Chapter 119: Wrong Assumptions

In any case, they didn’t have time to talk; they had some cleanup to do. Terry jumped from the platform and then dashed to attack the monsters that still were in position to fight while the others wanted to kill the fallen ones.

With Vanessa having exhausted her mana reserves in the thunderous display of power, the group knew they had to act quickly. Her lightning bolts had been a formidable asset. Still, without her magical support, they were now solely reliant on their own strengths and skills.

Terry took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on him. He knew they couldn’t afford to waste any time. Their window of opportunity was limited, and they needed to push forward before the trolls had a chance to regroup.

Rebecca’s earth platform quivered beneath their feet as the tremors within the ice castle intensified. The sheer force of the ominous aura seemed to amplify with each passing moment, making it increasingly difficult for them to maintain their composure.

Vanessa’s eyes narrowed, her instincts sharpening as she braced herself for what lay ahead. She had faced formidable foes before, but this presence was unlike any other. It was a darkness that threatened to consume everything in its path.

As the guild masters gathered their courage, they realized that their very presence here had provoked the overlord’s attention. They were intruders in his domain, and he would not allow them to go unchallenged.

Through the icy halls, the menacing aura grew stronger, converging towards a central point where the overlord awaited. Vanessa, Rebecca, and Terry, however, had experienced this level of bloodlust before. The memory of the red dragon’s menacing aura flashed in their minds, and they recognized the similarities between that fearsome creature and the source of the malevolence before them.

"Here it comes..." Terry said.

A deep, low rumble that gradually grew louder and closer. With each passing moment, the ground quivered beneath their feet, and the guild masters turned their attention to the source of the approaching disturbance.

As they looked towards the massive ice wall protecting the castle, the rumbling reached a crescendo, and then, with an earth-shattering explosion, the wall was shattered into pieces. The guild masters’ eyes widened in astonishment as the final enemy of their world emerged from the wreckage.

"Oh, boy..." Terry said.

The troll overlord, a colossal figure standing at an imposing ten meters tall, dominated the battlefield. Its muscular frame was unlike any other troll they had encountered, and its mere presence sent shivers through the air, enveloping the surroundings in an icy chill. The creature’s dark, malevolent eyes glared down at the guild masters, exuding an aura of cold fury that seemed to freeze the very ground beneath them.

As Terry confronted the troll overlord, he felt an overwhelming sense of danger emanating from the beast. The intensity of the battle-hardened warrior within him knew that this enemy was not to be underestimated. The troll overlord’s sheer size and strength made it a formidable adversary, and Terry knew that he would need to give everything he had to stand a chance against it.

But to his surprise, the troll overlord’s attention suddenly shifted from him to the women in the group. A twisted, disgusting grin spread across its monstrous face, sending shivers down their spines. Terry’s blood boiled with anger and protectiveness as he witnessed the sinister look in the troll overlord’s eyes. He knew that this vile creature saw his friends as vulnerable targets, and he would not stand for it.

"Son of a bitch..." Rebecca said. "If you don’t kill him, Terry, I will kill him myself."

Rebecca’s anger radiated like an inferno as she faced the troll overlord. Terry could see the fire in her eyes, and he understood her fury all too well. The troll overlord’s vile intentions, seeing the women not only as weaklings but also as playthings, struck a nerve with the survivors and warriors within the group.

The women in their guild were not just allies; they were formidable fighters, individuals who had proven their strength and courage time and again. To be regarded with such disdain and objectification was a deep insult to their abilities and accomplishments. Terry knew that this went beyond mere offense for Rebecca and the others – it was an affront to their dignity and worth as warriors.

"I don’t like to play hero, but I guess I will have to kill you for this," Terry declared. "Can’t let you ogle at my minions like that."

"Who is your minion?" Rebecca asked.

"I smell the blood of someone who has been fighting overlords; what do you think you are accomplishing with this, human?" The troll overlord asked.

"I could ask you the same thing; what are you trying to accomplish by invading our world?" Terry asked. "Are you bored or something? Did you finally dominate your world, and now you are planning to invade others?"

"Your species must be pretty young if you don’t even know what is happening with your lands," Explaining is a waste of time since you all are going to die, except your females."

The ice troll overlord’s towering form loomed over the battlefield, his massive hands raised high in the air. As the surrounding ice began to respond to his dark power, a chilling aura enveloped his hands, swirling and coalescing into sharp, deadly claws made of ice.

Terry’s heart skipped a beat as he watched the ice claws take form. He could feel the bone-chilling cold emanating from the monstrous appendages. It was clear that this creature possessed an elemental mastery over ice, wielding its power with malevolent intent.

The guild masters and their companions readied themselves for what would undoubtedly be a fierce and grueling battle. The ice troll overlord’s dark aura sent shivers down their spines. Still, they stood firm, determined to face this formidable adversary.

"This might be troublesome," Terry thought.

Terry’s mind raced as he observed the ice troll overlord’s massive claws. He had initially assumed that a creature of such immense size would be slow and lumbering. Still, the sight of those deadly ice claws made him realize the grave error in his judgment.
