"Miss Yang, you are needed."

When she heard those words from Xia Lian, she knew it was Fu Mingze who wanted to see her, so she stood up gracefully and went to his office.

After taking a deep breath, she knocked softly on the door and heard his deep voice saying "Come in."

Yang Meiyi opened the door and saw Fu Mingze looking at the big view in his office, he slowly turned to her and Yang Meiyi was surprised when she saw no anger or any form of emotions in his eyes and that was not good.

"Why are you here?" Fu Mingze finally asked after being quiet for some time.

Meiyi gathered all her courage and replied, "To win you back."

"Am I like a toy to you Meiyi?" Fu Mingze asked with a frown.

"What? Of course not."

"When you don’t need me you throw me aside and when you feel you need me you come back looking for me, hoping to be in the same place you tossed me at."

"That isn’t true."

"You said what you felt for me was a childish infatuation and then you refused to sign the divorce papers. After spending two years in the US you are now back, you bribed and perhaps even threatened your way up here, and don’t even deny it, I know you Meiyi. What I don’t understand is why. You said to win me back as if I’m a prize to you."

"Mingze..."

"It’s been two years Meiyi. My feelings for you are no longer the same and I’m sure by now you must have ridden yourself of whatever infatuation you have for me."

"I didn’t mean any of those things I said two years ago."

"Two months after you left, I found out your address in the US, I didn’t know why but I went there and when I got to your house, I saw Zhang Chun entering your house and he never came out. Whatever feelings I had for you died that day as well." Fu Mingze said calmly. Though he was calm on the outside he felt anger and pain inside him. That day he felt betrayed, it was as if someone stabbed a knife in his heart and just kept twisting it. He stayed outside of her house throughout the night and watched as Zhang Chun left in the morning. He left as well and vowed to kill whatever feelings he had left for her.

Yang Meiyi was surprised at what he was saying, Zhang Chun only stayed with her because her doctor had diagnosed her with severe depression and said she would need to be watched 24/7.

"Is it money, is that why you are here? Fine, if you sign the divorce papers I will give you two billion yuan. Is that enough or do you want more, a company, land..."

"You. I don’t want anything else other than you."

Fu Mingze clenched his hands that were in his pocket and the sincerity in her eyes made him confused, but he would never believe a word she says.

"I don’t love you anymore Meiyi so just stop whatever you think you are doing and go back to the States."

Yang Meiyi looked at him in silence and walked towards him, she stood in front of him and tiptoed as she whispered close to his lips "I don’t believe you."

Fu Mingze’s breath hitched for a moment when he felt her breath on his lips. He immediately composed himself and glared at her while saying "You want to work here, then fine, be my secretary, but I promise you this Meiyi, you will not even last a month in Fu group."

"Challenge Accepted." Yang Meiyi said with a smile. She took two steps back and said "If that is all then I will take my leave Mr Fu, but I have a request. If I last in Fu group for a month then you have to listen to me, it was never my own will to leave you two years ago, I didn’t have a choice."

Fu Mingze looked at her and coldly replied "Send Xia Lian to me on your way out."

Yang Meiyi smiled sadly as she said "Yes sir."

"So you are saying your sister took back the resort from you on her first day in Country M?" Gu Zhen asked with a smile.

Yang Jia, who was dressed in a bath robe frowned when she saw Gu Zhen smile and said "You think this is funny?"

"I think I was wrong about your sister. Who would have thought that being in the state would change her that much."

"Well I don’t like the change, just thinking about her makes me so angry. I can’t stand her." Yang Jia said in anger.

Gu Zhen chuckled and buttoned up his shirt.

When Yang Jia saw his actions she asked "Are you leaving?"

"Yes, I promise Nie Yujie that I will take her out for dinner today."

"You promised Nie Yujie? Are you being serious right now? Gu Zhen, why do I feel that you are starting to have feelings for that woman, don’t forget that your engagement with her is fake."

"You are overreacting Yang Jia and even if I am beginning to have feelings for her, that’s my business. Rather than focusing on these things, you should keep an eye on that sister of yours. If she were to ever find out that it was you who killed her mother then you would not only be losing a resort but everything." Gu Zhen said and kissed her on her cheek before leaving.

Yang Jia glared at the closed door in anger and smashed the glass of wine on the floor. For so many years Gu Zhen has only loved her but it was as if something in him changed when he found out that she killed Sang Xiu, she thought he was fine with it after all he even helped her in covering the crime so why was he behaving this way? Why does he always go back to Nie Yujie? She has even caught him smiling when he was speaking to her, that smile was the smile he always gave to her, so why was he giving it to someone else? No, she can’t let this happen. Gu Zhen is the only one who truly loves her and she will not lose him to a naive and stupid rich princess named Nie Yujie. Perhaps it’s time for her to do something to ensure that Gu Zhen never leaves her.
