Chapter 109: Chapter 108: Counterattack

After filming this set of scenes, it was Sharon Cheney’s turn, so Bella Acker and Vivian Norris could take a break.

Vivian Norris’s two assistants immediately stepped forward, offering jackets and hot water, surrounding her as they headed to a nearby spot to rest.

Farah Garner grabbed Bella Acker, who was also preparing to leave, with a cold expression and said, "You did it on purpose, didn’t you?!"

"What do you mean, on purpose?" Bella Acker looked innocent.

The nearby busy staff couldn’t help but glance over, having heard some of the commotion.

They were used to seeing the dynamics of those who flatter the powerful and step on the weak while working on the film set, but this was the first time they’d seen a newcomer so brazenly bullying another newcomer. Especially since the bullied one was among the main supporting actresses, while the one doing the bullying played a minor maid role.

It felt like the roles of bully and bullied had been swapped.

One of the crew members moving props happened to be Lawson, who had arranged accommodations for Bella Acker’s group. He whispered to his colleague beside him, "It seems there’s some bad blood between Farah Garner and Bella Acker, she falsely accused Bella of stealing her things just after we arrived at the hotel."

"Is that so?" a female colleague frowned, "Judging by Farah Garner’s face, she’s not an easy person to deal with. Bella Acker was clearly pleading for her a moment ago. Instead of appreciating it, she turned around and snapped at Bella like a dog biting the hand that feeds it."

"Shh, keep it down. If you’re heard, she might trouble you next."

A few staff members shrugged and returned to their tasks.

They deliberately kept their voices low, so Farah Garner and Bella Acker couldn’t make out what they were saying, but they could guess from the occasional glances.

Farah Garner gave a vengeful glare and threatened in a low voice, "We’ll see about that!"

Bella Acker found it amusing inside but maintained an innocent and slightly flustered expression.

Farah Garner became angrier when she saw this and harshly shook off Bella’s hand.

"Ah!" Bella Acker stumbled and cried out as she fell off the set platform.

The platform wasn’t high, just the height of a step, but the unexpected incident still gave everyone a fright. Two nearby staff members immediately rushed forward to help Bella Acker up, asking with concern, "Are you okay?"

With a thick costume and low platform, the fall wasn’t significant.

Bella Acker shook her head, "Thank you, I’m fine."

Farah Garner stood stunned, watching others help Bella Acker up, checking if she was hurt, feeling a bit dumbfounded.

How did this happen? She did give a strong shake, but it shouldn’t have made Bella fall. Moreover, no matter how you looked, Bella’s fall appeared as if she’d been pushed.

Director Ford also walked over quickly, his face stern and displeased, "What happened?"

Bella Acker shook her head, "I just lost my footing."

Sharon Cheney and Elaine Vaughn also approached.

"How could you just lose your footing like that?" Sharon said, glancing at the stunned Farah Garner, "You’re a bit out of line."

"I... I didn’t," Farah instinctively tried to defend herself but noticed everyone was looking at her with accusing eyes, seemingly convinced she had pushed Bella.

She looked to Director Ford, whose expression was already visibly impatient, and finally began to panic, "Bella Acker, you say it! Tell them it wasn’t me who pushed you!"
