As soon as he finished speaking, two bodyguards entered the villa and seized Sunny Reed’s arms.

Sunny Reed struggled fiercely, resisting with all her might. "No! Walker Grant, you can’t do this to me! What happened that night had nothing to do with me! You can’t send me away! You can’t frame me!" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

She thrashed about like a madwoman. When she couldn’t break free, she lowered her head and bit down hard on the back of one bodyguard’s hand.

The bodyguard cried out in pain and instinctively loosened his grip.

Sunny Reed seized the chance and bolted for the stairs.

’Her son was upstairs!’

’As long as she could get her hands on Noah Grant, he would be her get-out-of-jail-free card!’

’Walker Grant wouldn’t dare separate a mother and son!’

However, the other bodyguard was incredibly fast. He grabbed her and pinned her to the floor.

Tears streamed down Sunny Reed’s face. "Walker Grant, you can’t do this to me! You can’t separate me from Noah! Noah is my life! You can’t do this."

She sobbed pitifully. "I was the one who saved you, but you mistook me for Chloe Reed! I didn’t care about any of that. You’re my brother-in-law, we’re family—none of that mattered. But then Chloe Reed kept misunderstanding me, over and over. I always held on to the belief that you trusted me, so I wasn’t afraid. But now? Now you’re sending me away, telling me never to come back. What did I do wrong?! What gives you the right to treat me like this?!"

She shrieked hysterically, her voice loud enough to hopefully catch her son’s attention in his room.

Unfortunately, the soundproofing in the Grant Family Estate was too good. There was no way Noah Grant could hear her cries from his room.

Besides, his room was on the third floor.

Walker Grant’s sharp brows furrowed. His devilishly handsome face was still a shade pale as he gave a dismissive wave of his hand.

The two bodyguards hauled Sunny Reed to her feet and began dragging her outside.

"No, don’t! Let go of me! Let me go!" Sunny Reed cried, struggling, but it was no use.

"Walker Grant, I regret ever saving you! Is this how you repay me?! I never asked for much, but you never gave me anything! And now you’re throwing me out! You’re an ungrateful bastard, and you’ll get what’s coming to you!"

Sunny Reed sobbed and cursed, utterly desperate.

Judith Pierce strode forward and slapped her across the face. "What nonsense are you spouting! You know perfectly well what you’ve done. Walker should have sent you packing long ago!"

Sunny Reed’s ears were ringing from the slap. Looking at Judith Pierce’s furious face, she burst out laughing. "You orchestrated this whole thing! You planned it! You were the one trying to set up your own son! So why am I the one being punished?!"

Her eyes were filled with venom, and the hatred inside her grew wildly.

She was quickly shoved into a car. As it pulled away from the Grant Family Estate, she suddenly grew calm.

The bodyguards in the car remained on high alert, wary of her trying something. Thankfully, the entire trip to the airport was uneventful.

"..."

Judith Pierce was furious. ’How dare that bitch Sunny Reed curse her son!’

Any trace of pity she’d felt for Sunny Reed vanished completely.

She looked over at Walker Grant. His handsome face was expressionless, but his eyes were fixed on the clock.

Judith Pierce glanced at it. It was twelve o’clock, noon.

’Why does he keep looking at the time?’

Judith Pierce pushed down her confusion and walked over to him. "Walker," she said, "I’m going to go find your father. We’ll be back for the New Year. In the meantime, you have to take good care of yourself."
