Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife-Chapter 54 - 53: Sharing a Ride
Damian Sinclair’s reminder made Bella Acker recall.
She had promised that after the launch ceremony, she would explain her understanding of the character Hera to him in detail.
Though she agreed earlier, she thought it was just Damian Sinclair deliberately trying to embarrass her, and didn’t take it to heart. She knew how busy Damian Sinclair was every day, with endless documents to read, where would he have time to look at online romance novels.
Seeing her standing still, Damian Sinclair continued, "Ms. Acker might not know, I am very busy, apart from this time on the road, I can’t spare more time." As he spoke, the car window slowly rose, blocking his face and the cold expression on it.
The assistant still maintained a professional smile, "Ms. Acker, please."
Bella Acker glared at Damian Sinclair who was no longer visible before saying, "Ms. Cheney and Ms. Flynn, I’ll go over now."
Sharon Cheney softly advised her in the car, "Showcase your understanding of Hera well, even if you’re angry, don’t offend President Sinclair, he’s not someone we can afford to offend. However, if he wants anything from you that you don’t want, you can refuse. Understand?"
Bella Acker paused, not understanding the latter part of Sharon Cheney’s words at first, but realized after a moment, feeling more grateful in her heart.
Ms. Cheney truly cared for her, warning her at the risk of offending Damian Sinclair, afraid she might encounter the hidden rules.
"I understand." Bella Acker nodded, and then followed the waiting assistant to Damian Sinclair’s car.
Elaine Vaughn looked over there suspiciously before getting into the car, "Sharon, it’s the first time I see you giving such guidance to a newcomer, do you really like her?"
Sharon Cheney sighed, "This industry is inherently flashy, how many newcomers seriously study acting skills? You’ve been in this industry with me for so long, have you seen fewer of those shady methods and deals? Bella is quite young, a pure-hearted child, I’ll help her where I can. It’s all just convenient for me, it doesn’t affect me personally."
"Yes, I agree with the pure-hearted part." Elaine Vaughn nodded, "But time reveals a person’s true nature, don’t put too much emotion now, if something happens later, it’ll only hurt your own heart."
"I understand." Sharon Cheney nodded, glanced at her old friend with a smile, and said, "I have my limits, don’t worry."
"You’re so stubborn, once bitten by a snake and afraid of ropes for ten years, how can I not worry?" Elaine Vaughn rolled her eyes at her, before changing the topic, "By the way, have you noticed there’s something odd about President Sinclair’s attitude towards Bella?"
"Do you think so too?" Sharon Cheney frowned slightly and said, "I always feel Bella and President Sinclair should know each other, but seeing Bella not wanting to mention it, there might be some difficulty involved, we shouldn’t ask too much."
"Speaking of which, wasn’t Hera initially reserved for Phoebe?" Elaine Vaughn quickly understood, "Do you think it could be..."
Sharon Cheney glared at her, and Elaine Vaughn immediately stopped talking. Some things, even if guessed, shouldn’t be spoken.
On the other side, Vivian Norris’ smile vanished from her face after getting into her chauffeured car.
The three assistants and two makeup artists nearby attended to her carefully, not daring to make a sound, fearful of triggering her anger.
Vivian Norris’ eyes were icy, and only after the car slowly drove away did she speak, her face cold, "Have someone investigate Bella Acker’s background thoroughly."
