I sat on Bethany’s bed as she packed her things into her box. She was having mixed feelings as to why she had to leave the room that we had shared for the past couple of months. She was kind of annoyed because she felt she had been moving anyhow but she was also pleased that I begged Jax for Devon to share the room with her. This meant that I would be giving up my space in her new room.

"I honestly do not like Claire. How can something like that happen and she didn’t even think to inform anyone?!" Bethany said as she dumped a few of her clothes into her box. "That was so careless of her. That was major information. Imagine if that guard didn’t report to Micah?"

"My thoughts exactly. Claire has just been shady about all of this. I don’t even know what Jax is going to do about it. He seems riled up and I’ve been trying to get him to calm down." I said and she groaned as she went back to pulling her things off the hangers.

"I hate that I am moving. I honestly do not like it. I like being in one place." Bethany said and I sighed. I understood her feelings. She had lived in the staff quarters all her life and she only moved because of me and now she was having to move again because of Luke.

"On the bright side, you and Devon don’t have to sneak around." I said with a cheeky smile and I watched as her cheeks turned read. "Speaking of Devon, he should be here any moment from now."

"You know this is big for us. I mean, moving in together. It’s like our relationship is getting real." She said as she held her clothes tightly to her chest. "In a way, I’m happy about it but it also feels like we’re being pushed into it."

"It doesn’t have to be for a long time. It’s just until we find Luke and weed out his accomplice." I explained to her. "Think of it as a mini vacation with your mate. And we are going to be beside each other so it’s going to be more fun."

"That’s the only reason why I’ll agree to this. We can have our own little sleepover while the boys have theirs." She suggested and I smiled. I knew Jax would not agree to a boys night out. He wasn’t exactly a friendly person and I knew he didn’t think of Devon as a close friend. More of an acquaintance because of his relationship with Bethany.

"Let’s hope Jax lets me out of his sight." I said as someone knocked on the door. I got out of the bed and headed to the door. I opened it and Devon entered with a box. "Your Prince Charming is here!" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"Oh baby." Bethany said as she dropped her clothes and threw herself into Devon’s arms. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you too." He said as he picked her up and spun her around. "When I told my parents that I had to come and stay here to protect you, they were giving me this funny look. Don’t be shocked when they start about babies."

"Don’t they understand what’s going on?!" Bethany shrieked and I almost laughed. It was so funny that she was going to start feeling the pressure that I felt a while ago.

"My parents are very traditional. I thought you knew that." He said and she pulled away from him. She went back to pack her things, this time she was a lot faster than before. "Do you need my help?" He asked as he walked over to the closet. He started pulling off her clothes without waiting for her reply. They seemed so in sync and I loved it. I loved that Bethany found someone who matched her energy. I watched as they both took off her clothes and they began to arrange it into her box.

By the time they were done, I was tired and hungry and I really needed a massage from Jax. Jax was exceptionally gifted with his hands and I was extremely looking forward to spending some time with him.

"Let me take you to your room." I announced as they lifted Bethany’s huge box off the floor. I opened the door and they both walked out, pulling their box behind them. I closed the door behind me and walked in front of them. I led them over to the room next to Jax and I’s room. I was really excited for what would happen next. Bethany and I would definitely use this to our advantage. This would mean that we would spend a lot of time together. Even more than we used to.

"I just remembered our little weekend away." I said and I glanced at the both of them. "I just hope you wouldn’t make Jax and I carve out our ears."

"Let’s not even get into that, you dirty dog." Bethany clapped back and I laughed. "You kept us up for a long time. I was scarred. You should even be apologizing to the both of us."

"We will not be scarring you for a while." I said and gave Bethany a wink. She knew what I was talking about. "Here we are." I said as I stopped in front of the room. "Welcome to your home for the next couple of weeks. Hopefully it will be forever."

"Don’t push it or jinx it." Bethany wanted as I opened the door. They both entered into the room and I followed suit.

"Do you think they’re going to find Luke?" Devon asked me and I shrugged. There was so much information that I didn’t know and I knew Jax was keeping it from me. "You don’t need to worry though, our guards and warriors are the strongest in this vicinity."

I hoped so if not, it wouldn’t just be Jax and I that would suffer.
