Triple X System-Chapter 209: Falcon’s evolution
[Killing intent: 150]
The sudden spike in his killing intent was no doubt from the scene before him. There, a couple of steps layed two bodies.
Not unconscious or asleep, no.. But disfigured, in the sebse their head wasn’t connected to their bodies.
[Kyle~] Snow uttered wanting to speak, but her words stuck in her throat.
With wide eyes he slowly walked over to his parents bodies. His steps heavier than normal, like the overwhelming weight of gravity was crushing him.
Slamming his knees down to the floor, he leaned in. His heart thumping more loydly, like a starting engine.
’Are they—’ He stuttered, the words refusing to come out.
As a demon wuth advanced hearing, he could clearly sense heartbeats from miles. But even very close now, he couldn’t hear a faint pulse not mentioning a beat.
[I—i’m sorry kyle~] Snow’s word struck him like a sharp sword.
Clenching his fist he remained in silence, refraining from speaking. The ongoing clash behind him was irrelevant mow, along with whatever goals he had.
[Killing intent: 170]
"Why.. why do bad things happen to me." His tone was light, yet bearing the greatest burden. The grief of guilt.
He cursed his luck for ever being misfortunate and weak. As a teenager who wasn’t even of age yet, he still had many desires he wished to achieve.
[Kyle i know you’re in pain but this isn’t the right time. From my predictions the dargon’s rank should be between early king tier, to intermediate king tier.] She warned, which fell to deaf ears.
’What do i care? I can’t beat it so might as well give up.’
Broken and defeated mentally, he lost the will to fight. Crouching down with a lowered head, refraining in the shadow of his previous human self.
[Dammit kyle! You can’t give up now.. t—there’s still hope, yess. You’re parents can still be brought back to life.] Snow yelled in his head.
She could tell he wasn’t just grieving, but literally loosing the urge to live. Even his killing intent had stopped rusing, plummeling diwn some numbers.
’How?’ Kyle frowned, snow’s word striking a cord within him.
[Troy. I’m not 100% certain about this, but i think he has a specialized bio-upgradable hidden facility. That sustains the lifeforce of a living being, through supplement of energy from the mana stones.] Snow explained.
’So you’re saying Lynn’s not actually dead?’
[Yes. Technically she is dead, but literally she isn’t.]
Hearing her a spark of flame was lit up in Kyle’s heart. Whatever bottomless pit he was drowning in, replaced with an outburst of flames.
’There’s a specific time limit the body shouldn’t pass right?’ He asked, to which snow let out a soft "Mhm."
[I theorize a time interval of about 7 minutes. That’s how long a living being core is sustained, after death.]
Getting up, a creepy grin spread across his face. His sight locked onto the batte, unfolding at the center. What looked like a dargon with light blue skin, stood tall and proud.
It’s movements weren’t rash and undecisive like the darker green skinned dargon’s. Being more calculated and smooth, matching with it’s collosal strength and less bulky build.
’Bam!’
Swinging it’s arm, it caught one of the clones. Exploding it’s bofy into pirces of boack goo. Dodging a claw strike to it’s head, grabbing the mimic’s clone and slamming it into a pulp.
Abruptly stopping the dargon raised it’s head. Locking eye contact with a mech suit slightly taller than it. Tilting it’s head a bit with a sadistic smile, it waved at kyle.
’Bastard.’ Kyle gritted his teeth, holding the urge not to retaliate.
Forming elongated black hardened spear arm, the dozens of mimic’s clone plunged at the dargon. Some aiming for it’s lower body, while a large number directed to it’s upper region.
’Clang! Clang! Clang!’
Multiple clang sound resounded, the mimic’s clone attacks all nullified. The black hardened spears snapping to the floor. Causing no damage whatsoever to the dargon.
Slamming it’s arms down, an explosion took plack. With the potrusion of large gusts of winds, sending the clones flying back in all directions.
"Y—you~" The dargon stuttered in a deep tone, it’s fingers pointed at kyle.
’It can talk?’ Kyle scowled with a raised brow.
As a beast possessing the ability to speak, was like asking a fish to breathe on land. It just wasn’t in their genetic code, so it was impossible.
[As a higher rank beast, with far superiority i wouldn’t say impossible. Considering beasts with evolved versions of themselves, tends to defy the odds.]
