Triple X System-Chapter 222: Entering the dargons spaceship (2)
"Where is it?" Kyle impatiently muttered, searching for the dargon’s body.
[With the explosive damage of the blast, the beast body would most likely be torn to pieces. But hopefully not completely obliterated along with it’s core.] Snow reminded, which he was well aware of.
The huge crater covered a width of about 32meters which was very long. About couple of streets stacked together, but his speed made up for time.
"What’s that?" He stopped on reflexes, the side of his eyes catching a glimpse of something shiny.
Heading towards it, there were multiple big derbies from the white egg shaped oval building covering it. Lifting them, they weighed no more than a car. Which was easy to lift for Kyle, with over 60+ in strength.
Chucking the dust away with his hands, his eyes layed on a shiny blue glowing orb. Pulsing with a soft ethereal glow, charming all who gazed upon it to draw closer.
"That’s the lightning dargon orb." There was no doubt about it.
The blue orb emitting a stronger pulse of mana, than any beast orb he’d came in contact with before. Sparks of blue lightning constantly flashing within it, highlighting the dargon’s dangerous ability.
Stretching his hand, Kyle was wary at first for a surprise attack. Usually this was almost too good to be true, to be gifted with such orb of more clarity and mand mana.
[You literally helped in dealing the final blow to the dargon. How could you be scared of a sneak attack?] Snow questioned, with a mocking tone.
Puffing his cheeks, Kyle ignored her reaching for the dargon’s orb. Coming in contact with the orb, it was smooth. Way smoother than all the orbs that’d come in close proximity with his skin.
Kinda like blue glass, with little tingling sensations running through his body. From the sparks of lightning, raging in the orb like a tidal wave.
"Not only is it smaller in size than the rest beast orbs, but also lighter. Are all dargon’s core like this?" Kyle wondered, amazed at the texture and weight of the dargon’s core.
[I’d likely say no, though I have no records on dargon’s. Their physiology is part beast, so they work with the same biology as other high rank beasts. The light and dark green skinned dargon’s are certainly of lower rank. So while some might develop cores, it is not expected of all to produce cores. Considering their ambiguous nature and genetic code.]
’Well that sucks.’ A light frown slightly formed to Kyle’s face.
If not all the green dargon’s formed cores, and the benefits were lower then it would be considered a loss. As the number of light skinned green dargon’s were much, than the darker shade of green.
Which wasn’t a debate, being more stronger than the lighter green skinned beasts.
"Sighs.. you win some, you loose some." Storing the orb in the system store, he was about leaving when his eye caught a preview of something in the ground.
"Bingo!" He excitedly exclaimed, earning degratory remarks from snow about his maturity.
Which he ignored, focusing on the piece of the dargon’s limb. "Seems like my luck is finally turning around for good."
Clutching the dargon’s finger tightly in his grip, he was careful not to further damage it. For the authorization process, to allow access to the ship.
Blazing through the sand and countless pieces of destroyed items. He arrived at the dargon’s spaceship in less than 2 minutes. Which was lightning fast, judgging the distance the orb was located at the other end.
’Bang!’
Taking a big jump, he landed on the platform attached to the spaceship doors.
"Here goes nothing~"
Stretching the dargon’s thumb to the door, the pulsing black tendrils reacted. Furious latching on to the dargon’s finger, forcing Kyle to retract his hand.
’Please work.’ Kyle silently prayed, watching the black tendrils wrap around the dargon’s thump. Sticking it to the doors of the spaceship, humming in a low tone.
"W—what happened, did it work?"
The spaceship suddenly went silent, after some seconds. Along with the dargon’s thumb dissolving into liquid, absorbed by the black tendrils.
’Clank! Clank!’
Multiple wheels twisted inwardly, causing Kyle to subconsciously take a step back. Standing just at the edge of the narrow platform.
[It’s opening ~] Snow excitedly spoke, giggling in anticipation like a little girl.
And Kyle couldn’t blame her, also being excited about exploring the beast craft. Probably acquiring some beneficial information or items, to aid him in his quest to power.
[You might need to step down.] Snow hinted, but kyle was already ahead of her.
Jumping down the big spacecraft, awaiting the unlocking of the doors. Like a kid, unboxing his first christmas present.
