Triple X System-Chapter 175: Time capsule
Finally.. some light. It had been a couple of minutes since the peer descent into the dark hole. As a demon he owned enhanced eyesight. Enabling him to see in the dark, but for some reason he was blind as a bat.
My vision is being hindered by this person, just how powerful is he? He gritted his teeth about to receive his answer protruding from the end of what seemed like a bottomless hole.
Where are we? Looking round it was like they’d been transported to an entirely different landscape. Unlike the scorching desert and plain terrains this new surrounding posed a rockier terrain.
With hard barren floors, several crack lines running along it. There were hills in sight along with some 2 story sized boulders. Standing at a towering height, stretched across the land.
How is this possible, there’s no sun. no matter where he looked there wasn’t a single sun in sight. Only a single big ball of red flames that resembled that of a dying sun. casting an ethereal red light across the horizon down to the land.
[according to my readings, lumia planet isn’t capable of morphing a sub geo-planet due to its infused radiant molecular core, preventing any new creations.] snow softly spoke with a professional outlook of the planets orbital core.
So, you’re saying this is still a generated space? It was one thing to believe the sand dogs were something generated from someone but another to believe an entirely undiscovered miniature world was also created by such individual.
But doesn’t that mean it’s a god were going up against. There was no other explanation he could use to describe such individual capable of such feat.
The path to power was determined by one’s destiny and willpower. Though he never believed such it was a common concept actuated in stories about demons, gods and heroines. But one thing was for sure a weakling wouldn’t be able to pulls such stunt.
[its true, this is an entirely different world with its own core. Which am betting is that huge worn-out red ball. And while its mainly possible to be a god’s domain I wouldn’t say it is.]
[firstly, while gods are transcendent beings not all are solely able to create a world. To do so requires various complex steps which takes time. Not including the resources needed like energy for sustainment and so on. The second being not all gods are suitable for such tasks. Beings transcendent doesn’t entirely give you the ability to generate planets at the snap of your fingers.]
[and lastly while the possibility of gods creating planets isn’t ruled out. It mainly includes those whom abilities are related to planet integration or creation of life itself.]
Listening to snow he couldn’t argue she was right. While gods were high and mighty they were still limited to some factors.
Back on earth scientists were perplexed over the solar system, never really finding out how planets are formed. Though it is believed they are remnants of stars which then form overtime through gravitational attraction and collisions.
Like all living things needed energy to survive so did a planet. But differently.. which led to the question how mana came to existence and how it spread across planets.
[unfortunately, I myself am unable to answer such question]. Snow butted in reading his thoughts.
Hmm.. I see. So that’s its core, but why does it looks so weak. He could sense the energy released from the red ball was low equivalent to a dying flame. Unlike the vibrant flare he’d anticipated.
[because it destabilizing. Though this might be a submerged world it lacks the resources needed to sustain it making it not completed and unstable.]
I see you’re amazed by my little work of art. A voice pulled them from their gazes. Looking they could see a young woman dressed in common attire. Having purple hair, with the deceptive wooden staff in her clutch.
By her side was none other than lumia. Chained by a special type of purple chain glowing with raw energy which belonged to the former. There were several cuts made to her body, blood blemishing her elegant dress.
Its her, there’s no doubt. A tingling sensation washed over his body face to face with this woman. A purple aura much darker than Lumia’s surrounding her. Her attitude was calm yet cold, demanding dominance and respect.
[kyle, this person is not to be taking likely in the slightest. Her aura is higher than that of troy’s and that staff she wields emits a fraction of some forgotten ancient energy.] snow warned and he could sense the urgency in her tone. Almost like that of fear of this young woman with an older resemblance of lumia.
You’re lynn right? He calmy asked trying to initiate a conversation in attempt to buy enough time for snow.
Of course.. am surprised he mentioned me to you. A light chuckle escaped her lips but kyle could sense the killing intent behind that smile.
