Only My Weapons Level UP
Chapter 118: Nastiness
Despite that, things were getting quite difficult near the guild masters. They had gotten the hang of fighting the trolls, but fighting against numerous of them was still quite the challenge.
"I want to level up this weapon as fast as possible... but things might get complicated if the others are killed," Terry thought while looking over his shoulder. "I guess I will have to sacrifice a bit of experience to make sure that they will be able to help me until the end. This is the best option..."
With a fierce determination in his eyes, Terry turned to the side, his grip tightening on the massive black steel Destroyer. He swung the colossal weapon with unyielding force, its razor-sharp edge slicing through the air like a deadly scythe. The trolls were caught off guard, their heads and bodies severed with each side slash.
Yet, Terry knew that their regenerative abilities would kick in soon, and they couldn’t afford to waste any time. Before the trolls had a chance to heal, the other guild masters sprang into action. Hector, with his lightning-fast spear, strikes Roger, wielding his devastating axe, Lucy, conjuring a blaze of fire to engulf her foes, Natalia, delivering bone-shattering punches. And Kai, dancing gracefully with his katana - they all moved as a synchronized force.
The trolls attempted to regrow their severed body parts, but the guild masters were relentless, leaving no time for recovery. With precise strikes and overwhelming firepower, they delivered the final blows, ensuring that the trolls would not rise again.
Terry’s attacks were simple but as effective as they could be against melee enemies that didn’t know how to fight strategically.
Still, The shock on everyone’s faces was evident as Terry swung the massive black steel Destroyer from one side to the other. The sheer force of the weapon’s movements created powerful blasts of wind that sent the snow around them, scattering in all directions. The ground trembled under the weight of each swing, and the trolls that dared to approach were knocked back with bone-crushing impact.
But amidst the awe and astonishment, Vanessa’s mind sparked with an idea. As she observed the forceful gusts of wind created by Terry’s swings, a realization dawned upon her.
"Terry! Jump and attack with your Fire Swords without any hesitation!" Vanessa shouted.
Terry felt a mix of surprise and confusion when he heard Vanessa’s suggestion. He couldn’t help but wonder if he was already doing enough to aid the group in the battle against the trolls. After all, his powerful swings with the Blacksteel Destroyer were already making a significant impact, and the trolls were struggling to withstand his relentless attacks.
However, as he looked into Vanessa’s eyes and saw the determination and conviction in her gaze, he realized that she must have a valid reason for her suggestion. She had proven herself to be a valuable ally in the past, helping him navigate through difficult situations with her quick thinking and expertise in magic. Trusting her judgment had paid off in the past, and he decided that this situation wouldn’t be any different.
"Oh, boy... here we go again," Terry thought.
With a surge of power, Terry propelled himself high into the air, soaring to an astounding height of one hundred meters. As he reached the apex of his jump, he felt a rush of adrenaline coursing through his veins, his heart pounding in his chest. At that moment, all his focus was solely on one thing – unleashing a devastating attack on the enemies below.
Summoning all his mana, Terry formed one hundred fiery swords in the palm of his hand. Each blade glowed with intense heat, ready to be unleashed upon the unsuspecting trolls. With a swift motion, he released the torrent of fire swords, sending them hurtling down toward the ground like blazing comets.
The sky erupted with a fiery display as the swords streaked through the air, leaving trails of flames in their wake. As they made contact with the ground, explosions rippled through the enemy ranks. Dozens of monsters were engulfed in flames, their bodies torn apart by the sheer force of Terry’s attack.
But what was even more remarkable was the effect of the relentless assault on the environment. The intense heat from the fire swords caused the surrounding snow to melt rapidly, creating small pools of water that quickly froze over again in the frigid air. The once snow-covered terrain began to transform, revealing patches of barren ground beneath the white surface.
"Rebecca!" Vanessa shouted again.
Vanessa understood the message and then made an earth platform emerge from the ground and made everyone fly.
With a resolute expression, Vanessa raised her arms to the sky, channeling all of her mana into a powerful spell. In an instant, dark clouds gathered above the battlefield, blotting out the pale moonlight. Thunder rumbled ominously, and lightning crackled within the brooding storm she had summoned.
As Vanessa unleashed her spell, the heavens responded with a torrent of thunderbolts streaking down toward the ground. The electric energy struck the melted snow, turning it into a conductor that amplified the power of her attack. The once-frozen terrain became a death trap for the unsuspecting trolls below.
The lightning bolts struck with precision, electrifying the surrounding area with devastating force. Trolls caught in the deadly web of electricity convulsed and spasmed, their bodies ravaged by the intense power. Some fell instantly, their bodies lifeless as the electricity coursed through them. Others struggled to stay on their feet, barely able to muster the strength to fight back. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
The air crackled with energy as Vanessa continued to unleash her thunderstorm, relentless in her assault. The surviving trolls were left stunned and disoriented, their movements sluggish and weakened. They were mere shadows of their former selves, struggling to comprehend the overwhelming force arrayed against them.
"You can be pretty nasty, huh," Terry said when he landed on the platform.
"Only when the situation requires it or to those that deserve it," Vanessa replied.
