

"The land isn’t burned."

"Praise the resistance!"

"Praise the resistance!"

"E-Excuse me?" A woman walked over to Kai.

"What’s up, beautiful?"

"I-I have important information to relay to the resistance. We learned why this town was occupied by the Royal Soldiers."

This seemed like important information, so Kai teleported everyone into a new house he had made for himself.

"Speak." He ordered

"These towns were built on ancient grounds. While it was known that this place was sacred, no one knew why besides what we learned in history class. However, we recently found out that a relic resides underneath the sand in Lower Sagebrook."

"So Flaxem wants his hands on this relic." Kai assumed. Classic villain behavior.

"Flexom, but yes. Our captain, the person my colleagues and I report to, was kidnapped because he managed to find the location. When he told us that we found it, one of my colleagues turned him in, revealing himself to be a spy. Please, you have to save my captain! If they get their hands on this relic, who knows what they would do."

Kai understood the gravity of this situation, so he resorted to the method he used to resolve issues like these.

"Alright, everyone, group huddle time!"
