Chapter 149: Combination

A large impact echoed in the area and no one knew the cause of it until the monster fell... what actually happened was that the sword that the monster dropped was used against the monster. Vanessa and Rebecca knew that Terry was the cause of that...

Giant Steel Sword - Lv 01 (0/10 EXP) (Rare)

Attack Power: 40

Defense: 40

Magic Defense: 40

Durability: 70/100

Terry was surprised. The weapon was pretty powerful and that was thanks to its size alone. He wished that he could use it more often since leveling up would make it insanely powerful, but it wasn’t possible.

The overlord got up as fast as it could and looked for Terry, but found nothing. The weapon was on the ground and quite damaged, so it seemed that he ran away again... he couldn’t imagine him staying invisible forever, but maybe he was doing something else nearby.

Rebecca and Vanessa watched the enemy looking around, completely pissed. Usually, an enemy this powerful would taunt Terry and say nonsense, but it almost looked like the beast couldn’t talk. Something was off... or maybe Terry’s guess was right and the monster was inside the massive thing... It was just a suit of armor made rti scare its enemies.

The monster kept looking around while Terry was watching things from above. He wasn’t invisible, but he was flying high in the sky while using a bit of earth manipulation as he studied the enemy and ways to surprise it.

"It doesn’t look like a warrior with experience... with armor like that, the overlord is used to crushing all enemies and that is why it is acting like a novice in combat," Terry thought.

The enemy wasn’t trying to take the lightning blade from one of its hands even though it was paralyzed... the enemy would have to drop another sword to do that, after all, so it didn’t want to show another opening.

"I thought that I could use brute strength with my trait against all enemies... just like this shithead," Terry thought. "This is a good lesson for me as well."

Terry couldn’t get carried away, even with his trait. Thanks to that sudden clarification, he had an idea and soon began to fall toward the enemy. When the overlord finally felt Terry’s presence and looked upward, a massive earth hammer hit against the top of its head. The sound of metal colliding could be heard dozens of kilometers away... and once again, the monster fell.

The metallic part at the top of the monster heads showed a large hole that soon began to fix itself, but even before that could happen, the monster began to get up and then Terry disappeared once again.

Enraged, the monster began to swing its swords around trying to repel Terry in case he approached, he was fine with that. Even though the overlord couldn’t get tired by using too much stamina, Terry knew that it was using a shit ton of mana to move.

While the enemy was wasting time, Terry was far away killing the stone knights and recovering some of his mana. Still, he knew that he couldn’t stay away from there forever.

"In this situation, I should..." Terry thought. "It will cost a ton of mana, but it will give me another opportunity to attack and prepare the final attack to get rid of this asshole."

Terry disappeared again and soon he appeared high in the sky, five kilometers above the battlefield... without wasting time, he used all of his mana to control and condense the water in the atmosphere in a massive ice sphere. Without wasting time, Terry made it fall toward the enemy when his mana was almost over... one minute later, the enemy felt its swords touching something, but then the projectile didn’t break and collided against the head of the enemy once again.

The impact knocked down the monster and also covered the beast in ice and then Terry fell as well hitting the top of the head of the monster, he let his sword right there, piercing deeper the armored vessel of the beast.

Despite the ice covering its body and slowing down its movements, the overlord got up quite fast and as if Terry was there, the monster turned toward the wall of the city... at the same time, the monster charged toward it while swinging its swords. The massive wall began to fall apart like it was made of cotton when the giant overlord attacked it.

"Use all of your magic at the top of the monster’s head," Terry said when he suddenly appeared beside Vanessa and Rebecca. "Rebecca, prepare to use your magic."

"What are you planning?" Vanessa asked. "I know that you want to get rid of the enemy, but he is well prepared enough to do all this... you need to know where he is first before going all out."

"Just leave it to me and attack," Terry said.

Vanessa had a lot to say, but they didn’t have time for that, so she raised her arms to the sky and began to concentrate all of her mana. When dark clouds began to appear in the sky, the enemy stopped moving and then looked at them and then changed directions.

"Rebecca, push me toward the enemy using earth magic, use all your energy as well because we won’t have a second chance," Terry said. "Do that when Vanessa attacks. Don’t hesitate, or this will end badly to all of us."

They didn’t even know if Vanessa would be able to pull that off before the monster cut them into pieces... the hunters on the wall were running in all directions while only Rosalia was moving toward them.

Still, before he could reach them, and when the monster was fifty meters away, Vanessa made her largest lightning bolt fall from the sky... it was ten meters long and almost hit the head of the beast... the creature actually raised its swords to block the attack...
