Triple X System-Chapter 211: I got your back
’How does it have an ability!?’ Lisa wondered with a pale face. Her nerves on high alarm watching the dargon approaching.
It wasn’t a shock to her, beasts possessed abilities. Having encountered few with abilities, mostly weaker than her’s. But it wasn’t just in the cards this specie of beast obtained one.
Already having superhuman strength, that far superceded normal feets. Questioning one’s suspicions if that was some strength buff ability.
’Zap, Zap!’
Lightning crackled around the dargon’s body, electrifying the various mana stones on the wall.
"It’s feeding off them." She could see it, the glow in the blue mana stones fading. Getting deeper as the energy was being sucked out from them by this beast.
’I can’t let it fully recharge or it’ll be the end of us all.’
Sensing the urgency, she had a gut feeling carnage would definitely befall if the beast finished it’s charging process.
Stretching her hand new green vines sprouted from the ground. Moving with a sense of their own, latching at the dargon.
"Useless." It scoffed staying still, the blue lightning surrounding it’s body going to work.
Firing off bolts of blue lightning at the multiple green vines. Destroying in the blink of an eye, leaving only the ashes. Unfazed Lisa conjured up more vines, these brown in colour prior to the green one’s.
’I just have to restrict it enough to get close.’ She thought, forming a plan in her head.
Attempting to go toe to toe with the beast wasn’t a very logical plan. Yes she was strong, not on the same par with troy. But still strong nevertheless.
But the beast was not only strong, even beating troy. The most feared and ruthless king, but operating on a different power scale. With the addition of not just any ability, but considered the best among the top ranking abilities.
"I should have enough mana for fatal attraction." She thought, gritting through the internal injuries she’d sustained.
’Bam! Bam!’
The lighting bolts shot fast, stoping Lisa’s vines momentum. Finishing it off with a second, as these vines were not ordinary.
Having a far more stronger durability and texture than the previous green vines.
’For some reason those blue bolts seems to contain some sort of hidden paralysis effect. Preventing me from sprouting up vines from below the beast.’
There was a light frown etched to the princess face. Wary of such blue lightning bolts generated from the beast. Blocking her ability for creating vines within it’s proximity.
Gritting her teeth, she maneuvered the lighting bolts. Relentlessly striking down the few brown vines that’d managed to get close. Like a plague, cutting down on crops and livestocks.
"Just a bit more~" A whisper escaped her mouth, seeing she was close to her goal. Beads of sweat rolling down her forehead.
Using her mind, a wooden cage constructed from a special type of oakwood materialized. Floating just above the dargon’s body, sharp pointy tips lurked at the bottom.
Threatening to entrap unlucky preys, dumb enough to be caught by it’s sneers.
"I’m risking a lot by betting into this but it’s worth the risk."
Like the force holding it in place snapped, the wooden cage plummeted. Gravity taking a hold on it, descending without restraint.
Sensing the incoming threat, several lightning bolts shot out upwards from the dargon. Barraging the wooden cage with an onslaught of blue lightning bolts.
’Bang! Bang!’
Multiple gunshot sounds went off, along with the lightning bolts stopping the cage descent.
"Huh?" The dargon frowned with a hint of disbelief watching the cage still standing.
"You underestimate me just like the others. I’m pissed." Lisa spoke, her expression darkening.
In her front were what looked like small blue rocks. Glowing with a dim blue light, emitting some hidden power in them. Lined up in rows of about seven. Each containing no less than 10 stones in numbers.
"How did you do that!?" The dargon questioned with wide eyes. Disbelief etched to it’s prideful face.
"Few seconds ago, before I materialized that cage." She spoke. Her voice calm and unwavering.
Snapping her fingers the mana rocks, shaped like bullets encased with the same oakwood as the case moved. Speeding with precision in unison just how they were stationed.
Stretching it’s hand the dargon directed some of the lightning bolts surrounding it. Clashing with Lisa’s wilder mana bullets, a display of power and bright light.
"Those two are definitely pass the threshold of superhumans." Kyle muttered watching the display of power between the two. Only barely keeping up with Lisa’s attacks, struggling against the dargon’s lightning bolts.
