Only My Weapons Level UP
Chapter 108: Fire Fury
"You can use the Thunder Staff; by the way, I am not going to need the magic stones anymore, so you guys can keep it or use it," Terry said. "What is your choice, George? We will get a lot of their attention, and I suppose you guys can attack one of the sides if you want to help. Since the fate of your guild and town are in more dire straits than I had expected, then I can no longer leave you guys aside from now. Still, it will be dangerous."
"We will fight and attack their flank," George quickly replied.
The other guild masters, their faces filled with determination, nodded in agreement as Terry proposed the plan to attack the flank of the enemy forces. They understood the importance of striking swiftly and decisively to gain the upper hand in the battle against the overlord’s minions.
Rebecca, knowing the potential risks and casualties they could face, stepped forward and offered to lend them the healing wand. With this powerful artifact in their possession, they would be able to mend wounds and prevent any disasters that could befall the guild masters during the intense fight.
"What? We won’t need it," Rebecca said.
"You must be bipolar, nervous one moment and confident at the other," Terry said. "Or maybe you are more confident since Vanessa is here, and you won’t have to worry about falling into temptation and attacking me."
"In your dreams," Rebecca shrugged.
"I didn’t expect that you two were that close... ah, youth," Vanessa said while she was checking her gear. "By the way, I am twenty-two."
"You talk and act like a grandma despite your age," Terry said.
Terry sensed a flicker of bloodlust emanating from Vanessa as she responded to his comment about her acting like an old woman. However, he chose to overlook it and not dwell on her momentary outburst. He understood that tensions were running high and emotions could sometimes get the better of people.
Once the preparations had been finished, the group split up, and then Terry, Vanessa, and Rebecca moved toward the enemy’s base. At first, Vanessa said that she couldn’t dense them that well, thanks to the snowstorm, but soon she began to catch something.
"They are on high alert..." Vanessa said with her eyes closed as if she could see the enemy’s base ahead right now. "They are more than ready to fight... I would bet that they managed to recover from the losses by bringing more trolls from the portal."
"It will be fine, just focus on doing your job, and the results will be obvious," Terry declared. "Still, be ready for some changes; considering what can happen, I might deem it necessary."
Those three nodded and then put the plan into action. As the earth platform soared through the sky, Rebecca controlled it with remarkable precision, making it fly at incredible speeds in a straight line above the troll’s camp. The group felt the rush of wind against their faces as they moved with astonishing velocity.
The trolls, taken by surprise, hastily picked up their spears and hurled them toward the flying platform. However, their aim was erratic, and the projectiles missed their mark, falling harmlessly to the ground below.
On the platform’s edge, Terry fired his Flame Swords with masterful skill. As the trolls below looked up in terror, he summoned torrents of fire, engulfing the upper halves of the monsters in a blaze of destruction. The explosions lit up the sky, and the creatures fell to the ground, lifeless.
With each throw of his swords, Terry displayed an unmatched proficiency in combat, dispatching the trolls with deadly precision. His strikes were quick and merciless, leaving no room for the beasts to counterattack.
The trolls below were left utterly speechless as they witnessed the astonishing display of power from Terry and his companions. Their faces contorted with shock and fear, unable to comprehend the speed and precision with which the group attacked.
These monstrous creatures had become accustomed to their dominance over the land and their ability to overpower lesser foes. They had never encountered opponents who could fly through the air and rain down destruction from above.
The unexpected onslaught of fire and fury caught them off guard, and for a moment, they were frozen in disbelief. They had underestimated the abilities of the intruders, and now they paid the price for their arrogance.
The group reached the other side of the enemy’s camp, and Vanessa didn’t even have the chance to attack. Still, she had concentrated enough when Rebecca made the Earth platform turn around.
The trolls below were now consumed by rage as they witnessed Terry’s group suddenly changing direction, moving further away from their grasp. They felt a surge of confidence, believing that the intruders were now making themselves easy targets by flying in a predictable pattern. With their blood boiling and anger fueling their attacks, the trolls hurled more spears.
However, their hopes were quickly dashed as Vanessa, with her mastery of wind and lightning magic, unleashed a barrage of lightning bolts from her hands. The sky crackled with electric energy as the lightning streaked down, accurately striking the trolls below. The sudden onslaught of electrical fury caught the trolls off guard, leaving them vulnerable and exposed.
The powerful bolts of lightning seared through the air, finding their marks with deadly precision. The trolls’ bodies convulsed as the electric shocks coursed through their massive forms. Their roars of anger turned into cries of agony as the lightning’s intensity intensified their pain.
Terry’s eyes were wide open, scanning the chaos below as Vanessa’s lightning bolts unleashed their fury. Amidst the electrifying display, a few trolls managed to escape the full impact of the lightning and attempted to retaliate. Swiftly reacting, Terry drew upon his Fire Swords, unleashing their blazing power.
With the fire swords, he became a force of relentless precision. Spreading chaos and destruction like the enemies never saw before.
