Chapter 221: Entering the dargons spaceship (1)

’Crack!’

A deep blue lightning bolt flashed in the sky, startling Kyle a bit.

[Don’t tell me you’re scared of a little lightning.] Snow chuckled, at his reaction.

"First of all, that wasn’t any little lightning. For all I know, that could’ve been an attack from the dargon." Kyle lightly scoffed, attempting to protect his ego.

[So, technically you’re scared.] Snow replied, making a vein bulge on Kyle’s forehead.

"I’m not." Puffing his cheeks a bit, he advanced through the half destroyed kingdom barely standing.

His eyes sighting the damage unleashed, with huge losses.

[What’s your next plan now that the teleportation bay is destroyed?] Snow abruptly asked, stopping Kyle in his tracks.

"Honestly, I’m not sure now. With the teleportation bay destroyed, our means of leaving here is halted."

There was no denying it, Lumia kingdom teleportation pad was the only hope he had going back to earth. So now that it was destroyed, he was temporarily stranded here.

And with the current state of the kingdom, he doubted preparations for the teleportation pad was in mind for the time being.

[So we’re staying?]

"Unfortunately yes. Though with my current state I doubt I’d be much of a trouble to Troy now." Pausing he clenched his fist tightly.

"And if there’s anything I’ve learned after witnessing him facing that dargon. It’s I am weak." He slightly stuttered in anger, the visual of the fight scenes replaying in his head.

Because of the beast possessing not just a speed type and lethal ability. But also a troublesome one, made it an unshakable force to reckon with. Adding it’s thick blue skin, that was similar to steel almost impenetrable.

[I understand your frustration. And I’m going to be sincere with you, you’re weak.] Snow came out blunt, her voice monotone.

"Jeez~ thanks for rubbing it in." Kyle pursed his lips upwards.

[As your system guide, I’m meant to aid you through tough situations. But also state the facts and current condition of your present stats. Which is below pitiful, considering it’s been almost a month you became a demon.]

Sighing Kyle took in her words, a soft chuckle escaping his mouth. "Almost a month huh? Guess time really flies."

Signing the contract, he was clearly aware of the conditions attached but still chose to sign nevertheless. But he didn’t expect things, to unfold so fast the way they have.

[People, beast, plants, everything doesn’t always stay the same forever Kyle. The one constant thing is change. But, the nature of which a subject changes for better or worse determines it’s existence in this world.] She uttered, this time with a somewhat lighter tone.

[I can’t tell you you’ve become invisible to the point of squaring off against couple of legendary beasts or king tier or higher. That would be pure suicide, even for Troy and Lisa.] She continued, which Kyle listened.

His heart slowly thumping in his chest, the wind howling soft whispers into his ears.

[But, I can boldly state you’ve no doubt grown stronger than your previous self. Which is good progress, for a being undergoing change. Highlighting not just hard work and commitment, but the greatest will of all. The will to survive.]

Not responding immediately, her words rung through his head like an alarm. Constantly ticking with a loud warning sound, alerting him of a reminder.

"Thank you snow, I needed that." His slightly bowed, with a neutral expression.

[Don’t sweat it youngling. Afterall, I’m your sensei!] She declared without a care in the world.

Making Kyle roll his eyes at her sudden switch up in tone.

"It probably wasn’t the best decision to leave back to earth for a safer life." He sighed, the idea of leaving becoming distance from his mind.

The main reason he’d chose to leave was to guarantee a safe life for his parents and falcon back on earth. He didn’t think she’d be this crazy to cling to him, but he couldn’t deny she reminded him of someone.

But still, returning back to earth was technically a death trap. As not only had it been the location he signed the contract, but was also located. And had his parents snatched and transformed with demon energy, while he had already lost everything to Lucifer.

"Oh well, if I can’t leave here then I’ll make the most of it and break past my limits. Even if it takes becoming a monster." He vowed, a new self awakened flame burning brightly in his eyes.

[Calm down hotshot, or you might just catch a fever with your current state.] Snow teased.

