The Hero of Hypnosis-Chapter 373: Is that a fucking sand snake?
The second trial was a lot easier than the first one. It was simply a game of trivia, similar to the test in the first temple. Osiren was able to figure it out pretty easily since the contents of the trial were something his mother and father would talk about when explaining their family history.
The third trial, though, was when things started getting kind of tricky.
While the trial itself wasn’t difficult, an endurance test, it’s what happened during the trial that made it difficult.
You see, Leo watches everything Kai does, minus his love-making sessions, and likes to troll...a lot. And so, during the third trial, Leo tried to troll Kai.
"KAI!"
"HOLD ON!" Kai was aggressively tapping his status window
"KAI PLEASE!"
"I’M TRYING!" He was pressing his demigod preset so hard that he thought the status window would break.
"KAI, I SWEAR IF YOU DON’T DO ANYTHING, I’M NOT HAVING SEX WITH YOU AGAIN!"
"LEO! WHY ARE YOU FUCKING WITH ME YOU BASTARD!"
A massive snake was chasing all of them, and it was eating through the sand. They were teleported to a remote place in the desert and had to run for their lives.
Now, this normally wouldn’t scare any of them. However, Gwen, Kyana, and Osiren’s powers were restructured by Rauna’s divine power.
This left Kai as the person who could do something, except Leo practically deactivated his powers because he thought that Kai’s existence made the trials too easy.
Now, Kai was an ordinary person with not enough strength to help himself or his girls.
"You fucking bitch! I wont talk to you ever again! And you wont have access to my children!"
Osiren was taken aback. "You have children?"
"He has ten with a lot more on the way," Gwen answered.
"Ten? Well, you are a demigod, so that checks out. But why aren’t you using your power to save us? And who is Leo?"
"Leo is his dad, a supreme god, and he is probably messing with Kai right now to see how he will handle the situation."
"Fine!" Kai shouted. "You wanna be like that? I’ll play at your game!" Kai stopped running and turned around.
"Kai, what are you doing?" Gwen ran back to force him to keep running, but he didn’t budge.
"Since Leo is being a bitch, I’ll have him suffer the consequences. Now, run away, Gwen."
"Ugh, fine."
’Dude, what are you doing?’
"Messing up your plan!"
’You know that snake is going to eat you, right?’
"I’m letting it eat me."
’You’re dumb.’
"I must take after you then."
The snake slithered closer and closer until its massive maw covered the sky and swallowed Kai whole.
Kyana dropped to her knees. "Noooo! Kaiiii!"
"Get up, girl, he’s not dead."
"But he was eaten. I can’t lose my tree bark!"
"Do you see him as a tree? What the hell?"
The inside of the snake smelled like rotten eggs. Bones filled its stomach, and the stomach acid bubbled constantly.
"Are you happy now?" Leo appeared next to Kai. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Fuck off and give me back my powers."
"Man, you’re no fun. I just wanted to see what you would do with your powers removed."
Kai tried to punch Leo in the face, but he slipped and fell into the stomach acid. Fortunately, Leo had given him back his divinity, so he wasn’t affected one bit. He was just extremely dirty.
"I’ve lived my entire life without powers and thought I died when I saved that dumb bitch from getting run over. Turns out my father was a god, and I actually didn’t die, and I also have powers. Tell me, why would I suddenly want to go back to that time?"
"I don’t know?"
"Because you’re a fucking dumbass, that’s why. No more grandchildren for you." Kai stomped on the snake’s guts, causing it to blow up from the inside, splitting the snake in half.
"My baby! You’re alive!" Kyana ran over to him and hugged him tightly.
"Kai, check it out. She thinks of you as a tree!"
"Huh, no wonder you always rub on me like the way you do when we’re sleeping."
"K-Kai," Osiren called out to him, panting heavily. "Did you get the orb?"
"Yeah, here." He tossed it to the prince, then the area shifted back to the temple.
The three orbs floated in the air, then merged together.
"That was different from last time." Osiren pointed out.
"Let’s get out of here now." Kai teleported all of them back to the surface and saw that the quarry was completely evacuated.
Osiren started absorbing the orb, and Horisis ran up to them.
"How were the trials? You guys were gone for a few hours."
"Annoying." Gwen took a seat.
"It wasn’t that bad." Kyana was just happy that she got to see some trees.
"It sucked." Kai’s expierence was ruined by his father.
"..." Osiren didn’t answer since he was busy getting stronger.
"So, anything go wrong while we were away?" Kai asked
"Nope. Everything went perfectly fine. There were some reinforcements that came, but I was able to deal with them. Other than that, I managed to safely escort the people to a nearby village."
"That’s good to hear. So, what’s next on the list of things to do? We’re king of breezing through this fast." Kai by no means was upset that their adventure was going by quickly, but he at least wanted to explore a bit more before continuing.
Horisia shrugged her shoulders. "We had three main goals for the eastern part of the continent: Find the two temples, liberate all villages, towns, and cities, and finally, bring the eastern side under our control so we can start moving toward the western side."
Kai understood. "So there are still a few more things to be done. Also, we need to find that relic as well."
Horisia nodded. "I think it’s time we head to Sunspot City. It’s one of the two cities on the eastern side and handles all trade and ports from the western side. If we can take control of that place, then our strength will increase drastically."
"Sounds like a plan then."