He didn’t. well, not really. But from the looks of things, seems like you’ve been rejected. Kyle indifferently poked a hole. Hearing that the sly grin faded replaced with a frown.
Ouch. I knew you were a filthy peasant but I didn’t except such rude behavior. Stretching her hand kyle instinctively moved from his spot but it didn’t matter. As an overwhelming force weighed on him pushing him to his knees.
Such force, she isn’t controlling the air like troy. Recalling his fight with the king whenever he activated a skill the air would change to his command. Bending to his will like a loyal servant taking whatever shape he pleased.
But he didn’t detect the air change with lynn. More like an entirely different force was pinning him down against his will.
e-evil woman bully kyle! Xia yelled already moving out along with ron. Closing the distance between them and the intimidating prescence in front.
So predictable and annoying..
pentagon prison. a purple star shaped rune encased in a pentagon materialized before xia and ron feet making them stop in their tracks. Struggling their bodies was irresponsive glued to the spot.
That rune its like some sort of space prison. he thought with a pale expression staring at the pentagon prison covering a distance of a 5-meter radius.
Oh no.. her ability, she can manipulate space and reality. It was so obvious from the way she manifested such propelling force with a simple gesture of her hand. The possibility of it being an easy mission taking a drastic turn of events with this sudden realization.
Tell me peasant why would my father entrust the safety of both his daughter to you. From my knowledge you don’t possess a high aura nor any backup. She smiled with an intrigued gaze.
Not responding kyle managed to tilt his head to the side pinpointing the katanas location.
I can’t reach it. The distance separating him from the weapon was about 6 feet. But it didn’t matter as he first had to get out of this crushing force.
Somethings not right. A peasant? Ha.. that old power obsessed monster wouldn’t be stupid enough to entrust him. Lynn pondered with a conflicted look.
Knowing her father he would rather ally with his worst enemy than a peasant so why would he do so now.
Wait.. weren’t there- unable to finish her words an object sprung from beneath her heading straight for her head.
Nice try. She smirked stopping the spike with her bare hand vanishing from spot. Appearing just besides kyle in her hand was none other than the mimic.
Feisty.. your aura isn’t that of beast nor man. Who created you?
Grll!
Not going to talk huh? Well.. I can fix that. Placing the staff close to the mimic the goo surrounding its body shuddered. Vibrating in a static motion slowly shedding some parts.
Grahh! Struggling to break free its effort proved futile as it could only growl in pain. A large portion of its body already filtered away to the ground. With more following more rapidly.
She’s going to kill it. He didn’t think the mimic could die having being reborn from the power of his parent’s black goo. But it was only a fraction of seconds left before nothing was left of it.
Filthy. Waving her hands, the goo flung back in a straight line. It was a simple motion but kyle felt it. The space itself bending to the will of this woman.
Hurry up snow. He silently prayed attempting to stand but his legs were no match for the undying force.
Thud! In his moments of desperation a soft thud reached his ears. Looking he saw it was none other than the strange black cube from the castle.
Interesting.. lynn smirked pointing the staff towards the tilting black cube. A small blast of purple energy shot forth in a straight line directed at the cube.
Bam! The attack hit creating a small explosion, erecting up insufficient dust. Which soon settled revealing a hidden surprise.
It isn’t destroyed? Lynns confident smile faded into a frown witnessing the black cube survive a blast from the staff.
Shaking violently the small cube projected a high-pitched sound momentarily deafening everyone. Including lynn deactivating whatever skills used.
Bang! The cube burst open releasing a projected blue energy blast upwards forcing everyone to avert their sights from the blinding light.
[I hope this will be enough..] snows voice echoed in his head followed by a sudden surge in his core.
[hidden object time capsule has been used.. Time barrier activated!]
[for a limited period of 10 minutes all time related skills activated will be inactive and preexisting ones nullified.]
The system notification flashed before his eyes along with several others.
[system protocol has been overridden; host is genes has been updated.]
[all mana skills have now been unlocked!]