’So this is the power of a lightning affinity user.’ He silently though, clenching his fist.
The damage sustained to the mech suit wasn’t that severe. Having about less than half of it’s full capacity remaining.
But there was a major problem. The tie of neurolink connecting Kyle with mech suit had been severed. From the outrageous German suplex by the dargon. Frying it’s main reactor chip, hence cutting all connection.
’I can’t jump in now or I’ll be caught in the crossfire of both their attacks.’
Having over 60 points in agility he felt unstoppable. And with the enhancement from the frozen ice dragon katana further boosted his stats by a margin.
But now, it felt like he was watching a battle between two higher beings in ultra quality.
[Just wait for an opening. It shouldn’t be long until Lisa finds a way to overwhelm it.] Snow spoke with a reassuring tone.
’But how? All her attacks have been destroyed or blocked by the dargon. Isn’t it wise to conserve her stamina and mana pool?’
Having fought troy he learned some things when dealing with a stronger foe. The first was never engage in close hand to hand combat.
Judging the latter had more experience and a wider range of skills than you. Survival was the best option if need be.
The second was to find a weak spot, a vulnerable location to exploit. And last and most importantly was to conserve your mana and stamina.
Resulting in mostly defensive and evasive techniques. Whilst sending out coordinated attacks, calculating your next plan for an opening. To deal your trump card, and hopefully a fatal hit.
[Yes and no. While she is exerting a lot of mana into this attacks, my instincts tells me she’s not close to her limit. And she’s doing a great job at distracting the beast, buying enough time for the flowers to work.]
’Flowers?’ Kyle wondered not seeing any more flowers. The dozens from her garden of doom all destroyed by the dargon’s lightning bolts.
"Wait~ don’t tell me she’s actually giving him part of her health." His eyes widened in shock.
With snow’s holographic visual, he could see several tiny flowers. Below Troy’s palm, undetectable to the eyes emitting a soft green light. Which was being absorbed by his body.
[She’s not just giving him a part of her health but all of it if need be. I wasn’t certain at first but it seems her fatal attraction skill doesn’t just replenishes her health but others. Which explains her sudden bold confession to the beast.] Snow spoke to which Kyle listened.
Impressed by Lisa’s cool and distinct personality in battle. Making him wonder just how many countless of fights she’d been in.
’Boom! Boom!’
Several explosive sounds went off, with high pitched electric static humming. The wilder mana bullets exploding into particles of dust, from the blue lightning bolts. Which had gotten more vivid, giving off a stronger energy.
"Shit! I’m too late." Lisa cursed her luck seeing the various mana stones turn dark. The dargon’s scale turning a deep blue in colour.
Stopping from creating new vines, she dashed forward. Wrapping her body in the special oakwood, forming a wooden suit with rough scaly texture. Mimicking the dargon’s scale.
Enraged, the beast swiped it’s claws in a fury of slashes. Sending out three blue claw lines, surging with lightning energy.
Bracing herself, Lisa dodged some of the bolts. Elongatung the wood arms to form a big shield, covering her upper body.
"You’re really starting to be a pestering little insect!" The dargon roared, putting both his arms out. A small ball of blue energy surging within it, coated by the familiar blue lightning bolts.
Without hesitation it shot out in a straight line, like a lightning blast. Gritting her teeth Lisa prepared for the worst not being able to dodge, already occupied with the lesser lightning bolts.
’Bsm!’
The attack collided with her instantly, the shield taking the damage from the terrifying lightning blast. A deep burn mark was created at it’s center, spreading throughout.
Ignoring the warning sign she pulled through, refusing to back down against the opposing pressure.
"Just a bit more." Moving her legs was a challenge, against the opposing force. Constantly pushing her back with a greater pressure than a speeding truck.
Closing the distance, she dug her feet into the ground. Parts of the wooden shield being blasted off, which she ignored.
’Swoosh! Swoosh!"
Two objects cut through the air, hitting the dargon point blank in it’s head. Engulfing it in a mix of black and red flames.
"I got your back." Kyle shouted some few distance besides Lisa.