Looking at troy, he was in way worse condition than Kyle. But surprisingly still alive, despite suffering internal injuries. Fatal to a normal human and excruciatingly painful to awakeners even at falcon’s level.

"If I want to grow stronger, I have to gather as much resources and information about demons and demon energy." He determined the only path to grow stronger now was no doubt increasing his demon energy.

Which was unfortunately hindered for reasons unknown by the system. ’Still, it doesn’t stop me from training my skills and stats.’

The road he threaded on was a rocky path filled with deadly shards. But there was no going back now.

[You should also collect the orbs from the fallen dargon’s. Their time of death is still recent, so the energy hasn’t faded yet. Though the light green skinned dargon’s provide lesser benefits from the system, they’re no doubt useful in strengthening your mana core.]

Nodding, Kyle then asked snow to pinpoint the dargon’s cores. Through the traces of mana energy a being emitted, even in death for a limited time.

[Done! Fortunately, they’re not much dargons in separate locations.]

"Of course." Placing troy in a two story building, hovering slightly in the air powered by the mana stones.

Which were unaffected from the blast, more closer to the inner parts of the kingdom. He ran towards the massive crater, where was once the loading/teleportation bay.

’My body is in bad condition, but I’ve been through worse. As long as I still have enough stamina left, I should be done in no time.’

He judged, having a large amount of stamina still in his tank.

Reaching the crater, there were still some sparks of lightning. Though little and insignificant, they lingered faintly in the air at simultaneous spots.

"The spaceship survived the blast!?" His eyes widened, seeing the towering spaceship the dargon used still intact.

With some minor damages, to the both blasters. And the center of it’s chest, which snow confirmed was the engine room.

[The distance dividing the spacecraft from the blast wasn’t that wide, but enough to keep intact with lesser casualties. And not to mention it’s exterior components are similar to that of the dargon’s skin.]

Jumping a bit, he ran down the massive crater not planning to waste much time.

"It’s more deeper than I anticipated." Kyle muttered, putting in more effort to his legs blazing down the huge slope.

Hitting the breaks reaching the end, he slid down the crater. Landing just before the huge black spaceship, the height of a 4 story building.

[I can’t detect any life forms in there.] Snow relayed, already reading his mind.

"Is it just me or are those things literally pulsing with life?" He frowned, a bit repulsed by the black veiny like tendrils. Running a long the huge black spaceship, beating in a programmed rhythmic pattern. Very similar to a heart beating.

[I’m detecting traces of biomaterials from those vein tendrils, which indicates they’re technically alive.]

"H—how is that even possible? I thought all living things possess a heart and brain to function." Kyle slightly stuttered, his jaw dropped a bit in disbelief. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

[Yes and no. Technically a living being is comprised of a specific structure, distinct and complex from others to duplicate. And though some comprised of internal organs, not all do.] Snow explained to Kyle, circling the dargon’s ship for an entrance.

[Take plants for example, they have the ability to produce take in carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. While also trapping nutrients from the sun to feed and thrive for other purposes. This and many more, all without a functioning brain or internal organs.]

"So technically, you’re saying these dark tendrils are samples of probably enhanced dargons skin?"

[My thoughts exactly.. As for his this is possible, I’m not certain. But, I’m having a strong individual the person responsible for the creation of dargon’s is possible is mad scientist.]

....

"Found it." Kyle huffed out air, relieved to have found the entrance to the ship at the rear location. Stationed in the middle, behind the big thrusters.

’Bam!’

The ground beneath his feet cracked, from the force he lept up. Landing softly on the narrow platform, attached to the two huge black doors.

"There isn’t a scanner or security requirement to access the doors."

Looking, he couldn’t find and access points besides the spaceship doors. Which was annoying, as he’d wanted to salvage whatever items he could find.

Whilist gaining whatever information on how the dargon’s were created, and where they came from.

[It’s probably locked with the dargon’s genetic code, so I’m betting it opens with their genes.] Snow hinted, making Kyle purse his lips upwards.
