Chapter 207: Ending the invasion (1)

A thin X shaped wind slash shot out from Wheeler’s crossed hand. Hitting the dargon who blocked by crossing it’s arms together like a shield. Taking the full force of the air slash at it’s arm.

"Growl."

The dargon let out a light groan, feeling the effects of wheelers attack. Green blood dripping from the deep cut marks, made on both arms.

Putting both the beast attempted to pummel wheeler, but the latter was ready. Evading the strike and countering with a slash of his own. Hitting the beast by it’s sid, drawing out fresh blood.

Enraged the dargon twisted it’s upper body fast, catching wheeler off guard. Swiping it’s huge dark gren claw to it’s chest. Scrapping out a considerable amount of the silver liquid, along with his blood.

"Mhm~" Wheeler sharply groaned, leaping back a bit. The 3 claw marks cleaving his skin like paper.

He could feel his legs were starting to feel numb, making it hard for movement. And even his strength had also slightly decreased from the injuries sustained.

’Luckily it has only 3 fingers or the damage would probably be more severe.’ He thought sprinting forward.

Just like the rest these dargons possesed only three finger on each arm. Making that a total of six clawed fingers. But that didn’t hinder the damage caused by such brutal claws.

Closing the distance between him and the dargon, he chose not to use air slash. Keeping it as his last card for the right moment.

’Bang!’

The dargon sent out it’s massive claw, aimed for wheeler’s head. Crossing his arm he blocked, not without paying the price. Three claws marks inching into his forearm.

Gritting his teeth through the pain, he released multiple of slashes. With his transformed silver sickle arms, aimed at the dargon’s chest.

"Roar!"

It roared with a pained expression, attempting to kick wheeler away. Ducking wheeler spun his body, using the momentum to slash at the dargon ankle.

’If i can’t kill you with just one strike then I’ll just have to keep sawing away!’

Leaping back a bit, he could see the damage had been done to the dargon. Barely able to stand upright with both kneecaps seriously injured.

’Unfortunately it’s extraordinary tough hide prevented me from cutting deeper. But still, it’s definitely not healing from that.’

A confident smirk formed to wheeler’s lip, proud of his accomplishment. He’d not only slashed a huge chunk of flesh from the dargon’s knee.

But also managed to reach it’s strurdy white bone. Which was no doubt stringer than it’s green scale skin. Stopping his momentum for the meantime.

"You put up a good fight beast, now die!" Stretching both his arms back a bit, the muscles in his arms bulged. Getting more denser, under the silver coating.

’Swoosh! Swoosh!’

Thin lines of air, were produced from wheeler’s momentum. Cutting through the air, with little bang sounds.

"Hehehehe!!"

The dargon burst out in a crazed laughter, making wheeler frown. Not comfortable one bit with the beast sadistic smile.

’It’s aura is still the same, which proves my theory this was just a one time thing.’

It was still unkown on either a skill from an ability, or just it’s dominating physical power the creature used. When it lowered their heads earlier, but it no doubt boosted their stats by a margin.

With a wide grin, the dargon stretched both it’s arms back. The ripping muscles moving with life, getting more dense. Causing the green scales on it’s arm to harden.

"You’ve got to be kidding me." A deep scowl formed to wheeler’s face, seeing the dargon perfectly mimic his stance.

Air slash snd air punch was no doubt a skill he created. From his undeniable strength, generating an explosive force. And while it was teachable, it required no less than 6 months to a year of practice.

’Bam! Bam!’

The beast swung it’s arm, releasing a barrage of thin air slashes. Identical to the one’s wheeler produced. The both air slash attacks crashing at the center, in a test of power.

Clenching his teeth, a thick silver vein bulged on wheeler’s forehead. Witnessing his attack destroyed along with the dargon’s.

Keeping it’s creepy smile, the latter stretched forth his hand. Gesturing wheeler attack him more, making the luitenant’s scowl deepen.

’Bam!’

Not holding back wheeler shot out like a cannon to the dargon location. Resulting in the latter firing off dozens of slashes made from air.

Leaping from side to side, he avoided most of the air slash. Continuing his run, whilist bringing his sickles down to some. Instantly destroying them.

"Die!" Wheeler screamed, sidestepping to the right to avoid a swipe from the dargon. Slashing his sickle arm at the beast rib.

Making it growl in agony, attempting to grab him. But he was faster, moving to it’s back and sending a series of strikes to his waist.

’I’ll just have to ficus on keeping it immobile to deliver the finishing blow.’ He thought coming up with a plan.

Since his silver sickles couldn’t outright cut through their steel hides. He resorted in this tatic, planning to exhaust the beast first.

