Chloe Reed was pinned down, her resistance growing weaker.

The smell of alcohol on him washed over her, so intoxicating that she felt a hazy drunkenness of her own.

Walker Grant sensed her relax and loosened his hold on her slightly.

SLAP!

But the next second, the crisp sound of a slap rang out.

A clear, five-fingered mark quickly bloomed on Walker Grant’s face.

All of his movements ceased. A storm brewed in his phoenix eyes as he stared straight at her.

Chloe Reed’s hand trembled from the impact.

Yet she forced herself to sound calm. "I told you, I don’t want to."

Walker Grant touched his face, then ran his tongue along the inside of his cheek. A hint of madness flickered in his phoenix eyes.

"Are you going to hit me again?"

For a moment, Chloe Reed just looked at him, confused.

With a sudden, forceful tug, Walker Grant tore her clothes.

"If not, then I’m continuing."

Chloe Reed’s eyes widened, and she stared at him in disbelief.

But he gave her no chance to react, his mouth crashing down on hers once more.

This time, he gave her no opportunity to fight back.

The night stretched on endlessly.

An unknown amount of time passed before Chloe Reed’s breathing finally evened out. She lay prone on the bed while he kissed her shoulder, his eyes radiating a deep, sated satisfaction.

She closed her eyes, her voice raspy. "I’m going to take a shower."

"I’ll run the water."

Walker Grant’s tone softened.

He got up and went into the bathroom.

Chloe Reed bit her lip hard, seething with resentment.

Just then, her phone chimed. She took a deep breath and picked it up.

It was an anonymous email.

The content was a photo.

Under dim lighting, Walker Grant and Sunny Reed were in a cramped space. He was looking down at her, his eyes lowered, while her hand rested on his chest.

The light enveloped them, creating a picturesque scene.

Chloe Reed gripped her phone with white knuckles!

Her eyes were practically spitting fire.

Fighting through the soreness aching in her body, she shoved open the bathroom door.

"Get out!"

Walker Grant, who was running the water, was caught off guard by her roar.

He turned to look at her, his strong brows furrowing. "What is it now? Did I not satisfy you just now?"

But Chloe Reed ignored him completely, grabbing the nearest object and hurling it at him.

"Get out! Just get out!"

Walker Grant raised a hand to block it and strode forward to grab her wrists.

"What the hell is wrong?!"

Chloe Reed’s chest heaved. "I don’t want to see you! I hate you! Get out!"

’But everything was fine just a moment ago. Even if it was awkward at first, we were in sync later on.’

But now, she was this hysterical, her eyes filled with fury as she glared at him.

Walker Grant was completely bewildered.

His voice was low. "You do a 180 way too fast, Chloe. Is there something you can’t just tell me directly?"

"I’ve said it so many times, but you never listen. Why should I waste my breath on you?" Chloe Reed shoved him away and pointed at the door. "Either you get out, or I leave."

"Chloe..." Walker Grant frowned, wanting to say more.

But Chloe Reed just turned and walked toward the entrance.

She was in her nightgown with her long hair disheveled, and the fair skin from her chest down was covered in suggestive marks. ’How could she possibly go out looking like that?’

Walker Grant stepped forward to block her path. "Fine, I’ll go."

He bent down, picked up his clothes, and strode out of the house. The moment the door clicked shut, it was as if all of Chloe Reed’s strength had abandoned her, and she collapsed onto the carpet.
