After speaking his mind, people avoided Kai. They didn’t avoid him as if he were a plague or something, but they avoided him because they didn’t want to upset him.

It took everything they had in them not to walk up to him since he was literally walking treasure, but they held back, not giving in to their desires.

However, there was one person who didn’t listen to Kai’s wishes and walked up to him. This was none other than the first prince himself, James Veston Vanaheim.

He strode up to Kai with a confidence that no one was able to copy, using his status as the prince to disregard the personal feelings of Kai.

"Hello, Sir Kai. It is an honor to finally meet you." He said with a smile that masked a smirk on his face. His hand was out for a handshake, expecting Kai to reciprocate the gesture.

Kai looked at the guy, clearly annoyed, and didn’t even shake the guy’s hand. He knew that Prince James had heard what he had said to those people earlier and was trying to make a scene to put Kai in his place because there was no way he would ignore the prince.

"I’m pretty sure I asked to be left alone. Do you think you’re an exception to that rule?" Kai’s voice was deep and serious. There was no respect or hint of his usual happy self.

Even Karumi openly chuckled at Prince James’s arrogance.

"Surely you wouldn’t turn away the prince, right? I came here with an offer. I’ve noticed your strength, and I would very much like to help you cultivate it to even greater heights. With my aid, I can not only make you stronger, but also give you a high position amongst my men. What do you say?"

"Hmm. Your offer seems a bit tempting."

Prince James got excited upon hearing Kai’s words.

"But how strong can you make me?" Kai asked

"Way stronger than you are right now. In the palace, we have thousands of records that date back thousands of years in the art of magic cultivation." James said excitedly. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"I see. So, can your knowledge make me as strong as a god?" Kai’s words make the whole banquet room go silent. No one would dare say such a thing, especially not in the royal palace.

"I...well, I don’t know about that. But it can make you significantly stronger than your current state." James said with a bead of sweat dripping down his face.

"But I want to be as strong as a god right now. No, I want to be a god. So if you can’t make me a god, then I have no use speaking to you." Kai returned to doing what he was doing.

James got annoyed and raised his voice. "Do you even know what you’re saying? You want to be on the level of Goddess Frostina? That’s blasphemy."

Kai smirked. "Is it? Frostina, get down here."

She appeared quicker than anyone could even notice. "You called?"

"Yeah. Now bow."

She gritted her teeth. "Kai, do you need to do such a thing? These are my people."

"Don’t worry, I’m trying to make a point. So, bow."

She sighed, getting on her knees to bow.

"Now, James. Your goddess is bowing before me, yet that’s because of the status of my father. Yeah, I’m spoiled, and I’m using my father’s name to make her do this. But I’m not a god, only a demigod. So, let me ask you once more. Can you make me as strong as a god?"

It was natural that he wouldn’t answer. Hell, everyone was in shock because their goddess had just descended and bowed in front of Kai. If that wasn’t the biggest power play ever, then birds also can’t fly.

"Heh, figures. Alright, you can go, Frostina." Kai waved his hand

"Thank you. And please do as you said."

"I will."

The moment she left, Kai wiped everyone’s minds and returned them to the point where Kai asked if James could make him a god. The only people who kept their memories were Karumi and Charlotte. He wanted to know how Charlotte would react to things later.

James got annoyed and raised his voice. "Do you even know what you’re saying? You want to be on the level of Goddess Frostina? That’s blasphemy."

Kai busted out laughing. He didn’t expect James to say the same thing he said earlier because it wasn’t like he reversed time or anything. But to everyone else, it made Kai look as if he were crazy.

So, he just went along with it and used his mana to put pressure on everyone at the party.

"Tell me. Can you make me stronger than I already am?"

James couldn’t answer because he felt as if his guts were getting crushed, especially when he had been slammed to the ground thanks to Kai’s mana pressure. Everyone else was just unbalanced but were able to stand since the pressure wasn’t as intense on them.

Kai released his mana. "Fuck off, bitch."

James was furious, but he was just shown how powerless he was, so he had to bite his tongue. Now, people were happy that they were able to restrain themselves and not speak to Kai after he asked them not to.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, King Louis and Queen Victoria Veston Vanaheim!"

The King and Queen both walked into the room, walking down a flight of stairs as they greeted everyone.

Nobles, Knights, Prostigous Merchants, and other important people were here to congratulate the King on waking up after being sick and his birthday, which had passed a few days ago.

"Thank you, everyone. I appreciate you all for being here with me today. I’m sure you all know that I have been sick for a while. But a few days ago, I woke up, feeling better than ever. Now look at me, I can jump!"

Everyone laughed.

Kai instantly knew what type of King he was. He was sure that the third prince, Henry, was his favorite.

"Now that this party has started, give me all of your gifts! I’m dying to open them! Wait, I actually don’t wanna die. I’m aliving to open them! Yeah, that’s much better."
