The Hero of Hypnosis-Chapter 387: The Eastern side has been liberated
"MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! DIE, DIE, DIE! Carlfeina shouted as she continued to blast Kai with torrents of energy.
"Man, that scared the shit out of me. I expected you to be in shock because I killed your monsters, but then BOOM, an energy beam was coming my way. I was not expecting that." Kai started absorbing the energy like it was nothing and flew closer to Carlfeina.
"W-What’s going on? How can you take this attack without getting hurt?! That’s impossible!"
"Well, do you want the long story or the short story?"
She didn’t even understand how Kai could be so casual at a time like this.
"T-The short story." She responded.
"Well, my father was the one who created that energy you’re using. He sent me here to absorb it so mortals, like you, wouldn’t get too ahead of themselves."
"Mortals?"
"Yeah. I’m a demigod. In fact, Rauna herself called me here so I can help liberate her land. Pretty cool, huh?"
"No!" If what Kai said was true, then Carlfeina knew she was going to die. She didn’t expect a demigod to appear and wasn’t equipped to fight one. Currently, she was giving this fight everything she had, and seeing how he was just tanking it like a boss, she knew her time had come.
"Can I at least try to run away?" She begged.
"Sure." Kai allowed it.
The moment she attempted to fly away, Kai crushed her entire body and destroyed her soul. Then, he absorbed all of the progenitor decay that was in her body.
"Gotta be faster than that."
"Baby," Sasha called out to Kai.
"Hmm? What’s up?"
"We got everyone out of there. Turns out that the resistance was caught and experimented on." She explained while helping people out of the hole Kai created.
"Huh, I forgot about them, to be honest."
Gwen told Kai something, but he didn’t catch it as a man had started to talk over to him.
A man with a demon arm walked over to Kai and held out his hand. "Thank you for saving us. We really appreciate it. My name is--"
"Hold on, let me guess. I’m thinking Karlomothew? Huh? Am I right?"
"Uhh, no, I’m Jim."
There was an awkward silence that hung in the air between the two of them until Kai spoke up.
"So, uhh, I’m glad you’re okay...I guess."
’You did that on purpose, didn’t you?!’ Kai called out to his father.
’I swear to god I had nothing to do with this.’
’Bitch! Don’t swear to yourself!’
’Ohhh shit! Haha! I did just do that, didn’t I?’
"Ugh. So, where’s the rest of the resistance that was supposed to liberate this city? You were a part of the team Sekmala sent, right?"
"Yes." Jim nodded. "We arrived here and got to work right away. We investigated, helped people, and made sure to set up everything for this city’s liberation. However, we were tricked by a woman who cried for help."
"Ahh, you ran into that woman. Yeah, what a total bitch. Don’t worry, I killed her."
"O-Oh. T-That’s great, I guess."
"Hmm, that arm might be uncomfortable, right? Let me heal that for you." Kai clapped his hands twice, and a healing aura surrounded everyone who was experimented on.
The demonic features their body once had were now gone, and they were back to their normal selves.
"My face! My face is back!"
"I don’t have chicken feet anymore!"
"I can speak! I CAN SPEAK!"
"Aw man, I actually licked my large demon dick. Can you give that back to me?"
Kai ignored him.
"You go ahead and head back to the headquarters; my team and I will handle the rest."
"Are you sure?" Jim was ready to help with anything, and there was a part inside him that wanted to make up for his failure to complete his mission.
"Yeah, don’t worry. We got this. Right team?" Kai turned to his girls and noticed that they weren’t there anymore.
"The fuck? Where did they go?"
"What do you mean?" Jim asked
"My girls, the people who rescued you all. Where did they go?"
"Uhh, they said that they were going to kill the soldiers and demons in the city."
"What? When did they say that?"
"Before I started talking to you."
Kai checked his memories, and he had no recollection of that one bit. All he remembered was Sasha calling out to him, responding to what she said, and then Jim started speaking to him.
"Yeah, I got nothing. I don’t remember that at all."
"The woman with the red hair. She said that all of them, she and her companions, will liberate the city. She said this to you right before you started speaking to me."
"Wow. Well, okay then."
"Hey, Kai, we’re back." Gwen tossed the head of a demon on the ground in front of him.
"Did you have fun?"
"Oh yeah. It was nice to burn off some steam. There was a demon lord here."
That took Kai off guard. He didn’t sense a demon lord when they arrived in the city. Then again, he wasn’t trying to sense any powers when they arrived, and the demon lord was probably keeping a low profile.
"Were they a woman or a man?" He asked
"Is that an important question?" Jim wondered
"Absolutely."
Gwen rolled her eyes. "It was a man, thankfully."
"Damn. Unfortunate. Whatever."
"Excuse me, sir Kai. Now that Novahelm is liberated, will you be coming back to the resistance with us?"
"Yeah, why?" He asked Jim.
"I was hoping you would be able to give us a ride there. Our sand sailer has been confiscated and is most likely destroyed. It will take days to reach Dunross if we travel on foot. The desert can be dangerous as well."
"Oh, you don’t have to worry about that. We have our own method of transportation." Kai smirked
"What is it?"
Instead of responding, Kai teleported his girls and the resistance members back to the resistance headquarters, right in the middle of the meeting room.
"Teleportation." Kai finally answered.
