The Hero of Hypnosis-Chapter 372: First challenge finished
"Unbelievable! She took all five of them out as if they were nothing but trash!"
"She’s the real deal!"
"I like her!"
"Now that the first event is over, let’s move on to the next challenge!"
Gwen was escorted to the waiting area, and Kai went up next. He lost to Kyana in rock, paper, scissors.
"Good job, Gwen. You were great." Kai slapped her ass
Gwen smiled and kissed him on the cheek. "You need to do that more often. I like your touch."
"Noted."
"Break a leg, babe."
"Oh, you already know I’m going to kick ass."
Kai, in fact, was not going to kick ass. The moment he stepped into the arena, the entire place shifted into a war zone, and Kai was stuck right in the middle of it.
"What the fuck? Where are my arena opponents? Where’s my glory? Where’s my domination?!"
"Kai, watch out?!"
Since Kai was on a battlefield, the people of the area were now soldiers fighting around him. This meant that Gwen, Kyana, and Osiren were on the walls of a fort that the soldiers were meant to protect.
Above Kai was a large flaming rock coming his way. He casually swatted the rock away and looked around to see where the enemy was.
"Fuck this is so lame." Kai took one step forward and forced all of his ’allies’ back. Then, with one finger, he swiped his hand, and a finger beam killed every single enemy and destroyed all of their war weapons.
Just like that, Kai’s trial ended.
"Well, I guess this is better than dealing with bugs."
"W-What the hell? Is that guy a god or something?" The announcer was now a commander leading soldiers
"Close. He’s a demigod." Kyana felt proud saying that.
"Is this trial over now?" Gwen asked
"Y-Yes. We have won this battle, men! Go and rest, you have earned it!"
After that announcement, the entire area shifted once more, and it turned into a forest. Instantly, Kyana offered to be the next one up.
"Osiren, you’re okay with me being next, right? Please let me go next!" Kyana was just happy to see some trees. It was the first time she had seen her favorite part of nature ever since coming to this continent, and she was certain it wasn’t a cactus.
"Uhh, sure." Osiren didn’t really understand why she was so adamant about going next, but he didn’t mind.
Gwen and Kai started laughing. "Be careful, it might be a cactus."
"Shut up, Kai!" Kyana hissed.
After a few minutes, the entire scene was set, and the soldiers turned into hunters, and the commander turned into a hunting instructor.
"Listen, everyone. You see that boar over there? That’s your target. If you are able to kill it, then you will move up to the next challenge. Now, who wants to go first? But before you answer, be warned, these boars are no regular animal. They can move faster than the wind and have super sharp senses."
"I’ll go!" Kyana raised her hand.
"Alright, young lady. Step forward and take your position."
She did what he asked, notched an arrow, and fired it so fast that the force tore through the ground as it eviscerated the boar.
"What the fuck?"
"How was that?" Kyana asked. "What’s the next trial?"
"Uhh. Hunting an Alpha Crazy Tiger."
"Ohhh! An Alpha Crazy Tiger! I hunted one of those when I was a hunter. Man, I miss those times. Things were simpler back then." Kai reminisced about his first time arriving in this world.
"Done!" Kyana killed the tiger with ease.
"Uhh, next is a manticore."
"Done!"
"A dragon."
"Done!"
"A demon king!"
"Done!" Kyana was stronger than the average demon king, so she was able to kill it with ease. Besides, this was an illusion, so the demon king wasn’t even real.
"Umm. That’s all I have. It’s time to move on to the next challenger."
"That’s it? I can keep hunting."
Kai made a mental note to take Kyana hunting.
"Nope, we’re moving on."
The place shifted one last time, and now it was an open void. The place looked amazing. The sky was in a state of eternal dusk, stars shone in the sky, and the ground looked wet, but it wasn’t.
The Former announcer, former commander, and former hunting instructor became the final trial, one that Osiren would have to face.
"For your last trial, you will have to face me in combat."
Osiren was already in front of the man, and the others were in some sort of world between worlds.
"Are you my ancestor?" He asked
"Heh, no. But I am one of his friends. Now, face me, Osiren."
"Yes, sir!" The prince took this battle seriously and attacked with everything he had. Tattoos glowed all over his body, his avatar form was a thin layer of protection around him, and he summoned a khopesh out of nowhere.
Osiren struck first, but the man dodged, his fist nearly connecting with the prince’s chest.
Osiren managed to dodge, but the man was too fast and was already positioned to land another attack. Blown back by a kick to the gut, Osiren tumbled and rolled, but he got up just as fast.
Golden hands of light grabbed the man, holding him in place. Osiren then dashed forward to strike once more, but his avatar’s hands shattered, and a fist connected with his face.
However, he did not give up. Each time Osiren fell, he got back up with more determination and vigor. He would not fall and would not allow himself to lose. He knew that all of his people were counting on him, and he would make them proud.
"I WILL DEFEAT YOU!" Osiren lept into the air, his blade burning a bright golden light. He channeled all his power into this one final attack and swung down with all of his might.
"Good job, Osiren. You would make your ancestor proud." The man allowed himself to be cut in half. His body started glowing, then vanished into particles of light, traveling into the orb.
"The first trial is complete."