’Clang! Cla-’
Like previously, the clang sound stopped after some seconds. Making Kyle crunch his brows a bit.
"What is it this time~" He fumed, jumping on to the narrow platform.
’Clang~ thud!!’
A much louder clank sound, echoed with a 10 meter mile radius. Forcing Kyle to shield his ears from how loud the sound waves resounded.
But it wasn’t done yet, as a loud thud sound followed. With the single black doors of the dargon’s spaceship twisting open.
"Mhm." Kyle grunted, using his fast reflexes to slid to the edge of the platform.
Pressing his hands to the black sturdy material that wasn’t similar to steel texture in the slightest. Dangling midair, just in time before the huge door made it’s rotation open.
"Phew! I was starting to get worried there." He sighed, with an awkward chuckle.
’Swoosh!’
The cool air from the spaceship brushed against his skin, pulling his attention forward.
"Weird, it’s nothing like I imagined." Looking at the inside of the spaceship, it was dark.
Lit up by blue mana stones, which wasn’t a problem for him. But other than that there weren’t any significant, notable features that amazed him in the spaceship.
"There’s probably more significant items inside." Advancing in through the entrance of the spaceship. It was surprisingly just as he’d imagined.
The basic outline of the insides of a big space craft, capable of housing about 500 to a thousand individuals. Comprising of separate big rooms, labelled for different purposes and tasks.
Following the central walkway, it led him past some reinforced bulkheads. Besides the interior of the spacecraft, leading to other separate structures.
"A crossroads." Kyle said, staring at the 5 massive holes in front.
They looked like tunnels with lit up mana stones on the walls. But he had a feeling their were passages, leading to separate locations of the spaceship. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"Which one should I pick snow?"
[What!? Are you crazy, what if it’s a trap?] She exclaimed, to which Kyle rolled his eyes.
"Weren’t you the one that urged me to do this?"
[Yes, but I didn’t actually think you’d have the guts.] She warily chuckled.
’Let’s see~ eenie meenie, I guess I’ll go with the second one.’
Entering the second hole, he threaded through the smooth ground surface. The dozens of blue mana stones, casting a soft luminescence glow to him.
’I wonder how long these mana stones have been here?’
[Not long. The energy contained in them is still very active and far from being used up. I’ve determined they used the mana stones for their main source of powering the spaceship. Just like humans, hinting my theory could be right.]
Arriving at the end of the tunnel, he was presented with a smaller space. Little than the entrance passage and the tunnel he’d just passed by.
"A living quarters?" He uttered, a bit surprised.
By the left side weren’t compact bunk beds, like he’d expected. But vertical sleeping bags, arranged in horizontal rows of two. While by the right was a well functioning kitchen with cooking equipment, and cabinets made from the same black material as the ship.
Opening the cabinets, a variety of essential protein packed food and supplement met his gaze. Followed by ripe juicy fruits of all kind, miraculously still intact.
"What the hell is going on? Is this some kind of prank for messing with us?" Kyle frowned, confused to the core.
He knew beasts couldn’t feast on normal foods humans are, but mana and other substances that fit their digestive system. But the dargon’s were a hybrid mix of both humans and beast.
So while it was possible they could eat these, it just didn’t sit right with the large quantity and the condition they were packed in.
[While dargon’s feast on human food, especially meat. They only require a small amount of it, and only does so occasionally. But, I’m guessing the dargon’s invasion was actually an abduction plan from a higher ranked dargon, or possible the creator of these beasts himself.]
"Of course, that explains why they emphasized on attacking the teleportation bay. They planned to keep us from leaving, while they weakened our forces and drag the survivors aboard their ship."
At first, he’d wondered why the dargon’s attacked mostly the key facilities in Lumia kingdom. But he’d shrugged it off as his own thoughts, but then it happened again with the blue skinned dargon.
When it fought against Lisa, he didn’t notice before but now that he thought about it, the dargon held back against Lisa. Yes, it sounded crazy, but the dargon didn’t hesitate to kill his parents, the mimic and falcon.
Even ignoring him, only focusing on the main threat at hand. Only when it felt threatened, did it unleash it’s full power.
"Welcome chosen one!" A systematic voice echoed throughout the spaceship.