"I—i couldn’t help but notice you’re pitiful empathy towards those lifeforns. Are you prehaps close?" The dargon said, this time more fluently than last.
"Yes." Kyle slowly shook his head. "They’re my parents."
Not responding, the grin plastered to the dargon’s face deepened. It’s eyes flashing with a curious intent.
"Fascinating~ I’ve always been curious about humans, but i loose interest after a while. The main reason is because, all my lab rats will tends to get broken easily. Resulting in my lose of interest to further my inward desires."
The beast chuckled with an eerie expression. Making kyle clench his fist more.
"Inward desires you say? Tsk! How can a beast have emotions when they’re just mindless savages!" He roared, heading out to meet the dargon.
Closing the gap, he sent out his fist to the beast head. Standing still the dargon raised it’s left arm, stopping the mech suit attack with ease.
"Such pent up anger, that’s what-"
"Shut up!" Kyle cursed, slamming his foot to the beast chest. Sending it skidding back a bit.
"Wonderful! You’re the third person asides those two that’s managed to push me back." It clapped excitedly, making Kyle’s eye twitch more.
"Screw you!"
Leaping a bit in the air, the latter attempted to pummel the dargon. But the beast was faster, sidestepping his attack. Making him slam into nothing but the concrete floor.
"You shouldn’t move around so carelessly or you could die." The dargon commented, punching forward with it’s right hand.
Barely crossing his arms, he blocked the attack which was pointless. Flung back by just a punch, colliding into about three pillars. Destroying them into two.
"This is bad." Kyle clenched his feet, pushing some large chunks of debris off him.
[Body state: 78%]
Inside the mech suit, the holographic visual of the mech suit was in display. Along with the reading of it’s condition. Which had dropped significantly, from just a fist from the beast.
[Yup, you’re in deep shit.] Snow joked, earning a light chuckle from kyle.
’And who was the person that encouraged me?’
Appearing in Kyle’s front, the dargon sent a kick to Kyle’s rib. Reacting fast, he grabbed the beast leg, chucking the dargon up in the air. Swinging his arm fast, bringing the beast crashing to tye ground.
Not stopping he moved his hand non-stop, slamming it a couple of times. Making some small craters where it’d landed. Arching his hand back a bit he tosses the dargon like a ragdoll.
Following in pursuit, he didn’t loose momentum. Punching the dargon midair, delivering a kick, not giving the beast any time to regroup.
’I can’t stop for even the slightest second or I’ll regret it.’
Keeping that in mind, Kyle dashed across the ground. The humming sound from the mech suit filling his ears, in perfect rhythm to it’s motion.
Stomping his foot, he threw a punch out to the dargon’s head. Aiming to inflict somewhat damage to it’s weak spot.
’Thud!’
The beast effortlessly smacked the mech suit arm away. Clenching it’s left fist, it punched straight at the glass frame.
’Crack!’
A crack sound was hard, along with the spreading of crack lines where the beast punched.
’It damaged it!?’ Kyle’s eye widened seeing the crack lines.
It was no hidden mystery another blow to the glass from the dragon would shatter it. Sensing the danger, he attempted to create space by leaping back. But the intimidating beast wouldn’t let him, clinging on to the mech suit.
Landing it’s foot to the side, denting the metal suit a bit. Swiftly moving to the back, locking Kyle in a bear hug. Squeezing the durable courier mech.
"How is it this strong." Kyle grunted, feeling the enclosure of the space he’s in. The strongest metal in Lumia kingdom not standing a chance.
Stomping his foot, he planned to slam the beast to the ground. But the dragon was a step ahead, using the momentum against him. Sending the suit back first to the floor.
Attempting to establish a connection w6the mech, it was unresponsive.
Beeping rapidly with a warning alarm. Several red pointy lights, indicating the damage done to the suit blinking.
"You’re weaker than those two but you managed to put up a good fight." The dargon commented in it’s dep gruttal voice.
Raising it’s clawed hand, it brought it down fast to the glass containment.
’Bang! Bang!’
Two objects flew in the air, cutting fast directed at the dargon’s head. Raising it’s left arm it blocked, taking the hot which bounced off it’s skin.
"Didn’t your mother teach you." Falcon aggressively snarled. The familiar two poison whips dancing with life in her grip.
"It’s rude to ignore others!" She yelled with bloodshot eyes, her aura exploding like a bomb.
