Laurent was furious about how Dave was forcing himself to go on a trip, using all sorts of tactics. He complained about him in the group chat with Vivian and the others.

Vivian found it hilarious:

"Someone like Dave is obviously a hands-off kind of person who doesn’t manage anything. If you go on a trip with him, you’ll end up doing all the planning. You’ll be exhausted, both physically and mentally, and I guarantee you two will break up when you come back. So, I wholeheartedly support you two going on a trip—both hands up in approval!"

Vivian’s impression of Dave had always been based on Laurent’s past descriptions, where Laurent took care of everything, big or small, at home.

Based on the three of their views, they all supported her going on the trip with Dave, though Vivian’s reason for supporting it was that she hoped Laurent would break up with Dave after the trip.

So, Laurent decided to go on the trip with Dave, especially since Matthew had already given her time off for the holidays.

After making her decision, she called Dave to talk about the trip. Dave was a bit surprised by how quickly she agreed.

Laurent thought that, since Dave had already planned to go on the trip with her, and had even made it so she couldn’t refuse, everything should have been arranged by now.

But now he was asking her where they should go—were they going to plan everything on the spot and figure out the itinerary together?
