The Hero of Hypnosis-Chapter 450: Kai’s invitation to the Royal family

"King Louis, congratulations on your recovery." A man and his family bowed, showing their respect. "We have brought you this as a gift."

The king was handed the gift, and he was impressed. It was a rare magic staff with the core of a dragon, which could amplify magic tenfold.

"Wow! What an amazing gift! I can’t wait to use this!" The king handed it to his attendant so he could put it with the rest of his gifts.

One by one, every family invited to the party gave the king a gift. Some were lame, others were decent, and a few were spectacular. But being a good man, the king was happy and thankful for every gift and only showed gratitude even if the gift was shit.

Eventually, it became time for the Nord family to present their gifts.

"It is an honor to stand before you once more, King Louis." Axel bowed.

"Haha! Lord Axel! I heard that your daughter’s personal attendant has been changing the structure of the kingdom while I was out of it." The king bellowed with laughter.

"You jest, my King. Sir Kai has only been looking out for my family’s best interest while supporting his highness Prince Henry." Axel put everything on Henry to have a person to back him.

Thanks to that, it would seem like Prince Henry was the reason behind Kai’s actions.

"Very well. So, what gift did you bring for me today?"

"We present to you, umm, what did he call it again?" Axel asked his wife.

"Umm, a super duper cannon?" She wasn’t too sure herself.

"No, it was definitely called a wanker spanker," Beryl said with a straight face.

"What? No, he didn’t. He called it a mega shooter."

"Oh! I got it! He called it an ejaculator!"

Everyone turned to Benjamin and gave him that look, the one where you know the person is a dumbass, but you can only shake your head and move on.

"It’s called the energon hand cannon." Kai joined in.

"What is this energon hand cannon?" King Louis asked, intrigued by the name of his gift.

"It’s a glove that allows you to blast anyone whom you don’t like to smithereens!" Kai spoke up. "You don’t like that guy? BOOM! He’s dead! This man over here said some bullshit? KaBOOM! Gone! You can deliver the ashes to their family as a way to say fuck you!"

Everyone was shocked that someone would speak casually to the king like this and even mention killing people. Then again, they all knew that Kai was the reason why one family wasn’t able to attend this party tonight.

"Ohhh! That’s pretty interesting! Can I try it out?" The king asked

"Hell yeah." Kai tossed him the glove. He didn’t hand it to him or give it to the King’s attendant. He tossed the glove to him.

Again, he shocked people with his actions, but he didn’t care. It’s not like they could do anything to him anyway.

King Louis put the glove on, and instantly, he knew how to use it. Information rushed to his head, and once his mind was filled with everything he needed to know, he gasped.

"Wow! This is fucking great!" The king didn’t even care about his language. He wanted to test out this glove right now.

"Guards! Bring me a death row prisoner. One who is at least in the 8th tier of power."

"Y-Yes, your Majesty." The guards quickly left, retrieving a death row prisoner, then made it back to the party just as fast.

"An audience with the king, huh? How fortunate I am." The prisoner smirked.

"Shut up, bitch. I’m about to test this new glove on you. Undo his restraints." The king demanded

"But your Majesty, that’s dangerous."

"Who are you to question me?"

"M-My apologies." The guard removed the restraints, and the prisoner welcomed all the mana that flooded his body.

"Hahahahaha! What a foolish king you are! You’re going to regret—" The prisoner didn’t even have time to finish his speech because a beam of light from the King’s glove raced his way.

The prisoner created the most powerful and defensive barrier he was able to, but the beam of light just tore through it as if it were paper. When the prisoner was struck with the beam, he was literally vaporized into nothing.

"HOLY SHIT!"

Everyone shared the same reaction. But most importantly, they all shared the same fear, or greed.

Some nobles didn’t wish to get on the King’s bad side now that he had this weapon on top of being a tier-7 mage. But others wondered how they could get their hands on this weapon, or one like it. They couldn’t steal this from the king, so their eyes turned to another person, Kai.

"Pwahahaha! What an amazing gift. Kai, you—" The king coughed violently, blood staining his hand as he felt his body become weak once again.

"Dear!" The queen rushed to his side, checking up on her husband.

"I-I’m fine. Just a bit weak. I don’t feel as bad as I did before."

’Hmm? Progenitor Decay? What the hell, man?! Why is that fucking energy everywhere! Isn’t that shit supposed to kill mortals?’

Kai walked over to the king, touched his head to everyone’s surprise and horror, then absorbed the Progenitor Decay from his body.

"How dare you touch—"

"Stop!" The king demanded his guard. "H-He, healed me! I feel amazing! No, I feel better than amazing! I feel alive again!"

The king felt as if he had aged backward twenty years. He was only in his 50s, and Kai not only healed him but put him physically in his prime again.

"Kai! You’re a miracle worker! Oh, and good job on killing the Carlenfor Family. I hated those guys." He was referring to the ducal family Karumi slaughtered. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

"Thanks, I guess. Anyway, I’m leaving now."

"Wait! Kai of House Nord, after everything you’ve done for this kingdom, I, King Louis Veston Vanaheim, grant you the title of Lord, and I shall wed you to my only daughter, Elizabeth Vestom Vanaheim."

Now that was an extreme power play. Kai was getting the title of a lord and was to marry the king’s daughter. What else could a man ask for?

Everyone couldn’t believe what they had just heard. There goes their chance at getting something out of Kai.

Kai took in the king’s words, nodding his head. "Nah."
