Triple X System-Chapter 227: Death wish
’They’re all monsters.’ That thought echoed in Liam’s mind like a plague. Watching with pale face, as Reze easily dismantled the small group of courageous mobs.
Though she was human far from having an ability or using mana. Her IQ far surpassed everyone in the kingdom. Legend has it she also compete with her designs for the top spot of knowledge.
Toppled with her silent personality, she was an unpredictable individual. Literally a wild card under troy’s possession. And the items she’d made were a testament to her raw knowledge and exhilarating personality.
"Lucias, do you have any idea what that suit is?" Layla muttered, heading over to lucias side.
Just like her, he and all the space guards present had a look of surprise. Than the crowds of nobles, and the few commoners and average status people that’d refrained from teaming up with Katie.
The reason was simple, the armour Reze was putting on had no traces of mana. Which was weird, as mana was their primary source of energy. Even for utilizing the space armour efficiency, but her’s had none whatsoever.
And that wasn’t all, but the black gooey like material that was projected from her body earlier wasn’t linder. Or any metal they’d ever come in contact with for that matter, deeping the questions lingering in their mind.
"I’m not sure. For starters, that suit is way better and advanced than the space armory. Which must mean it’s a new enchanted adaptation model of our suits." Lucias concluded to which Layla softly nodded.
’Miss Reze must’ve outdone herself again like always.’ Layla’s eye sparkled with admiration, staring at reze like an idol.
The latter was usually locked away voluntarily in her lab. Which was the teleportation bay, overseeing the necessary procedures of exporting the mana stones.
To neighboring planets and colonization out in space, for a very high amount. Reducing the cost of transportation and any misconduct greatly. Thereby leading to an exponential increase in lumia’s kingdom wealth and prosperity.
It was a solid fair trade, which heavily weighed in on lumia’s kingdom favour. And while there have been some little scuffles, it was easily resolved by troy’s mere presence.
"Come on now, I was just starting to get excited. Don’t be such joy killers." Reze whined, stomping her feet like a grumpy little girl.
The ground cracking a bit from her stomp, with a her exact foot sized imprint made to the floor.
’S-she cracked the ground just from stomping her foot.’ Bertha’s eyes widened in shock and disbelief.
’What’s her motive? She has enough power restrained in that armour to kill us, but hesitates. Instead choosing to toy with us before giving us a good beating.’
Gritting his teeth, Liam clenched the wooden spear in his grip tightly. He knew deep down they were just stepping stones, and a means of entertainment to Reze in that suit.
But what he couldn’t make out was why she decided to spare them. Even though they’d clearly attacked their own kind, which was against the law.
"Sighs~ if none of you are willing to play with me anymore then I guess I’ll just have to kill you all now." Reze declared with a dark voice, sending ice cold shivers down their spines.
Steadily advancing towards them, startling them like rats at the sight of light to retreat back.
"She’s not really going to kill them, right?" Brazen uttered with an derailed tone. Tightly gripping on to his glass cup, causing a crack to form on the side.
"She is." Melo calmly uttered, watching the scene unfold.
"What!? H-how can you be so sure? I mean she might be stronger than everyone here combined, but what happens when this is all over? The king surely won’t let this easily slide, just because she’s the head scientist." Brazen relayed, debunking melo’s words as false.
Taking a sip from his drink, he adjusted his glass. Letting out a soft sigh. "You’re wrong. The king will let it slide, because she’s one of the chosen advocates to implement such inhumane decisions."
Listening to melo, brazen’s eye widened more completely forgetting the fact Reze was a chosen advocate of Troy. Slightly gulping, he refrained from anymore questions.
"Wait!" A voice yelled from the crowd, drawing the attention of everyone present in the room.
"Huh? What do we have here?" Reze asked, tilting her head to the side a bit. Stopping in her tracks, just 6 meters from the crowd.
Now inching towards a dead end, near a solid wall.
