The Hero of Hypnosis-Chapter 365: Saving private...Karlis?
The woman was slightly confused when everyone huddled up. She knew this information needed to get back to their headquarters, but instead of moving, Kai and his girls just started wondering what their next course of action should be.
"Okay, guys, we could save this guy, or we could go back to the resistance with this info. What’s the plan?" Kai asked
"I think we should rescue this guy, but we should also let the resistance know just in case," Gwen suggested.
"That seems reasonable. Amaya?"
"Let’s just find this guy and bust him out! We can kill more people while we’re there as well!" The demons and soldiers she fought here weren’t enough to entertain her, and she wanted more.
"I was leaning more towards that option as well, but Gwen made a good point. Sasha, what do you think?"
"I don’t care, really. As long as there are valuables we can take."
"Valid. Kyana?"
"I’m with Gwen on this. Let’s inform the resistance and then rescue the guy."
"Okay, that’s two votes for Gwen’s idea. Nadya?"
"Gwen’s plan."
"Three votes."
"Let’s just rescue the guy, kill all the enemies, then have sex so you can get me pregnant!"
"That sounds great as well." Kai cleared his throat. "Okay, so we have three in favor of Gwen’s plan, two in favor of Amaya’s plan, and one neutral. Guess this means I’m the tie breaker."
He looked at all of his girls’ anticipating faces, except Sasha, who never really cared about doing work like this.
"Now that I’m thinking about it, Sasha, you like hunting monsters and shit like that more than this, right?" Kai asked. He noticed that her demeanor was always different when it came to monsters.
"Mhmm. I like it more. Reminds me of my adventuring days." She admitted
"We should hunt some monsters later. Anyway, I chose Gwen’s plan."
Amaya dropped to her knees, clutching Kai’s legs. "Nooooo! Why would you betray me, Kai?! Whyyy!"
Kai picked her up. "Don’t worry, my sweet cat, I just informed them of what we’re going to do by sending a clone. Besides, your plan was the same as Gwen’s, minus telling the resistance of our plans."
"S-So, you guys will rescue him?" The woman asked?
"Oh shit! Jeez, I forgot you were here. Yeah, we’ll rescue him. You said he’s in Upper Sagebrook, right?"
The woman nodded. "Yes."
"Sweet. We’ll leave right away. Prepare the sand sail!"
"No, we’re flying there."
"Aw, man."
---
"You’ll never get what you want out of me! I’ll never tell you where the relic is located!" A man was strapped to a chair, his limbs bound in a rope that negated his chi from flowing. He had a black eye, blood dripping from his nose and mouth, and had bruises all over his body.
"I can’t believe I trusted you! We trusted you! You were our family!" The man shouted
"Ha, please. I wasn’t family. I wasn’t even on your side to begin with. And it’s your fault for being too trusting." The man who betrayed the resistance was sitting on a chair, looking at his former companion with a smug expression.
"Carlipile! Release me!" The man shouted
"You speak a lot for a man who’s going to die, Karlis."
The door to the room they were in suddenly opened, and in walked a person who was tall, dark, and pretty ugly because his face was riddled with scars.
"Did he talk yet?" The man asked in a booming, deep voice.
"No, Boss. As you can see, I beat him up quite good, but he’s tougher than I thought. I even went over all of his notes to make sure I could find anything, but I got nothing. So, I guess I have to resort to mutilation now."
The man nodded, agreeing with Carlipile. "I have gotten word that the taking of Lower Sagebrook was successful, so now, all we need to do is get the information out of him, and we can start digging."
"That’s great news." Carlipile’s arms glowed as tattoos formed over them. His hand morphed into a metal blade, and he stood next to Karlis, holding one of his fingers.
"Speak, and you get to keep your limbs. You might die as well."
"Heh, do you think that I’m a fool? You can take all my limbs if you want, but I know you can’t kill me, not when you don’t have all the pieces of the puzzle." Karlis was around long enough to understand how threats worked.
Carlipile shrugged. "Okay." He sliced off one of Karlis’s fingers, blood dripping onto the ground, and placed the severed finger on a tray.
"You have nineteen more of these if we include your feet. Then we have your wrists and ankles, your arms and legs, your eyes, your ears, and even your fucking balls. And the best part about all of this is that I can fucking heal you, hahaha! Are you ready to expierence this pain?"
"D-Do your worst!" The anger in Karlis’s eyes told the two of them that he wasn’t messing around when he said that. He wouldn’t give up the information no matter what.
"Very well. Since you asked, you shall receive."
But before he could continue, a loud knock on the door caught his attention.
"E-Excuse me, Commander Big-Bottom, Sir Carlipile, there are some people at the front gate claiming that they have something called ’room service’? I don’t know what that means."
"What are their appearances?" Big-Bottom asked
"Uhh, one human male, two human females, I think, two beastkin women, one elf woman, and one dwarf woman."
"Send a squad out."
"W-We did, sir. They are brutally killed...by one of them."
Big-Bottom growled and stepped out of the room after ordering Carlipile to continue with what he was doing.
"Speak. How strong are they?"
"Umm, we sent a squad of Tier-7 wizards, but they were wiped out with ease. I’m guessing their power is at least in tier-9 from what I saw."
Big-Bottom frowned. "Gather the elite squad, we’ll confront these people head-on. And gather every person capable of fighting. This could get ugly fast."
"Yes, sir!"
