[it’s a trap!] snow yelled, but it was already too late. Like a command his demon energy was being sucked into the orb along with his mana. Glowing more brightly in contrast to receiving more energy.

I-i can’t stop. He grunted trying to severe the tie but couldn’t. Helplessly defenseless as whatever little demon energy and mana he had left depleted into the purple orb.

Against his will his sense of time faded, being transported back to reality.

What happened? He questioned with a blank expression, still unsure what transpired. It was a simple insert and retract, which played out perfectly in his mind. Having done it a couple of times, so there wasn’t meant to be any complications.

Mh-mm. confused? I get that a lot. A she-devil voice pulled him from his thoughts.

In front was none other than lynn, with a mocking smirk tugging at the corners of her lip. By her side was lumia, shackled in purple chains with a clog placed in her mouth.

They failed.. his heart faltered realizing with no doubt who the victor was.

The once rocky plains filled with multiple crack lines and several craters formed in testament to the gruesome battle which recently took place.

You know.. I was worried at first, seeing my father sent a group of peasant freaks. Then I thought, what was he driving at? Lynn softly uttered stopping in front of kyle.

Move dammit. He inwardly screamed trying to lift his arms but his body was unresponsive to his commands. His hand and legs bounded by the same purple chains holding lumia.

Drawing strength from his body leaving him in a weak and vulnerable state.

At first I thought you were the sacrificial diversion. You know, to pave way for the independent course. Then I realized he was actually serious. She awkwardly chuckled a wild look beaming in her pupils.

I mean it’s hilarious. The all great and powerful king, reduced to meddling with peasants? What a joke! Slightly shaking her head her right-hand glowed purple. Raising it the ground rose a bit, forming a small chair which she gracefully sat on.

But then I recalled he doesn’t make a move without anticipating the future. Her eyes were fixated on him like a viper. An intrigued gaze etched in them.

The stigmatic flashing of the system screen alerting his health points were being drained by the blood sucking chains.

I can detect you lying through your aura, there’s no point in denying. Releasing her clenched up fist the chains grip on kyle’s body faltered growing a bit loose.

Standing up she outstretched her hands to kyle head. I should kill you now but where’s the fun in that? Torturing would be more sublime.

Below his knees the same symbolic rune which was previously used materialized. The crushing weight infatuating his upper body face first to the ground. The immense force directed at both upside and down.

His heart throbbed in pain giving out to the reprimanding force weighing down on it. Blood seeping out from his eyes and mouth. The snapping cracks of bones echoing in pace to his low grunts. Unable to assemble any strength in his lungs to scream.

Am going to die of suffocation. One of his two hearts had already exploded filling some parts of his lungs with blood. Making it harder to breathe with such blockage preventing air passage.

I can’t hear their heartbeats. His gaze lingered on the two unconscious bodies up front. There was a faint thudding sound coming from the black monster. Indicating the heartbeat was low growing fainter with each passing second.

The second seemed to be in critical condition. Nothing as a faint sound coming from the mimic.

I should’ve evolved. He regretted his action for not taking the decision to evolve when presented to by the system.

Half a minute had passed meaning he had 30 seconds left to live. His vision was hazy with silence dawning in on him from his busted eardrums. Just when he thought he was going to die the immense force suddenly vanished.

His broken bones being reassembled along with cells forming brand new layers of flesh. Patching up injuries way faster beyond current medical technology. With the formation a second heart replacing the former.

h-how many abilities? Kyle stuttered in a low tone. He’d theorized she only possessed at most three auras. Based on the skills she displayed but he could tell this was an entirely different ability related to healing.

Why don’t you guess? She spoke with a friendly smile.

Four. Kyle uttered making her abruptly burst into laughter.

4? Wait.. you seriously thought I had 4 abilities.. haha! Am flattered. Shaking her head, she cancelled her skill seeing kyle had completely been restored.

I understand your motives for believing I posses 4 auras but you’re wrong. As hard as it seems I was indeed born with only one ability. She blurted making kyle’s eye widen.

Feeling his life rapidly draining the katana unexpectedly began rattling. Shaking in its grasp as if responding to a command of sort. The energy emitting from it growing stronger in passing seconds giving off a more darker blue ethereal glow.

Another attack from him? The thought crossed lynn’s mind watching the katana’s strange conduct. Unlike an attack the weapon didn’t outright project itself towards her or release an active skill which was strange.

It doesn’t matter I’ll just- her voice ceased feeling the atmosphere turn ice cold.

No.. she muttered seeing the katana emit an outburst of energy. Transparent blue light enveloping it as it transformed from bottom upwards. Sprouting out feet in glass heels, wearing long white stocking. Complementing the snowy white skin.

Is that? The transformation was almost complete but he could already tell who this mysterious figure was from her elegant blue dress.