"Though we outnumber you, we are far out matched. I don’t speak for everyone one here, but punish me anyhow you see fit. But please, I beg of you to spare our lives and double our workload." Liam voiced out his mind, snapping the wooden spear with his knee.
Crashing to the floor knees first, followed by his head planted to the ground. Bowing down like a humble servant.
"I-is he?"
"Yes, he it appears so."
"But what do we do now?"
There were looks of shock and bewilderment written over the crowd of mobs behind Liam. Once filled with rage and a goal, now left standing stunned in confusion.
"I agree with him, punish us as you see fit. But please spare our lives!" Bertha followed suite, bowing to the ground before Reze.
"Double my punishment, please spare me!" A petite brunette lady shouted, going to her knees.
"No triple mine! Please spare me!"
"Multiple my punishment by 10, I’ll gladly accept. Please spare me!"
More and more people from the crowd yelled, snapping their weapons into two. Going to their knees pleading for their lives, already accepted defeat. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
"They’re surrendering." Lyra uttered, watching the crowd of mobs submit to Reze.
"They can’t be serious right, this has to be a truck to let miss Reze let her guard down." Layla frowned, refusing to believe this little act as a play of trickery. Just as they’d done to her.
"No, they really mean it." Lucias said, with lowering his weapon. Earning an awkward glare from Layla.
"Don’t tell me you of all people are falling for their trucks? Wake up lucias! They’re obviously faking it!" Layla replied with gritted teeth.
"Sighs~ you have a point, and I might be wrong. But, no one in their right mind would consent to the punishment awaiting them from the king."
...
Standing still, Reze stared at the kneeling crowd with a blank expression. The black material covering her face opened up a bit. Staying on defense, with just enough exposure for only her eyes and nose.
"And why should I believe you?" She asked, making Liam gulp a bit.
"Not only did you conceive to overthrow the king and side with the same beasts that slaughtered your kind. But you’re in partnership in an attempted murder crime." She paused, her brows contorting into a frown.
"From where I stand the charges summing up against you are treason and attempted murder. Which is punishable by death, so tell me~" She begged, closing the distance between them. Slowly making her way to them, causing the rise in their temperature.
Beads of sweat falling from their forehead to the ground, the pounding of their hearts growing wary. About to jump out from their chest any moment now.
Stopping in Liam’s front, she crouched down a bit. Stretching her hand forth, raising his head to meet her gaze.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t just slaughter everyone of you here and now." She whispered, her eyes flashing with a dangerous glare. Sending a warning signal throughout Liam’s nerve and cells.
Taking a big gulp, he tried calmly himself down but his body wasn’t listening. Cowering in fear, shaking subconsciously from how close Reze was.
"Be-be-" He opened his mouth, but worse refused to come out.
Stuttering like a stuck track, repeating just one incomplete word.
"5 seconds to change my mind." Reze spoke with an expressionless face. Thinking, Liam’s mind raced on what to say but his brain processing speed was already maxed out.

"I don’t have a reason!" Liam yelled.
’Shit, we’re doomed.’ Bertha’s face went pale at Liam’s word. She’d thought he had a plan to secure their lives but apparently, they were just a step away from death.
"I don’t have a reason because there is none. We commuted a heinous crime which we’re fully aware of the consequences. So if it means death, I’ll fully accept the punishment." He spilled out with sincerity, balls of tears strolling down his cheeks.
Looking at him, Reze didn’t speak immediately. Staring into his eyes like a mirror, reflecting on his soul.
"And what about the rest of you? Do you also wish to walk down in his path and die a shameful death?" She questioned, demanding an answer immediately.
"O-of course!" Bertha was the first to speak. "If the only punishment deemed fit for us is death, the we gladly accept!" She declared, giving a light nod of acknowledgement to Liam.
"I-i accept too~"
"Yeah, me too. Kill me first."
"No kill me first!"
The crowd followed suit accepting their punishment without question.
"Very well then, I shall grant your death wish." Reze muttered in a low tone.
Both her arms turning into pointy elongated black blades.
