Chapter 148: The harder they fall

Still, at least that made Terry feel a bit more motivated. He kicked the wall and then attacked the monster. The impact made the massive monster tremble and his sword pierced a few centimeters of that monstrosity... it could be damaged, then it could be killed.

"What is wrong with you? Getting overwhelmed like this," Terry thought while furrowing his eyebrows. "This isn’t the time for bullshit."

The monster assumed it’s fighting stance again, but when it was about to attack, Terry disappeared. The monster flinched for a moment wondering what happened... It was pretty clear that Terry had become invisible, but as soon as the monster realized that, something hit it’s knee and the whole creature trembled.

The monster looked in that direction, but found nothing. It looked like Terry could attack while remaining invisible... While that was troublesome, the beast knew that a spell of that level would require a lot of mana and Terry didn’t look like a mage who had a ton of it.

Just to be sure that Terry would waste his mana and would become unable to do anything afterwards, the monster began to cast a sand storm around itself... Still, that didn’t prevent him from suddenly hitting the back of the monster and almost falling forward. While the beast was trying to recover, Terry attacked the same spot on the nape of the monstrosity again and again with Fire Swords.

Still, Terry was forced to jump away with one of the massive blades approached from the side and almost split him in half... Terry landed on the ground and saw that the arms of the beast could move quite... it had ten of them, but those arms weren’t that restrictive.

The monster turned around and was surprised to see Terry standing and facing the monster and then pointed its hand toward him. Terry raised his sword to block the attack, but instead of that, his body was covered by layer of dirt and then he sank to the ground.

Vanessa and Rebecca left their mouths hanging open when they saw that, but soon Terry jumped from the ground while covered in dirt... he could use earth manipulation as well, so it isn’t surprising. Still, he should have consumed a lot of mana to counter the enemy’s attack.

Before Terry could stop, the enemy tried to split him in half by swinging its sword. In the end, Terry blocked the attack, but he flew to the distance while making a high pitching sound. Before he could stop, several monsters charged at him and swung their stone staves to hit him, but while the dust was falling, all of the monsters began to drop dead.

The massive overlord began to fly in that direction once it realized that Terry wouldn’t be killed by its minions. A more personal touch was necessary for that. Still, before the monster could get too close, two massive earth blocks hit the back of its head and made the head move forward... the monster turned around and then saw Vanessa and Rebecca. Maybe it should kill them first...

All of a sudden, the back of the monster was hit again and the beast suddenly felt some danger when it realized that its wounds on its back were increasing in size too fast... Terry used Magic blade again and again on that spot and while most of his mana was empty, at least he confirmed that the monster had no circuits or similar things on its body... It was purely made of metal.

Still, that wasn’t enough, Terry soon saw the damage that he had caused repairing itself... in any case, he jumped away when another sword approached him and when he was about to reach the ground, the enemy kicked him with its heel. Terry blocked the attack with his sword, but he still was sent flying to the distance while spinning.

"I truly hate giant enemies..." Terry thought when he touched the ground and stopped spinning.

Terry felt his whole body cracking thanks to the fact that he was sent flying like that. Still, he avoided most of the damage by touching the monster with the tip of his sword... that decreased the area affected. His weapon still lost a shit ton of durability, though.

In the next moment, a massive lightning bolt fell from the sky and then bit the giant enemy... Terry told them to stay clear and avoid drawing the attention of the enemy, but their risk management skills sucked.

Still, that didn’t stop Terry from charging in and then attacking the giant monster right in the same knee he hit before. The monster that was completely paralyzed trembled once more and then began to fall forward, but then the creature suddenly began to swing its arms again. In the next moment, Terry saw two giant swords almost spitting him in three halfs.

Terry jumped and spun his body and then passed through the space between the two swords. He sighed in relief in the air when he confirmed, but then two other swords were swung down toward him. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

The area trembled with the impact and no one could tell what had happened since a massive dust curtain spread around in the area.

Before long, the enemy noticed that something was off... one of its hands wasn’t moving and then when the monster raised that arm, it saw a small sword piercing its palm... it was the lightning blade.

Thanks to that, the monster dropped one of its swords and then looked for Terry, but it didn’t find anything once the place where he had been before. The creature assumed that he had gone invisible again, but it was only a matter of time before he showed up.

Still, instead of Terry, the giant monster. The creature frowned since its hand was still paralyzed... the monster imagined that Terry was doing something, but while the beast raised its guard, in the next moment, the creature began to fall.