Planting gis leg on the dargon’s powerful leg, he added strength to his leg. Propelling himself up a bit, furiously slashing downwards at the dargon’s skull.

’Bam!’

The beast caught onto Wheeler’s pattern, lifting it’s crossed arms up to block. Dealing more damage to it’s already severely injured forearms. But it didn’t mind, grabbing onto wheeler’s leg midair. Slamming him down to the ground.

Creating a small crater, reaching down to about 2 meters down. Not stopping the dargon raised it’s massive foot. Stomping down hard to wheeler’s chest.

"Phough!" He coughed up a mouthful of fresh blood, wincing in pain.

It felt like a trailer had slammed into him, rupturing his insides. Which seemed like they’d be mashed into pulp any moment now.

Not stopping the beast stomped him a couple of times. Breaking the exoskeleton silver armour on his skin. Along with some few ribs, and even his jawline wasn’t spared.

’Dammit move!’

He inwardly screamed issuing out commands to his body to move. Which was unresponsive, like the tie had already been severed.

With a mocking grin, the dargon raised it’s foot stained with Wheeler’s blood. Attempting to end this, by crushing the latter’s head. Which was unprotected now, having broken most of the adamantium skin.

’I—i can’t die now~ The king, still needs me!’

Gritting through the pain he redirected the remaining silver steel to both arms. Reinforcing them with his hardening ability.

Not thinking twice he raised both sickle arm upwards. The sharp pointy tip aimed at the dargon’s feet, piercing it.

"Roar!"

The beast roared in annoyance, at Wheeler’s strong will. Attempting to retract his leg the latter wouldn’t let him. Curving the sickles more deeper, reaching the dargon’s injured kneecap.

Adding strength to his arms, he pulled down. The sharp edge of the silver sickle cutting through the already damaged knee. Dissecting it with a surge of warm green blood gushing out.

Ignoring the dargon’s scream, wheeler kicked the beast leg. Causing his body to spin round, using the movement to severe the remaining foot.

’Thud.’

Like a log of wood the dargon crumbled hard to the ground. Both it’s leg were separated from it’s socket, along with green blood oozing from the injury.

"Just.. a bit longer." Wheeler steeled his resolve, attempting to sit up straight.

There was no doubt the dargon was still alive, and could still kill him. Despite having a n incomplete body.

Planting his arm sickles into the floor, to support his upper body. He added strength to his wobbly legs, trying to defy the odds.

It was working, feeling somewhat little connection re-established. Which didn’t last for long, the silver sickles dissolving into liquid.

Forming a small pool where he layed. "No~ not now."

Wheeler frowned, attempting to retract the silver substance back to his body. Failing miserably, his mana pool completely drained.

Unable to move in a critical state, he could only grit his teeth in regret. Rage burning through his bloodshot eyes, unable to finish the dargon.

"He-he!"

The dargon’s mocking snarl pulled his attention. Crawling towards him like a mutated zombie. It’s dark green claws slowly but surely inching towards a beaten up luitenant.

"Just get it over with, beast."

Not struggling, wheeler accepted his faith. The dargon’s claw just inches from his unprotected head. Just when it seemed it was over the green colour on the beast skin started fading. From it’s knees slowly going up it’s body.

"What’s happening?" There was a confused expression on Wheeler’s face, seeing the dargon suddenly freeze. Laying by his side, it’s dark green skin turning black.

"It’s dead." He softly muttered, hearing the dargon heart go silent.

’Boom! Boom!’

A couple of explosions went off, in the distance. With the sparks of flames flying within a 10 meter radius from the explosions.

........

Standing in front of a black metal crate was none other than Aurora. Her wavy fiery red hair niw ruffled, along with beads of sweat dripping down her face.

"Come on, don’t tell me you’re scared of a blind defenseless girl." She scoffed, with a condescending grin.

There were some injuries lurking all over her body. But nothing severe or life-threatening.

’This is my last one, i have to make it count.’

Aiming the bow at the two incoming dargon’s she drew the string. The flaming shooting star arrow burned brightly. Charging up more.

"Come get it!" She yelled, gritting her teeth through the opposing pressure.

Sparks of flames flying around her, along with nearby objects melting into liquid from her flames.

’Swoosh!’

Letting go the arrow shot fast like a red blur, hitting the dargon by the left in it’s chest. Exploding it’s body into pieces, burning it into ashes.

Falling to her knees, the falme bow dissipated into air. A light smile lingered on her lips, awaiting death.

’Bam!’

An object cut through the air, hitting the dargon barely blocking with it’s hands. Sending it flying back, into some black crates.

"You didn’t think i was going to let you off that easy. Did you?" A familiar voice spoke, with a soft giggle.
